So I had this random box in my inventory, opened it and I got 48 million gold. 2005 me would have been excited but I dunno even what to do with it now.

The Steam sale is here... but... the game I really wanted to buy didn't go on sale. Does that mean it's not gonna go on sale at all during the Winter Sale?

Oh boy. I guess I missed my "gaiaversary." I don't even use the email that I used to make this account back in 2005. One day I might just not be able to log on, and I may never bother making an alt just to say so.
Right now I'm mostly just bored, because the ateam sale started, and my computer is a half hour drive away. I can buy these games now. They are cheap enough, but I am just not sure I'll still be thinking about them a week from now, when I get home.
I feel like the money I do have, which is for school, should really only be spent on supplies and food, but I can kinda count on some kind of money from relatives. hmmmmmmmmm...

My dad's wireless mouse is too shitty to be used for hxc gaming. Next time I'll have to bring my wired mouse, I guess.
Like Osu! needed to be even more impossible...

Hmmm. In the original, didn't the trainer who appeared depend on the version?
Also, I bought the metal gears. I felt bad doing that after buying the 3ds synth app, but that doesn't really feel like a man child's indulgence, now that I'm learning how to use it.
My brother and his girlfriend of some years are coming for christmas after almost not doing so. Now I gotta get the presents I was gonna ship them done in time for the 24th.
Ugh, and then I have to WRAP them. I'm still not even 100% clear on what I'm doing for my little brothers.

Idk, if I search "Omega Ruby opening" on YouTube, it only shows Brendan again. I can't really remember about the originals, but I feel like it alternated?
I could check on Omega Ruby since I technically own it for now, but I'm too lazy
Also, even if that is how it is, I'm still pissed off. The boy appearing in the blue game, and the girl in the red. Of COURSE. -.- Gendered colors. Can't decide what would be worse: that or just not having May appear altogether.
It's already bad enough that the trainers' mothers never have lives really outside of being a mother in the kitchen. Oh big deal, the XY's protag's mom had apparently been a racer. She never did anything cool in the actual game. Meanwhile, the trainers' fathers are allowed completely ditch their wives forever and go god knows where, with the exception of Norman. Speaking of which, why doesn't the whole family just live in Petalburg where the gym is? Are the parents divorced? It's a shame, because Norman of all the trainer fathers seems like the least likely to actually deserve to be divorced with. Ugh, but anyway it's a shitty, boring tradition. Make a stay-at-home father and a shitty absent mother, or make both parents stay at home, and make both parents actually important in some way to the story, even if it's small.

yeah may appears in neither intro. she does make a good rival though, probably one of the most emotive characters in the game.

Wasn't the mom in Diamond and Pearl a Contest Star and the mom in Gold and Silver got you cool stuff for if you sent money home and call you to make sure your ok.
At least Ruby and Sapphire you had a dad this time. Everybody in Pokemon has a dad but you like Silver, Wally, Steven, Barry, Bianca and N.
Also they state that your families moves to Littleroot Town because Norman was friends with Birch since childhood. Norman just happen to assigned a gym in Petalburg City.

Yeah, the mom in GS does a useful thing but she's still not very interesting. She stays at home, cooks and then shops (with your money). She's still my favorite Pokemon mom, but... Idk. it's okay to have characters that are all 1950's like that once in awhile but it seems like instead, moms in Pokemon only have lives once in awhile.
