Duriono carefully walked into the cave, June still haulled over his back. "Watch our backs, would ya?" He requested, just for the sake of being the captain obvious of the moment. Kagura had slowwed down her pursuit, looking around to find the little elf. Eventually she fell back on her rear, her cheeks puffed out and her arm crossed. "Phooie! I lost him!"

Oddly, in the dark, clausterphobic space, the Drow felt at home. Thier ancestors came from underground, evolution had it engrained in thier minds, 'this is home, where you came from, you're safe here.' Although, they knew it wasn't safe, it wasn't home.
They continued to follow the echos, wich eventually became distinct voices. A glow appeared around the next corner, a well-lit room. Aleta saw a shillouete against the light, a figure walking into the room.
((I'm thinking of a way to play as NPC characters... I never tried that before.))

((=3= I tend to be vague when the concept of an NCP possibly coming into the story arises. so I don't use much speech when it comes to them.))
Duriono tugged Kagura to her feet, faith's resound up against the side of his head, creeping along the wall. Pressing his back upagainst it like he had done on so many missions. He peered around the corner, pointing his gun at the shadow. Kagura had her arms crossed, standing behind Duri, kicking the dirt.

Aleta crept closer to the room, a small cavern more like it. Well-lit, it even had electricity, a TV was on, a fat guy with a white beard sat in front of it. Santa. Rafeal grinned and whispered, "Heh... and Zethriel told me he wasn't real." Aleta nudged him with her elbow. "Shhh..." They spotted the elf they had seen, going into a smaller opening. Aleta could hear his voice,
"Dark Elves! Doesn't that usually mean trouble? They had demons with them and everything!" He sounded startled. Aleta thought, So... those are the kind that gave elves a rather pathetic name in popular culture? Toy-makers...
A cold, raspy yet powerful voice spoke, "Don't worry about it. I've been expecting people like them for a while. We thought it was 'He' who was coming to take the box of our hands, but we were wrong. At least he brought news from the outside..." it clearly belonged to Jack.
A flash of contempt when through her mind, This war... its all his fault, engineered for his entertainment! She felt it turn to rage, Aleta walked briskly into the room, Santa glanced at her, and went back to his program.
((Yeah... I'm going to replace Jack in the manga, along with other Gaia characters. -o- Gaia just supplied a nice setting and pre-developed characters, making RP easier.))

Duriono raised an eyebrow, holstering his revolver and replacing it with Death's penalty. Kagura ran out infront of him, screaming with glee. "Santa! Santa! I have my christmas list!" She waved it around, dashing towards the fat man. "I kinda thought santa was black.." Duri grumbled, hands in his pockets.
((Yush.. =3= my familly told me that santa was black.))

((Darn my typos! I wrote white twice! xD *fails* I've seen a black version of Santa somewhere... Uh... I don't really know what to write for Santa right now. >.> I was kinda hoping he wouldn't be to important, and be ignored... The easter bunny was supposed to be hiding with them, but since he is rarely mentioned in the plot, I forgot about him!))
Aleta wasn't distracted. Santa was pretty unfamiliar, and not a part of her culture.
"I've been knowing about this group for a while, I was expecting them. Didn't you know? You elves were supposed to inform us." Jack ansered.
The elf nodded, "Yeah, but I didn't know all the details! That wasn't my job-" He cut himself off, his eyes darted to the hallway, and he saw Aleta coming straight toward him with a deadly look in her eye, "Oh shi-" He ran off and hid somewhere in the room.
She adressed the spirit of Halloween, "Hello Jack."
((In the manga, this figure is going to be a bit more... mystical or something. Santa would be nonexistant. Also, I'm trying to design 2 demigods to replace Senteniel and Overseer.))

((=3= In the manga, replace Duriono's alchemy with uhh.. Matter manipulation or some @#$#, he doesn't use it much anyway.))
Kagura slowwed down when she heard the second voice, stopping in her tracks as she watched Aleta continue walking towards the holiday mascots. "Hmm? Who is pumpkin head?" She tilted her head innocently.

((Yep, I'm going to tweak a few things. Like Jack's character will be more important, maybe as a bit of a villan, and I'm thinking of changing Rafeal's name, his last name at least. I took it from a book I was reading at the time I created him. It just doesn't sound elven enough. It doesn't sound good with Aleta's name either, if we ever take this into the future...)) Jack was sitting in a tall armchair near a blazeing fire. It made him look scarier than usual. The flames reflected off his red eyes hidden in the shadows of his pumpkin head. "Aleta Rose, I presume?"
She nodded slowly, contempt showed in her face.
"I've been waiting for you..." He stood up.
"This... this whole war has been your fault!" She spat.
He smirked, "Yes... I suppose it was, but"
"Did you take the box from my family?" It was something she had been pondering, saving it for this moment.
Jack sighed, "No, I simply... found it. Thats all."
Aleta was still angry, "Do you have any idea of how many people died so you could have... fun?! You unleashed the demigods, and so much more! Demons have overtaken most of my home country," She was briefly interrupted by a thought, Although... part of it was Duriono's fault. But it was the Senteniel who organised them into an army. If she hadn't been unleashed, they would've just been up to thier usual tricks, interfereing with mortals. "and the cluts and armies are still fighing eachother even though they no longer have the gods as thier generals!"
"Trust me, it would be worse if they were still gods. You're lucky I did anything at all." He smiled again.
Aleta made a sound of frustration, "Just give me the box Jackass."
He laughed, "You're not the first person to call me that, and you should feel lucky I held onto it, and I didn't empty it, that would just utterly destroy the world. Thats not very fun to watch at all. Here... knock yourself out."
A small white and black box flew in her direction, she caught it easily.
She stared at it for a moment, So this is it... the source of all of my miserry... why my family is dead, bound to this world through this object, doomed to protect it to the end of time... I finally have it in my possesion. Its just a matter of destroying it.
"So what do I do with it?" She held it away from her with her fingertips. The foulness and evil.... she could feel it churning inside.
"How would I know, you're the Lightbringer, do your thing or whatever." He shrugged.
Aleta couldn't stand this guy any longer, but she decided to mumble "Thank you..." before walking out. She saw the rest of the group hanging around Santa, "I got it..." Aleta held Senteniel's box out for all to see.

