[Kegan] I got my housing assignment, and the email's just like.. "Lol move in is on friday for this building. See you in 2 days." And it's just like... A) I'm going to be out of town for a week, and B) I just learned what size bed I need to buy sheets for, and I haven't bought ANYTHING. and C: The stupid orientation people told us several times that move in was one the 15th-17th campus-wide. It looks like I can move in any day after the first, but they won't have people out coordinating it after the third until the 15th, and probably not at this building. All dumb s**t aside, I am gonna have my own bedroom, a full size mattress and a full kitchen, dishwasher and laundry in unit. woooo. Also most of my classes are really short walks away! WOOOOOO! I already skyped with one of my new roomates, and he seems like a nice enough guy. Wow, that is dumb. Orientation people are universally awful, I guess. I basically just skipped over my "mandatory" orientation, so you'll probably be okay if the coordinating peeps aren't around. I mean, as long as the building itself is open and you're able to physically move in. That's all I did during orientation. I didn't go to any of the "mixer" events, because I had terrible anxiety about moving away for the first time. Good news about the amenities there! Having a kitchen, dishwasher, and laundry place is rad as hell! And walking distance is AWESOME. Nice, nice. NICE. And you already connected with your roomie!

Jarogue Also if I play on easy how will I be a true Mega Man. The originals are fine to play on normal but the Zero games just aren't as enjoyable, imo. Then again, I'm not you!
16-bit Jazzy I dunno, I think it's fun even if it is pretty luck-based. If it weren't luck-based, you'd know the outcome for sure every time. The main significant problem is that all cards are FAR from being created equal. Try going up against someone with a bunch of EX cards and legendaries when all you have is some basic b***h deck you bought in-store. There's still a chance you might win, but you probably won't. Not fun. Not fun until you get your hands on Mega Venusaur EX, that is. Muahahaha... ninja Edit: I don't know if this a new thing, but a Pokémon's weakness depends on the Pokémon. Like, not all "Water" types are weak to the same thing, for example. Some might be weak to Electric, some to Grass... I don't mind some luck in anything because it makes it more fun, but it's like if every time you went to use an attack in SSB you didn't know if it would work or not. At least, that's been my experience. I've just had a lot of bad experiences so no matter what anyone says it probably won't mean a lot. I'd like to try it again but I'm not looking forward to that at the same time.
The cards aren't balanced, the types don't make sense, the luck of the draw determines every single aspect of it.
That's not a new thing at all which was one of the problems I was detailing. I'd rather each type is weak to another type so I can at least strategize but when the most you can reasonably have on your team is two types and normal, it's not like you can have a lot of variety to strategize anyway! And the attacks are always just one type! All of my Pokemon always have like types of four different moves.
Blah.

If you don't like not knowing whether the attack will work or not, then just avoid cards with attacks that have you flip coins for them to do anything. It is risky, after all. Or don't play Pokémon at all... even in the games, the attacks miss sometimes. Even in Smash Bros.!
The types don't really even matter that much in the card game, in my experience, aside from deciding which energy cards you can use with which Pokémon. It's just like, if your opponent just happens to be weak to one of your Pokémon, it's best to take advantage of that. I wouldn't really go out of my way to abuse weaknesses though, because it's pretty much impossible to predict stuff like that and prepare?? (unless you're fighting the computer and they announce that their entire deck will be fire or something beforehand... maybe). And yeah, each deck has different types so worst comes to worst, use the type that doesn't have the weakness!
There are ways to strategize outside of type. Lots of ways! And seemingly endless possibilities for your deck! There's not just one winning formula (though some I'm sure are better than others).
It's fun to get creative and discover new strategies or cards that you really like to play. THERE'S SO MANY.
But this won't mean a lot anyway~
