Ceclia stepped out of the shower. Having the temperature set at almost scorching, the the mirror was very much fogged. The Sapphire Herald dried herself off as she stepped out wrapping the big towel around her physique while she grabbed a smaller towel from the rack and used it to wrap her damp silver tresses. She used one of the facial towels to wipe the condensation from the mirror. Cecilia had finished with a few hours of training not too long ago. Her muscles ached, very much in need of a massage, but as the saying goes "No pain no gain". She removed the smaller towel from her head and patted her hair dry before she applied some of the anti-frizz serum she had gotten the other day and worked it into her stubborn tresses. She then turned the blow dryer on and began to brush her hair as the hot air coming from the device she held in her hand dried each silver strand.
Once her hair was dried and naturally curled the way she liked it, she finished everything else quickly before going into the room and walking towards the bed, towards the outfit and accessories that she had laid out. Cecilia normally didn't wear pink, but she thought that this particular shade was quite nice, a soft not over-powering blush pink. She got dressed, sitting on the bed to put the heeled boots on. It was another ensemble she had bought herself. The jeans were a little tight, reminding her that she definitely needed to lose some weight in her rear end, but no matter how much she trained and worked out, that particular part of her body just would not shrink. Because of her naturally rosy cheeks, full lips, and long eyelashes, the Herald decided against make-up. But she did spray a little bit of perfume.
Cecilia planned on going to the casino. If anyone else wanted to join her, that would be up to them. She was sure that some of the couples would want to spend time with each other. Cecilia was tempted to hold herself up in her room and not to anything, but she needed to get out, and if that meant going to the casino, gambling away all her money, or perhaps increasing what she had, then so be it. Her luck had been quite good, so maybe she could make a decent amount tonight. Grabbing her purse and her phone, she left the room and started down the hall towards the casino to sin. She was most likely going to Hell anyways, so why not have a little fun on the way?

Jeannie had been up most of the morning making various phone calls and getting herself dressed. The telepath put on some silver looking lipstick and brushed her hair in a uniform fashion before leaving her mirror and walking outside of the door. For the most part Jeannie had stayed to herself, she didn't have ties to anyone here other than Lucien and honestly she didn't care if she was alone for the time being, she knew that she would see Lucien later that day. She managed to take care of her business and grab a bountiful meal as well.
Now that she had finished her errands for the day, she decided that she would go and see what Lucien was up to. Lucien, it's me Jeannie. Where are you? I've grown quite bored and would enjoy your company. I can come to you, it'll be no problem. Besides it's been a while since we've had a good conversation she projected to him. Sipping on a margarita, Jeannie exhaled looking at the view of the Casino from the bar. Lucien would be hers today, she had been playing patiently enough...yes today would be the day.Aeon was now more confident in Sebastian and Tai to watch Aiden. She didn't do it often but she was finally allowed some time to herself, at least to think. The last few days she had been talking to her adoptive parents and arranged for them to come out to Vegas for a couple of days, to not only visit her, but to meet Moli as well. Aeon was kind of nervous though, what if they didn't like Moli? Then it was the fact that she would be coming out to them as an OWL.
Aeon had been preparing her make up and was now finished. It was a a simple little piece with a nice bag to go along with it and Aeon enjoyed the style of it. She just hoped that Moli would be dressed. After all, they had dinner reservations and her parents would meet them at the restaurant. Will's workers had picked the parents up in a Limo and took care of all of their things earlier.
Aeon then put on some cute silver earrings to match and brushed her hair until it looked just right. The young projector then called out for her boyfriend. "Moli are you ready yet? My father is a real punctual person, hurry up or we will be late..." she told him as she finished getting herself ready. She had to admit, she was scared...but...this was something that needed to happen for her...and for her family. ((NPC-Aiden)) "Aweeeeehhhh" the young baby cooed as he pulled on Sebastian's hair. The baby had grown fond of being around him and Tai, and always had a good time while he was with them. Aeon had dropped him off earlier because of the meeting with her parents, and Amara had told Aeon that she had plans to be alone with Lucien for today, so the young babe was offered to Sebastian and Tai. Putting some of Sebastian's hair in his mouth he continued to laugh as saliva was now dripping in the butler's hair.

((UNS---Daryle))
The former Breezy Owl turned Fire Herald strolled into the busy casino looking less than happy. Daryle Saxton had just spent a good few hours on a plane flight back to America leaving his little family back in Japan. While he was used to leaving Erin and Freya behind, this time it had been different. The night before Daryle had sat Erin down and gone through a few details that she needed to know. While the information had been vague, she was a smart woman and clicked on pretty quickly. Erin now knew that for whatever reason, their relationship was never going to be the same as it once was and that growing old together was now very unlikely. During the whole flight the blonde had been replaying the scene over and over…Erin was mad, upset and eventually crying by the end. Never had he made her cry before…and it had torn him apart.
Even when he was leaving, Erin never spoke a word. It was like she was already accepting the fact that….they no longer had a future. To Daryle, Erin was everything…She had been his only hope the day she found him and from that day he had sworn to never leave her. Was the second chance of life really worth the price of losing the love of his life? It was too late to regret, too late to undo what has happened. All Daryle could do now was work harder, to be there for her unconditionally. Even if she no longer wanted to live as his wife or lover. This was not what he had planned but it was no longer in his control. Perhaps his idea of a family was nothing more than a delusional fantasy that he had believed in for far too long.One thing remained was that he loved her dearly...but..how could he continue holding onto something he has no longer got? It was selfish, and Erin deserved better…Still, he wasn’t giving up.