Earlier that day:
It was still dark, but morning was coming. Zethriel woke up from a slumber.
"What time is it?" He was slightly paniced, thinking he missed his window for an attack. It was still dark, but morning was little more than an hour away.
Ketress slinked out from behind a rock. "Early in the morning, master."
"Damn it!" He sprang to his feet, "I have no time, my powers will be weakened as soon as the sun rises!" His shoulders went limp, looseingn determination.
"You know.... there is a way to become stronger...." The demon grinned slyly.

"Alright, now bust the thing and let's go home." Duri suggested, crossing his arms. Kagura was hopping up and down on Santa's lap, screaming about the several things she wanted for saving the world. "An exploding pony, A b*****d sword! A pair of fake vampire fangs! My mommy's special cake! And a mutant bunny rabbit!" She finished, Santa was placed in a daze, simply patting Kagura on the head before she hopped off.

"Alright then... advert your eyes." She wasn't sure if this was giong to work.
Aleta concentrated on the box, she drew the light in the room toward her, collecting it. Rafeal closed his eyes when he figured out what she was doing. A few elves standing around put on sunglasses.
With a dramatic anime-style "YAAAAAAAH!" A burst of light filled the room, its source was Aleta's hands. When it faded, and everyone recovered from the flash, Senteniel's Box sat in her palm, totally unharmed. "Well, that was anti-climactic...." Rafeal retorted.
She made a gutteral sound of frustration, and Aleta threw it against the wall. No damage was done, it was almost as if it was mocking her. Jack appeared in the doorway, "Actually, I do know what do with it~." He grinned his jack-o-lantern grin.
Aleta glared at him, "What? Why didn't you tell me?"
"Its just fun to watch people do foolish things. Thats all." He walked closer to the group. "There is another cave on the other side of the valley. Go deep inside, there you will find a pit. A Hell Mouth, to be exact."
Aleta's dream suddenly made sense. "Thats where I'm supposed to destroy it?"
"Exactly."
Aleta was mad at him agian, "The why didn't you do it yourself! That would've saved us so much trouble!"
"Because, those places are extremely dangerous! Why would I risk my life when a group of heros will come and do it for me?"
Aleta glared at him, her eyes held a silent threat.
Jack took a step back, "I'm sorry, what I meant was... only the Lightbringer can access that place, and the people with them. And besides, if I could, you would never learn anything, your life would feel empty, you would never have your revenge and ever be able to be restful and satisfied."
In a wierd way, Jack was wise. How did he know so much about Aleta? He had his sources, the messengers, the elves.
She thought for a moment, "Okay guys... lets go. The last stage of the journey is at hand I guess." Without another word to Jack, she turned and left with Rafeal close behind her.
((Also, I'm thinking of a better name for Aleta's title. Light One works. *thinks about it some more* I need something that sounds better.))

"How?" Zethriel eyed him suspiciously.
"You know how I said I exist within your mind?" He crept up onto his shoulder. "There is a way for me to live in this world."
Zethriel didn't comprehend what he was saying, or did he really care about the affairs of demons and thier existance and whatnot. "Yeah... so?"
"So, what I am proposeing will make you stronger." He was patient, waiting for him to say something important.
"What are you proposeing, exactly?" He smiled, his eyes took on an insane, greedy look.

The others followed, June over Duri's shoulder and Kagura being tugged off by the hand. "Santa! Santa!" She called out, waving back at them. "Great.. Now we have to go even further.. and we don't even have a car.." Duriono began to grumble, shoving Kagura out in front of him. "Hey!" "Hey!" The twins shouted, flying just above Mary's head. Who was calming down now that she had elimnated that wave. More would probably come.. Mary knew this and wanted to get the others out of the area. "Bug off pests!" She shouted, walking past them. "Daddy says you have to play with us!" Crea yelpped, Landing infront of her. Prea landed behind her, their color schemes swapped. So that Crea was red, and Prea was blue. "I'm not in the mood for games.." She spat, her arms crossed.

Aleta walked ahead of everyone else, and let the remains of her anger ebb. "Yeah, its not that far. An hour or so of walking..." They were within the winding cavern again, it seemed darker going back than they did going in. When they reached the mouth of the cave, Aleta could see thier destination. It was a big, perfectly round hole in the mountain, almost as if it was made by a machine. Zethriel is going to catch up... I will not let him get away from me this time, and he won't give up until one of us is dead...

((=_= I'm kinda annoyed today.. Why must that guy follow me everywhere...)) Duriono stretched out his back, setting June down for a second. "Alright, final stretch guys, lets finish this and just be done with it~" He began to jog ahead.
