"Cool.." Duri grinned another fanged grin as gallons of blood splattered onto his person.
"Gross!" Kagura screammed, wipping the green blood off of herself before it stainned her clothing. After the shock had passed, she calmed walked over to the carcass and bit into it.
"...Didn't you just say it was gross?" Duriono recalled, giving a disturbed look at the demoness.
"Fear makes me hungry Master!"
"Just hurry up~"

"Uh... I'm hungry to... not that much..." Rafeal walked past Kagura, and re-joined Aleta. "Hey." He smiled.
"Hey. Heh... green blood. Isin't that awesome?" Aleta grinned. "Its been a while since I've killed mosters... its a nice change from killing people." Rafeal nodded. "I agree...." She took his hand, and they ventured further. There was a corridoor at the other end, they took that path. "Come on, no time to eat corpses!"

((=_= If I wasn't so lazy, I would've typed up another one of those extra long posts to boost the tension a little, but alas.. I was lazy.))
Duriono whisked Kagura away by the collar as she nibbled on a leg.
"You don't have to eat everything that we kill.." He sighed.
Kagura dropped the limb and stumbled to her feet, jogging after the others on her on, she began to cling to Aleta pleasantly.
"Big sister! I knew you'd save me!" She swooned, wiggling slightly.
Duriono shrugged, now walking at the back of the group.
"Bring on the challenges.."

"Yeah... you're welcome... now let go." Aleta didn't like hugs that much, and she didn't feel like being hugged. They ventured further until the entrance of the cave was out of view.

Kagura clung on, until the entrance of the cave was out of sight, then she dashed back over to Duriono and leapped onto his shoulders.
"Alright.. So uh.. exactly how far down do we need to go?" Duri asked, an eyebrow raised.

"I have no idea...." Aleta closed her eyes, she touched the walls for some reason. It just felt... right. Images flooded her mind, sensations, direction. "A mile or so, perhaps?"
Rafeal's brow furrowed, "Wait, you say you have no idea... then you have an idea." The thoughtful scowl turned into a grin.
"Yeah... I don't know how I know that... it just feels like... maybe I've been here before? Or maybe help from my brother?" She shrugged, and didn't question it further. But still... this place feels familiar... "So Duri, is there anything I need to know about these places? You're the Gatekeeper."

He gave a gentle shrug, and shared what information he had about places some people reffered to as the 'pathwayss to hell' such as these.
"Well, they usually look cave like at first, but the further you go the more uhh.. how should I put it... spiritual their designs are." He explainned, looking at the walls. "In most pathways, there will be several platforms who's stems reach down into a cloud of souls, which are the ones of those who fell off of their path when travelling through the gate, mostly demonic spirits. Fiends roam the pathways unable to exit the world inbetween worlds due to the presence of the gatekeeper. So they attack travellers who try to get to the other side, many get past, many die themselves. Uhh lets see what else... well, you'll see when we get there."

"Interesting..." Aleta nodded, and watched the shadows. There was this wierd, un-canny feeling that they were being watched themselves...no. Followed. Then, a distraction. The hairs on the back of her neck stood up. She heard something like a whispered, a shuffleing sound up ahead... breathing. "Did you hear that?"

They stood their ground as Zephyr took two steps towards them, a demonic sneer across his lips.
"Maggots, every last one of you." He commented, as the other mercenaries rushed out of the supermarket, weapons at the ready.
"Any questions before I wipe away every last one of you?" He leaned forward slightly, his glare met Mary's.
"What's your problem!? Why the hell did you start all of this!?" Key came running forward, angered. Infuenced by the will of the others allowed him to stand up and actually ask this question.
Zephyr's head suddenly shot towards the child, who flinched lightly, expecting an attack. Instead, Zephyr placed his hands behind him.
"I'll tell you what~ I'll tell you as I gut every last blood cell from your lifeless husks!" He began to cackle psychoticly. "Or should I say remove the venom from the snakes!" He laughed wildly, head to the sky, then quickly dropped it as he whipped out a blade, slashing at Key. Who fell on his a**, cowering.
"I came from a town on the verge of poverty, in the far north." He began, making a swipe at Key's head which Brig defended him from, retailiating with a fierce punch. Zephyr slid out of the way and dug his knee into his side, before leapping back and launching a barrage of light arrows at him from his palm. Brig withstood the attack, but was placed on his last leg, panting heavilly.
"Demons like you, terrorized the town once a week! Sucking the very life out of my fellow man! The bastards, they had their land, why couldn't they just leave this world alone!?" He dug in, slashing across Brig's chest before Anna slid in, swinging at his head with her halberd, He grabbed the staff and tugged it out of her hand before punching her in the face, sending her skidding along the ground.
"The angels said they would protect us! Yes they did! Divine gods and goddesses were on their side! They said they would come and wipe the filth clean from the area!" He cackled once again, planting his foot on her neck and pressed down on it, suffocating the girl. Surina came over and swung at him with her metallic hammer, which was easilly deflected and countered with a stab to her shoulder. Clutching the wound she fell back, then lunged at Bishop. He rolled out of the way of the slash, "The gods never arrived! And their horrid fighting extinguished every single trace of life around! Trees, rivers, people all of them wiped from existance! It doesn't matter where they had come from, they are all one of the same! Tainting the human soul, turning everything they come in contact with into a demon! Benevolent gods keeping us safe? Rubbish! They are the root of the problem! People look up to them waiting to be saved!" He spread his arms wide, wings sprouting from his back shooting the mercenaries across the area.
"You are the poison! I am the antidote! You are the snake, I am the hunter! You are the darkness.. And I am the messiah!" He cackled wildly, pillars of spirts shoot up out of the ground, tearing the concrete from it's place, sending it all about. Duriono raised an eyebrow, stopping in his tracks. "Hear...what?" He looked around, now that he was focusing, he could actually hear something now. He whipped out his twin katana, and Kagura pulled out her curved blades, looking around.