The blonde male ignored all the gambling idiots and headed straight for the security guarded back door that would lead to the private staff quarters and other random rooms. He didn’t know where he was supposedly heading, nor did he have any clue where he was supposed to be right now. All he knew is that he just needed to keep walking and withhold from talking with anyone at this moment in time. It was for the best that Daryle found a room and got some rest before attempting communication with any other being that may be able to tell him what exactly was going on. Unknown to him, his anger was affecting his fire powers because now small wisps of smoke were rising from his head.
((NPC---Seb)
Sebastian chuckled darkly when baby Aiden decided that his hair would be far more fun to chew on as supposed to a teething ring he had been offered.. The butler pulled the baby away from his drool burdened hair and set him down on the sofa, using a few cushions to keep him from rolling over the edge. “Tai, this is not going to work if it is only me watching the baby, it is a two person commitment.” Well now, that was a very strange sentence to hear and Seb knew it. “Have you actually got round to preparing his bottle? He is due a feed now” The butler stood up and reached for a few documents that he really needed to get completed. “You can feed him while I finish these…” At that moment a text message popped onto his phone stating that Daryle had finally shown up and was already in the room prepared for him. The dark haired butler smirked and forwarded the text to Will knowing full well the Satan Owl probably already knew this. “Ah, looks like Serena can finally go home. You never know, perhaps you can go back soon as well. If you can handle being away from me and Che” Seb only said that because Tai had spent the last three days asking for a rematch. The butler still needed to dish out some punishment for the rude interruption Tai had caused the other day. All in good time…

Ҝѻjῐrѻ Ίʐɑѻyѻῐ═━┈...The Border of Dreams┈━═The Fallen Phoenix 【╳】 xxxxxxxxxxxx㊌ The Frozen Owl....㊌ ╔═══════ Mom!
Kojiro! Leave now! RUN!
LET HER GO!!! UWAH!
Kojiro!
...Ow...my arm...stay back....
...Maboroshi....
Help! nrugh! Let me go!
Shinjitsu...
Kojiro's eyes slowly opened, his vision went black, but he felt exhausted, he felt like he did not know where he was. Soon it all came back to him, it felt like a needle in his heart, laying on his chest, he slowly recollected every moment before he faltered. Was it just a bad dream? Was Serena just waking him up with another bucket of water? It was very cold afterall...sleeping so much can be bad for him. Kojiro's eyes softened, or could the whole thing been a dream been a dream from the beginning? Was he still on the rooftop where Nat's body lie? Kojiro mulled over the possibility of his mind creating a fantasy out of shock...could Serena been a hallucination from his loneliness? Kojiro could kid himself with several stories to make it seem less real. But he knew the truth, Serena was gone, and the whole time they had been together was some sick plan of theirs from the start. All the lies she fed him and the kindness he thought was sincere, were all an act. Kojiro kicked himself on the inside, perhaps if he had not been so vulnerable, looking for a family was such a childish dream at this point. He had to face facts, They were in a war, Kojiro should not have wasted his time looking for that kind of shelter.
Kojiro was groggy but he still needed to get up, it felt like he had been out for days, but in reality....he had been out for days. Kojiro put his hand down lightly on the ground to prop himself up, as soon as he placed his hand on the ground his eyes shot open. He quickly picked himself up halfway to see Serena's room entirely frozen, that night, a large radius from that building, New Exire was frozen solid, a thick layer of ice shredded through pipelines and in water supplies, covering the streets and buildings with a layer of frost, it looked worse than the dead of winter, it looked like the middle of an ice age in that area. Kojiro picked himself up,"....Was this....was this me?!" Kojiro thought frantically. Then it hit him...
“The snow was your doing...When you found your fallen comrade it began to fall from the sky. I feel your emotions play a huge part in how you control your ability...That can be a good and a very bad thing.”
"...I'm afraid you are mistaken...I am not that powerful...manipulating the weather is like manipulating the entire ocean for me...even in tight situations I tried that...when our lives hung on a distraction for an escape....I could not muster that kind of control over ice..."
Kojiro looked at his hands, they were still pale and cold, like his power only restrained itself as he regained consciousness, he then realized his mistake and stumbled to his feet, paying dearly by stirring so quicklly after just waking up, he was never asleep though, just...still. Kojiro still felt very numb, in his mind and body, however he had something far more important,"...Rikka!" he called out. There was no reply, he looked around and spotted a large bundle of blankets that had been iced over, Kojiro stumbled and tripped until he had the bundle in his arms, he could see a small patch of white fur under it. Kojiro's wide eyes stared intently for any response from his small friend. He looked at the door and bolted outside, slipping and scrambling to get out into the sun, past the hallways and exits hoping he did not lose what little he had left...
A light ticking could be heard in his room, a clock ticked monotonously in the seemingly empty room, it was lifeless, there was nothing much to it but some worn clothes strewn on the floor and a few trinkets placed on his nightstand. The lights were off, but the sun was peeking through right on the fresh bundle of blankets and his coat. Kojiro sat quietly in the char at the table of his room, his hands in his lap. His eyes were fixed on the still blankets, the heater roared loudly through the ventilation. Even through that, the only other sound in the room was a ticking. Kojiro simply stared emptily at it, he could not feel anything though, inside he was hurting. He knew he did this to Rikka, and even in the midst of the ice, she still kept close to him. Kojiro did not know what to do anymore, even sitting in his room, it was very barren, going to see Serena was comforting,especially when Raven and Lorna were conducting their own operations, he would receive some invitation to her room, though it was odd for him, in reality, he much rather enjoyed spending time in that apartment, it was much more lively when there was company. Kojiro now had to face reality, that was never going to happen again, as his vision faded back to his lifeless room, he simply waited, hoping Rikka would move or respond.
Suddenly, there was some movement. Kojiro's eyes moved slightly out of their trance like state, He looked towards the bundle as the Kitten once again moved, like it was just pulled out of a slumber. A very faint smile appeared at the corner of his lips, he was relieved, but also the first of many things finally made themselves perfectly clear for the moment.
"Its just you and me now..."
【 ✘】 ═══════╝ Tai had already finished preparing the bottle, he pulled the formula out of the water and tested the formula's temp, cafefully making sure ti was just at the right temperature. Tai slid over and shuffled over to the butler and pointed at him,"...Hey! I have been helping out too you old coot! Just because you think you are doing all the work doesn't mean..." Tai stopped mid sentence out of both annoyance and self preservation, he shrugged and simply finished fastening the bottle, he cooed lightly as he poked the little fleshy lump, with a small smile he picked up the baby gently and lightly placed a bottle towards his mouth, placing a small napkin under it in case it spilled or the baby spit it up. He sat down lazily and kept the small child close, sure to be able to handle such a task, also to spite the Butler.

((Will))
Of course, there had been a Chicken Caesar Salad with carrots and lettuce in it ready for Serena when she awakened the next day....and the day after that...and so on...and today as well...as if the joke didn't get old. Cerberus had been around Serena keeping her company and playing pillow. The dog did mumble randoom stuff like "Two kittehhhs and one bunnehhh", but only in Serena's presence. Now, what could he possibly mean by those?
The Satan Owl had just finished an early morning meeting. The Vegas strip was more crowded on this day because it was a weekend. As Sebastian suspected, the devil already knew that Ember and Daryle had left Japan. He was letting Serena stay a few more days though to relax a little before returning to the Land of the Rising Sun. Her mind still drifted to Kojiro. He had not answered her question when she fell asleep, but he knew Kojiro would be fine in the long run.
Ah, the lapdog has returned. The blonde smirked as he felt Daryle enter the casino. ....as if the smoke rising from his head was going to blend in with the smoke form the cigarettes and cigars in the casino. It was clear to Will that Daryle was not in the best of moods, which meant it was an opportune time for Will to bother him.
And so, Will headed down and due to his knowledge of the layout easily ferried himself into the private staff quarters. The blonde devil turned the corner and stopped as he waited for Daryle to notice him. If the Breezy Fire Owl didn't notice, Freya's father would crash into Will head first. Ironically, the devil was one of few people who could shed light on Daryle's predicament....if the devil bothered with it at all. "Welcome back, Saxton. Steaming a bit more today, hmm?"

"Gah....cah I brusch mah teesh firsch? Geezch..." said the tired man as he swashed a toothbrush around his teeth, gums and then tongue The blonde haired, light blue eyed Owl hadn't gotten much sleep the night before thanks to Aeon giving him a lecture on how to act around her foster parents. If it wasn't her pouring her heart about being a foster child it, it was her giving him lectures on etiquette. "Please..." The Herald spat into the sink and afterwards shook his head in slight annoyance and uncomfortableness. This moment, which he knew he couldn't possibly ruin if he just acted right and kept silent, was made harder by his loving girlfriend and part of him wanted to do something at all to make them think. Rather than perturb his girlfriend with such antics, he decided that for her, he'd keep on his best behavior and not screw anything up even if it was in his genes to ruin what is otherwise a perfect moment with some form of odd humor.
After brushing down his hair which had grown slightly longer in the recent months, he patted down his brown and mahogany sweater. The two colors, which didn't contrast very much and thus gave him a rather dapper look, were arranged in a checkboard pattern. The collar and hemming though were brown. The button up was the same shade of darker brown and as such it matched. His pants were darker than both the hues and his shoes, which Moli referred to as "church shoes" were matched his pants perfectly save for the golden buckles that adorned them. His belt buckle saved the apparel, but to an insignificant degree. He could've went without it and still looked to be what he considered, 'fly as a mother f*****'.
"Punctual huh? You're right. He sounds like he has a man period all the time..." jeered the projector's boyfriend as he decided upon whether or not to undo or keep his uppermost button buttoned. Stepping next to Aeon and dropping a kiss onto her left cheek, he walked onwards. "Alright then...c'mon. Let's get this over with. Feeling really stuffy right now..."