"That..." A sort of a whoosh noise, running feet. Then a "Duh-dur!" It sounded kind of wierd, like a young teenage boy's voice cracking, it was all high-pitched and maybe a little goatish. And annoying.
Then she saw them: wierd little satyr-like things, only smaller, and meaner... demonic-looking. Aleta laughed when she saw them. There were about 3 at first, she took them out easily, one swing each, severing thier heads. Thier little pitchforks or spears were no match for her superior weaponry. Rafeal joined in the monster slaughter, "Heh... kinda like whack-a-mole, more pop up just when you hit them."
"More... pop up?" She sheathed her sword as soon as the bodies disintegrated.
"Yeah, back there... oh crap."
A mass of little impish creatures advanced, about 50 of them, all going "Dhur-duh-di! Li-duh!" Thier call, or words or whatever all overlaped into an annoying wall of sound, the elves had never seen anything like it. "Swarm behavior..." Aleta muttered.
((These things are not original. I stole them from The Legend of Zelda. AND I HATE THEM!! They're so annoying, and just when you think you killed them all and you let your guard down, more show up to finish you off.))

A vein showwed up on Duriono's head, he drew his broadsword slowly. Irritated by the repetetive cries.
"I always hated those things... they picked on me in pre-school.." He frownned,
"Master, they don't have schools in the demonic plain.." Kagura chipped in, pulling out her twin scythes.
"How would you know!" Duriono roared, tearing through the crowd, filled with rage and well.. rage.

June simply crouched down, her legs spread apart and her axe plade down onto the ground between them. She watched the group, quite amused.

((I hate them... but I love killing them! Like if you have a crowd around you, you spin, whackwhackwhack! *poof* xD))
"Come on, midgets!" Aleta charged into the enemy, as usual. She didn't really have a plan, except chop thier heads off. As usual. She hacked and slashed, hewing off limbs, stabbing, watched them disintegrate into smoke.
Rafeal saw they were overcoming her, one bit her on the calf, "Augh! Stupid goat!" It giggled with demonic glee, a wierd "Hykhykhyk!" Aleta stabbed it in the chest while another shoved a spear at her back.
Luckily she was wearing chainmail under her clothes. Enraged, she turned around and killed it. A tug on her wrist, one of those little monsteres and his friends were trying to pull her down, and succeding. "Hey, don't just stand there! Help!"
Shots were his answer. Bang, bang! Perfectly aimed bullets took them down, Rafeal decided to join the fray. The remaing group around Aleta ran off with a goaty "Blaaaah!"
Another wave was coming down the corridoor, "Aw, come on!"

Duriono adjusted his shoulder, turning around to face the oncoming crowd, he flipped out his scythe. Deploying the two extra heads and held it firmly with both hands.
((I perfer to just smash them with the skull hammer razz It's fun to flatten them! Windwaker's so cartoonish!))
"Use a long ranged weapon, make large slashes with them and when you see even a single one get behind you, spin quickly." He suggested, using his adepting skill to find a solution. He stamped his broadsword into the ground, incase anyone wanted to use it, he then dashed forward with Kagura close behind with her twin scythes, swinging wide and hard, the short pitchforks couldn't get close enough to deal damage.

((Ah, yes! I forgot about that weapon... I got it late in the game, and I never use it. I love that game... I want to play it agian once my boyfriend returns it. I beat it once without dying, on the second playthrough of course.))
"Yeah, I'll try it." Aleta bent her knees, getting low to the ground. The group closed in on her, Idiots! and she spun around with her weapon, Link-style. They toppled backwards and poofed. "Ha! Thats fun!" Aleta continued to run forward, toward the next wave. Rafeal shot, Aleta slashed and stabbed.