~~~
~This is so stupid......If I can just go and take this power from someone, then why am I here? What if I could take Erin's power right now?....That'd make things way easier for me.~ With his hand in the other telepath's, The Life Owl's eyes began to wonder about the room in sheer boredom. This was ridiculous, he thought, that he'd have to be taught such an ability because he'd yet to learn it fully himself. He recanted that he was the one that asked for this, but now he was regretting it. Now that Erin and he expansive knowledge of the power was sitting right in front of her, the Owl of Grey wanted to just peel her skull off and take the information for himself. It was more efficient than just sitting here doing nothing but having a seance.
Erin's eyes were closed. Right now, she was in a half-state of mental connection and being awake. If Roulin spoke, she could hear him and even respond to him so that made things difficult when he said something just to illicit a response. "You know, I could still be in Alaska training right now? Getting stronger so that we all can fight off those Exire bastards? You could be training right now as well Erin. With Elle, or Cecilia or someone." Even though the young man could feel his knowledge of the ability growing, it was still like downloading a large program using dial-up to him. Readjusting his position and then looking around, Roulin sighed. There was no one around in this empty room. Just some furniture....a few chairs....a bookshelf. "Erin," spoke Roulin as he leaned forward towards the girl, "Why are you helping me? You know this is the only aspect of Owl abilities I haven't mastered yet right? After this, I'll just be harder to stop if I become like Lucien you know."
Aeon listened to Moli gripe at her. "You know I love your laid back attitude and informal ways but today....nevermind" she said rolling her eyes. When Moli had said his last statement, Aeon frowned. "Get it over with? I haven't seen my parents in over 3 years Moli, it's meant to be enjoyable!!!" she exclaimed. She was irritable right now and Moli was being an a**. The couple proceeded to leave their room as Aeon made sure she had everything she needed. They were escorted into a limo as Aeon fixed herself up during the car ride and "fixed up" Moli as well.
The limo began to slow down and Aeon could only believe that they were in front of the restaurant that her adopted parents were. Opening the door she grabbed Moli by the hand as they began to walk into the restaurant. "Remember hun, don't sweat, my father seems like a mean guy, he's just mainly bark. Be respectful and you both will get along just fine" she said to him. As they walked in, Aeon spotted her parents.
"Aeon!!! Darling how have you been?!? We haven't heard from you in so long!!!" a tall man with salt and pepper hair said to her. He looked about 6'2, it seemed he was athletic back in his prime and had a stern expression, regardless of what he was saying to his daughter. Noticing the Italian that was on her arm he glared at Moli. "And this must be the boy...Molly???" he asked. He had to admit, he thought that the name was more feminine and couldn't help but speak on it. "Son why in the world do you have a woman's name?" he asked.
"Daddy!!! Stop it, his name is Moli and it's Italian" she said defending her boyfriend.
"I'm Colonel Darren Chambers" he said introducing himself. He then made room for his wife, a dainty woman who was about 5'6, had brownish/red hair, and green eyes. "And this is my wife Janet Chambers" he said with a rough grunt. "Nice to meet you Moli" she said in a small voice. The Colonel then escorted Aeon and Moli to the table as he grabbed the waiter. "Red wine all around...give me your nicest kind, we'll also take garden salads with red vinergarette" he said ordering the first part of their meal. "We'll accompany it with a nice potato soup and finish it off with buttered lobster...and bring some rolls...thanks" he said ordering for everyone there. "So Molly, tell me a little more about yourself. How long have you been seeing my daughter? You wouldn't happen to be the reason she dropped out of school?" he asked.
"Daddy!!!! Please!!!" Aeon protested to her father looking at him. She looked at Moli giving him a look saying Please just bare with me and don't say or do anything rash, please Moli. Aeon couldn't believe her father was doing this...well she could...but part of her was hoping he wouldn't act like this.
((UNS---Daryle))
It just so happened that Daryle did notice Will, or rather he had a feeling that the Satan Owl was standing just up ahead. With the help of some type of second sense, the blonde male had made a mental mark of where Will was without looking up to see him. Just as Daryle had expected, Will made some sort of remark, something about steaming. Daryle paused in his walk and glanced to the right towards Will without turning his head completely. “No, no steaming. It is bad for one’s complexion.” The blonde breezy man regained control over his newly acquired powers to stop the smoke rising from his person. “It’s good to be back.” it was hard to tell if he was telling the truth or if he was simply glad to have something to keep his mind of things.
Daryle leaned on the handle of his suitcase and blew a few strands of blonde hair out of his face. He had neglected to get it cut back in Japan but was now making a mental note to have it shortened as soon as possible…before it began pissing him off. “So, what am I here for? Considering there is a war on the horizon I am surprised to see that the former UNS and Night Owls are so relaxed. Unless, this is some kind of twisted joke….Oh, don’t tell me, they are already feeling confident? Ehhhh, must be nice to not give a flying s**t about the world outside these walls.” Well now, someone was in the mood for ranting. Daryle chuckled lightly and ran a hand through his hair in an attempt to push the messy strands out of his face.
“Ah, but before you start telling me random crap and information that may or may not be useful, I think finding a room would be more important. Standing around in the hallways is an hindrance for others.” With a small squeak from his the wheels on his suitcase, Daryle continued traveling down the long hallway without a care whether Will followed, zapped him or whatever he choose to do. “We can always walk and talk…That’s if, you have anything of use to say. Oh, and I take it I don’t need to tell you about the incident that took place in Japan. Heh, me a Herald, who would have thought right?”
((TFP---Serena)) “Ugh…It is already past 5pm…how the hell did I fall asleep again?” The Vanishing Owl was making use of her ‘free time’ while she could, sadly all she seemed to want to do was; sleep, b***h, eat, sleep, walk, sleep and target practice. (Which she sometimes missed due to sleeping) She felt like a lazy Ma sloth, a feeling that was completely foreign to her usual active lifestyle “Right! That’s it. I am only here for another day so I will make the most of it…” She stood up and stared aimlessly around the room. What was there to do besides gambling? And Serena didn’t like gambling. The thought of losing her money was something she didn’t like. “Oh, food…” She wasn’t hungry until she reminded herself that she hadn’t eaten anything since breakfast. And lo! A divine light shone onto a table upon which sat a silver platter like god Satan himself had made it so! The happy bunny crossed the room and pulled the silver lid of the tray revealing…….Chicken Caesar Salad….again.
“You would think he would have grown tired of this joke….” Serena was not going to give into her hunger. She may have done so that other times but this time…this time she was going to be strong and not give in to the succulent chicken, the moist lettuce...the softened carro-----SLAM! The lid had been placed back on top hiding the meal from sight. “I am eating out!” The white haired woman grabbed her bag and marched out her room quickly. She had a feeling Cerbs would be along with her momentarily, he had been 80% of her company for the last few days…besides the odd Will or Seb popping up. Sighing, Serena found herself thinking about Kojiro, someone whom was often with her whenever they had spare time. Where was he? What was he doing? Was he eating right? Feeling a bit down and not in the mood for being seen by others, Serena did what the Vanishing Owl did best, she vanished.
((NPC---Seb)
“Sure you are brat..” Sebastian crossed the room and began reading through the documents and notes he had taken from the mornings meeting. Usually these things would have been completed long before now. But with the current situation that had not been possible. “Don’t forget to wind him when he has finished feeding and check to see if he needs changing. I thought I could smell something off….” The butler smirked and leaned on a hand as he scribbled down a few things. Looking after a kid was not a problem. In fact, it didn’t affect his usual working pattern that much. The useful part of this was that Tai was getting some hands on experience and it was keeping his mind of having a rematch. “You will need all this practice for the future, Tai. So make use of it now” Sebastian hadn’t told Tai about the expectant bunny just yet…Of course, not telling him could be fun. Even more so if the blunt male made a comment about Serena gaining weight…Oh how dinner sets will fly…
Cerberus was in fact coasting around in Serena's cellphone, so he was technically already with Serena. The Vanishing Owl just hadn't noticed. And still, the salad sat on the salad in all its pristine glory, shining in divine light even as it was covered by a silver lid...
The Satan Owl walked behind Daryle and stepped forward to walk side by side with the Breezy Flame. He smirked as Daryle ranted. Obviously, Will knew what had transpired. "A room? Sure." And with a pat on Daryle's back, the two were teleported to some private room, Daryle's room, in the casino. "I must be too generous to them right now." the blonde devil remarked to Daryle's comments on the former UNS and Night Owls. The two teams were using Will's resources as if they were nothing and were not doing what they were supposed to be doing. Training. They couldn't even use the right resources correctly. No, there was always taking a limo and a driver or gambling and winning some money because Will allowed them to win. They were having it good and relaxing a bit too much, which was why Will had rigged surprises that would ambush them randomly to keep them on their toes. He wasn't concerned if they were maimed badly. It was their fault. If they couldn't deal with his rigged surprises, then they wouldn't survive on the battlefield.
"Mmm...yes, who would have thought? You will abandon your family and live in the shadows to them." It was a rhetorical statement. "...if that is the only way you can think of how to deal with it."
“Either you are being too generous or the wonders of Las Vegas are highly tempting at the time when the world is going to the dogs.” Came Daryle’s response as he wheeled his squeaky suitcase into the bedroom and shut the door behind it. “I suppose it is more a fine mixture of the two.” The blonde not so breezy…but still breezy….male took a seat on the sofa and stretched out with an appreciative groan. “I will never enjoy flying in a damn plane. Too many people snoring and the food sucks a**.” Daryle looked towards Will and narrowed his eyes. “I never said anything about abandoning my family…” The blonde male dug into his jacket pocket and pulled out a packet of cigarettes. Taking one and lighting it, he tossed the packet across the table towards Will. “Oh sh*t Will! Don’t tell me you are here to lecture me about families!?….Haha! Now this I have to hear”
A large plume of smoke left the Breezy man’s lips as he leaned forwards with a smirk. “If you must know, I plan on sticking by them by any means possible. Should Erin not want me around or wishes for a divorce then so be it….I am not going to force her into staying with me…” He closed his eyes and pulled the cigarette from his lips. “You should know how hard it is….mixing an endless life with others and trying to form a normal family setting. Hell, how many times have you watched someone you cared for die? Well, that’s if you have actually cared for someone.” The apprentice Fire Herald brought the cig back to his lips and took a long drag which he released with a soft blow of air.
“You know, I must be one selfish b*****d…” Daryle muttered with a small chuckle “I used Erin at the very beginning, scouted her out like some prizes horse. But, I don’t need to tell you that now do I? Needless to say, I am selfish now by not accepting that things will be changing soon. Ah, perhaps it is time to drop the family man act, if that is what it really is.” It was nothing of the sort, sure are the beginning he had used Erin as a way to start a new life…but now…he couldn’t think of a life without her at his side and yet, he was now faced with watching all his loved ones pass on before he did and he couldn’t follow them. “But enough about me, what have you been up to? Plotting in your evil lair? Seen any good films lately? Or perhaps you can offer me some advice, you must have some experiance in this type of situation. Some long forgotten wife? A few brats running around maybe? Come on Will, entertain me with your pearls of wisdom”
"There is a reason why I won't let you copy either one of my abilities." Erin spoke up, even though she had remained silent for the span of time that she and Roulin had been training. "For one: Just because you take a power from someone does not mean you'll be able to fully control it or understand how it works. My telepathy, and that of my sister's, is vastly different from others. My blood manipulation is caused through the technology that lives in my veins. As soon as you were to absorb that ability and copy it, your organics would not stand a chance against them." Erin replied out loud. She had been basically reading the Life Owl's mind just now. It was easy to do since Roulin did not truly seem invested in the training she was giving him, which he had requested by the way.
She paused and considered Roulin's questions about why she was helping him. Not only had he asked her to help him learn how telepathy worked, she felt he had the skills to use it. Her brow furrowed slightly when Roulin mentioned Lucien. "I am helping you because I do not believe you will turn out like Lucien. I know you have more sense than that to stoop to his level of making the world hate him. What does he think will happen once they defeat or destroy him? The Owls and Humans will just go back to hating each other. In the end, his efforts will go to waste. It would be pointless for you to follow in his footsteps, Roulin, as I know you have more sense than Lucien does on a social thinking level." With that, Erin fell silent as her eyes opened slowly, her gaze focused on the ground at Roulin's feet. She removed her hands from her grasp and took a step back from the Life Owl.
"Telepathy does not come to someone within an instant, Roulin. You cannot just copy it and expect it to work the way you want it to like any one of the other abilities you have taken." Erin disapproved immensely of the methods Roulin had been using to acquire his newer powers. She had kept her thoughts to herself on that for a while now, but at this point it would be a good time to bring it up that telepathy was on another portion of the spectrum from any of the other abilities that Roulin had encountered, especially the type of telepathy that Erin and her sister shared. Erin wasn't teaching Roulin any aspects of a hive mind. At least not until she thought he was capable of handling it. Maybe if he proved himself enough within that area, she might form a hive mind separate from the one she shared with her sister. Just in case the programming ever did take over her mind or Elle reverted back to it, Erin would have another telepath to rely on for backup. Erin needed someone she could trust and Roulin at this point in his life didn't have that sort of luxury from her with the way he was behaving and what he believed to be the right path. "If you feel that my method of teaching at this moment is not your cup of tea, then maybe I should resort to more... physical methods."
((Will))
At Daryle's statement of Las Vegas being tempting before the apocalypse, Will chuckled. If the world went to hell, Vegas was just one potential haven. The apocalypse could come, and Vegas would still be functioning.... with or without Will thanks to his influence. "You have no idea, Saxton...dogs, hmm? You and Cerberus, hmmm?" he chided. A randoom "Mrrrr?" sounded in the room echoing from a speaker. Apparently, Cerbs had heard Daryle and Will even though he was bouncing around in Serena's phone.
The Satan Owl chuckled again as he caught the pack of cigarettes and helped himself to one. "If you would, Saxton." He held the cigarette out for Daryle to light for him with his newfound abilities. Will could light the cigarette himself, but he was testing Daryle on something. "You could have taken one of the private planes or traveled first or business." As one of Will's subordinates, Daryle did have access to private planes that Will's organizations had. The Breezy Flame even had access to a few of Will's own private jets. "I guess Ember drank too much and snored too much...or just plain snorted as she always does."
He smirked as Daryle went on about his family. "Sure, sure, Daryle..." Of course Will had seen people he cared for die. His sister Selis. Her husband Auron Stratos. His parents. His elder brother. Noel Anderson. Tatsuya Matsumoto. Gale. The list went on. But Will had long since become the devil, the one without a heart or soul, the one who toyed with everyone else's hearts and minds. Sure losing a toy here and there was disappointing if the toy was entertaining. As Daryle accused him, the Satan Owl didn't care.
The blonde musician smiled and only nodded at Daryle's lame attempts at changing the topic. "I have been busy..." Behind the scenes Will meant. If no one else was doing anything, Will was. It was never simply plotting. There was always some sort of action too, even if people never noticed it. And then the Breezy new Herald actually asked the devil for his input on the family topic after pondering whether Daryle should drop the family man act. Will knew it wasn't completely an act. He knew exactly why it was so hard for Daryle to let go now. Will himself had originally been fortunate that Noel had become the God Owl, but that fell apart rather quickly, and Will moved on to others to toy with that cold stone soulless nonexistent heart of his.
"Advice, lapdog? Let's see... one of the Heralds ditched his love. Another got drunk and never remembered her love again... Hmm... Better get ready to watch those you care for die." The devil smirked. "Unless they somehow become Heralds or Great Four.... or ask me to grant you that desire for them to stay with you as long as you live... " The blonde underworld magnate chuckled. "But it will not happen and I suggest you not ask me for that desire. You'd better get used to it, Daryle. You will watch your descendants live and die and it will be you who chooses whether to interfere or not." He leveled his eyes at Daryle and smiled innocently. "I never committed to one single woman, Saxton, but you can still work with Erin." Daryle could interpret Will's statement how he wanted.
((UNS---Daryle Saxton))
Ignoring the mrring noise courtesy of Cerberus, Daryle pointed his index finger at Will’s cigarette and shot a small burst of flames towards the tip in order to light it. “Too lazy to light it the normal way?” Shaking his head Daryle disregarded Will’s comment about flying first class or using one of the private planes. “I didn’t feel like it. Besides, I could have saved myself the trouble of going through customs and the scanners by flying here myself. It was merely a last minute thing…” The breezy male chuckled at the comment about Ember snoring too much. He actually didn’t know where the Fire Herald was right now. He knew she was somewhere….he could sense her somewhat. “Actually, she has barely drunk a drop since passing her title on to me…I don’t know if that is a good thing or a bad thing.” Some might think the world was going to end if they heard that Ember, the infamous drunk, was actually….SOBER?!
“Hm….I am sure you have been busy. Someone would have to have been busy when the rest are so lax; lost in their own little worlds.” Daryle leaned back into the sofa and took a pull on his cigarette which was slowly burning to the end. He listened as Will began spouting random advice and past Herald examples. He neither interrupted nor gave any sign of how he was taking the Satan Owls words. When Will finished speaking, the apprentice Fire Herald rose to his feet and crossed the room, stopping at the small kitchen area. He turned on the tap and used the cold water to put out his cigarette, which he discarded off in a bin. Leaning on the kitchen worktop the blonde male met Will’s silver eyes with his sea green ones and smirked.
“Well now. I can safely say that while some of the words you just spoke may be helpful, the rest of it was bullshit and I no longer remember you saying those parts.” Daryle was referring to the Heralds ditching and forgetting their past lovers; like that was any of his concern. He could give a f**k about the failures of another. “While the offer of asking you for that one desire is tempting, I would never cross that line. I know what I am likely to face in the future, I know that I will outlive many descendants, and I know that I will need to get used to watching them die. Heh, easier said than done right?” No doubt, the first person he cared about to leave first would be Erin. Daryle actually wondered how the other new Heralds dealt with this. Did they really care? Then again, Daryle had a wife and child…with another child on the way very soon, all the other Heralds had were flimsy relationships that lacked any firm ground.
“Oh?” Daryle smirked slyly when Will mentioned about how he never committed to one woman. Like Daryle didn’t know that already, Will’s lifespan may be outmatched by the number of woman he has had….Maybe… “I can still work with her? You make it seem like I only use her for producing kids and pleasure. Eh, although our home life is rather bland. The time in Japan is the closest thing to a family holiday we have had since before Freya was born.” With a simple shrug of his shoulders the blonde haired male straightened up and ran a hand through his hair. “It is a waiting game. I will do what I can with what I have got….” Laughing darkly he added as a joke "Give me 1000 years and I may end up like you."
((Serena))
The smoke was thick in the air, this was nothing unusual for a casino packed with cigar smoking, whiskey drinking, woman grabbing and money spending idiots. The Vanishing Owl has never enjoyed this setting, ok…maybe once upon a time she had. But that would have been when she was young and scamming people with a clever hand and a few tricks. Now, her outlook had changed greatly since then. Serena was still invisible to the human eye and was merely sitting right at the back as though she was waiting for something the happen. Not that she expected anything save for a possible fight at one of the Roulette tables. “What was the point in me actually coming here? I am doing nothing…besides being bored and alone.”
The white haired woman slowly dropped the invisibility act and leaned back into the hard leather seating. The amount of smoke was doing nothing to clear her head but it was simply nice to be out of the room. Serena glanced up lazily when some random voice reached her attention. Some lowlife who had drunk far too much for his own good had actually strolled over and was now attempting some sort of conversation with her. The Vanishing Owl sighed and stood up as she excused herself from the man’s company. He stunk, the casino stunk, and the combined stench was sickening. Apparently, the man didn’t like the fact Serena was not ‘honoured’ by his presence and grabbed her by the wrist provoking Serena enough to deliver a swift kick to his chest sending him backwards into the seat. Serena leaned over him and pointed a gun roughly under his chin. “Get the message?” She growled with a glint of fury in her eyes...Needless to say the man got the message and let go of her wrist quite quickly while mumbling some sort of apology.
The white haired woman left the casino swiftly after and headed back to her room in a rather blank mood. Back inside the room the silver tray remained untouched. Serena approached it and lifted the cover, still looking as tempting as ever… “….” Slowly, she sat down and removed the lid completely. She wasn’t pissed off that she had once again given into eating the salad prepared as a joke. If anything, she was sad that she was eating a meal alone once again; when there used to be someone facing her there was nothing but silence. Before a piece of chicken could reach her lips, the tray was promptly tossed to the floor. “Perhaps…A shower will suffice…” While Cerbs was still company, he wasn’t the right company. Maybe when she was back in Japan she could invite Xander over…If he wasn’t too busy for her that is.
The stench of stale alcohol and cigar smoke that clung to Serena's clothes was starting to play with her stomach and so she entered the bathroom leaving the mess on the floor and random items of clothing that she had peeled from her person as she crossed the room. She would clean it up later…if she felt like it. Then again, Serena was not one who enjoyed living in filth…She locked the bathroom door, turned on the shower and got in…without any plans for coming out anytime soon.
Lucien looked up slightly from the training ground's floor as he heard a familiar ringing voice in his head. He sighed a little training was something he liked to do without distraction, but oh well e had trained enough for now. He walked over towards the exit, walking out he reached down grabbing his shirt from the floor. Sometime during the last few sessions he got tired of his clothes, shirts in particular getting torn to pieces so he took them off and covered himself in a negation covering, in this case a skin tight sleeveless black top with clung to his body. He started walking again as he replied to her message. 'I'm walking back to my room. If you want to talk then head up there.' He ended the message there he wasn't feeling very articulate at the moment the sluggish fatigue of the days was piling up, with a less than focused Death Owl at the forefront. He stopped in the hall, leaning against the wall for a moment he pulled out his cell phone from his jean's pocket. He looked at it as he went through a few of the pictures stored on it, a few of Amara and a few of Aiden, only two of them all three together, these had been taken over the time that they had been in Las Vegas, the old Lucien would have never allowed for such royalties these were memories of emotion and sympathy, but this new Lucien even he could not hide he smiled and shook his head.
"They're beautiful." He whispered softly as he put the phone away and started walking again. He and Amara hadn't been very talkative recently but those few fleeting moment where they could be a family were nice, Lucien felt a strong fatherly bond to Aiden, though tiny as he was he couldn't help but wonder who was taking care of him, probably Aeon, he appreciated that she was willing to do this but at the same time he didn't want anyone else other then the two of them to raise Aiden, plan or not Aiden was his child not someone else's.
The soles of Roulin's leather Rockports were tapping out a steady and hasty rhythm against the floor of the office. He wasn't getting any younger and neither was Erin. Due to technicalities, this was very untrue for both of them, but said technicalities aren't needed at this moment. The young man's dark purple hues lulled around in their sockets as the telepath gave him a breakdown of why she wouldn't let him take her powers and the means by which she'd prevent him from doing so. He'd heard the same explanation from many people as of lately, and it was the same small speech that only made him want to kill them quicker to shut them up or slower to show that he could bypass their defensive measures. Erin was a teammate though, a fellow Night Owl who was taken under Noel's wing before she had to go and die. He wouldn't be harming her, but his foot only tapped faster thanks to her. He wanted to test her just to see her abilities at work.
"Yeah. I don't want your blood whatever. That'd make my life too easy." The Owl of Grey shook away a few loose strands of his long, jet black hair looked down at the floor. The floor didn't give him his reflection, but he already knew that his features were scrunched impatiently and eagerly. An entire set of powers would become clear to him once this was done. To him, it was like Christmas. Rather than wait until next Saturday for it, he'd revel in the fact that one of his gifts would be arriving early. When the woman went on to diffrentiate him and Lucien, Roulin's impatience seemed to fade. Replacing it was a somewhat smug smirk. Turning an eye up to the girl, he replied, "You're right. I won't turn out like Lucien. Too much brains and not enough spirit...that idiot. Heh, some people won't learn I guess. And by the way Erin, thanks for drawing out the map to Exire. I've learned it in and out..."
"And yeah, I know that. Telepathy isn't....what I thought it was. It is....but it isn't," admitted Roulin as he sat back into the rather hard red chair. At this juncture, he wasn't as bored, but still he was impatient about the matter. When Erin suggested a more physical means to speed this process up for the Life Owl, the male's brow cocked inquisitively. "Physical methods hm?" he asked. "It's up to you Erin. I've always considered myself a more hands on kind of guy anyway..."
The young Herald simply groaned when Aeon tugged him along to these destinations. Moli wasn't used to limousines, dressing all dapper and presentable, so the experience was fresh to him. He wasn't a fan of change even if that change would only be for a few hours. He tugged at his collar while in the car. The stuffy feeling was already around him and it was stifling. Only him knowing he looked good in his outfit and having Aeon by his side brought this moment to a level only a notch above 'bearable'.
After the limo pulled up to the restaurant, Moli decided to undo the upper button that held his collar together. The upper most part of his chest was exposed, but he doubted that would stir anything with these guys. More or less, it was just for Aeon. Looking down at her, he sighed not taking notice of her parents yet. When he went to speak, her father was already filling the air with greetings, conversation and crude mispronunciations of his otherwise easily spoken name. Forcing a smile, Moli shook the Colonel's hand firmly forced a smile for the man and the occasion. "Well sir, it's actually Lomoli. Lomoli Presidiomni, but no, you're....you're pronouncing what I usually go by right."
There were tables, seats, drinks and Wasps (White Anglo-Saxon Protestants) everywhere. Thanks to Che, Moli was never conditioned to be around people of status, but still, he knew he was the most classiest of the Presidiomni trio. This would be a breeze until Owls were---The Herald's train of thought was derailed by Mr. Chambers question. "Umm...well you see sir..." Aeon, before Moli could give the truth of the matter, saved him from divulging it. Already, the blonde could tell that if this night was going to go well, Aeon would constantly have to be on the defensive for him. If not, things would surely get ugly.
