Sometimes when I wake up early in the morning, finding myself held down by two kittens because I lack the body mass and energy (combined) required to move them, I really regret waking up.

So, sorry I'm irritable a lot.

Considering what pins other people down two kittens is shockingly beneficial...

sounds cool, trowa. but i'm not really that into jazz. it's odd because my entire city is so big about it, but i'm not that into it. everyone else likes it, but.....

lol, my entire post in PS is just me going to the bathroom. i find that funny.
LOL. Don't worry. You're not alone. I took a whole post describing the bathroom in my dorm a couple pages ago. It was like... 2 or 3 paragraphs... moderate sized paragraphs...

What roleplay is that, Captain?

It would be Waya's guild. Spirits and Demons. I liked the idea of them being in their own element- not on earth. The idea grabbed me enough to make a char, and that was that. I am second in command of the demon half, and head of the 'peacekeeping' force there. As the one in charge of the demon half is almost always gone, I have stepped up and made several plotlines. Subplots have been made involving my history, and secrets pile on secrets . . . but Waya has had a lot of trouble balancing her new job and RP, and the guild has dismal activity so it feels fairly dead despite the work I have been putting into it.

HephaestusOS
oh....now that i see what you meant.....hm....it sounds good. i mean, i like the idea. i don't quite understand all the possibilities your power would bring, though.

Well, I thought about it and came up with the idea of not only reading books, but learning all the intimate details of an object. It is immeasurably harder to learn about a living organism- requiring sustained contact. A simpler object like a wall, would take less time to learn more.

Take a car- touching it begins the process, and after a few minutes, Sage would know how many layers of paint are on it, how much gas is in the tank, how bad the engine wear is, where the weak points are, even how many juice stains are on the back seat from careless passengers.

Now imagine that being done in a R&D lab. The costs saved in testing would amount to millions. Imagine that in a hospital. Takes longer, but like House, Sage would be able to know what is wrong within an hour without costly tests. Imagine that in a military situation. Knowing where to hit an opponent's vehicle . . . .

Like Cyclops from the fabled X-Men, his body would not have any major boons, just that ability. Instead of blasts of energy, this guy specializes in information. After all, knowledge is power.

I don't know, Talon; it sounds a bit...overpowered. What are its limitations?

Really really big living things?
To be honest I'm surprised no one made a character who nulls other people powers.

That wouldn't happen... DTT wouldn't allow...

...I wouldn't allow it.
>.>

There is nothing I hate more than Godmoding. I have one of our members already on my list for multiple accounts of Godmoding. And they were huge! "He" basically voided all my attacks and claimed automatic hits. And this was especially irritating because it was a magic fight and I was the mage...Thus having more powerful magic... Explain that?
Then, in a sperate thread I was in, he was doing it to another character.

I PMed him, showing quotes of his own, to show him what he was doing and why it was wrong. >.> I basically typed a whole godmoding lesson. lol.

I told him I'd report him to that captian if it continued on.
Three strikes... and I'm am done playing with him.

Limitations: time primarily. It is not an instantanious thing. A textbook would take an hour. A car several at the very least for a compact car. A typical human would take about eight hours for a full scan. In anything other than a combat situation for a full scan would take an uncomfortable amount of time. In combat, it is a lifetime.

If I gave Sage a photographic memory- that would be godmodding.

I attacked a freckin' tree-dragon and ate a giant cup-cake. :'?

The only cliche we've missed has been a water emulator or a fish person. Than the entire factory of cliche would be covered for.

Fancy that. I'm totally making a character that is fish-like/possibly controls water.

Must... fill in... cliche gap...

She's actually based off a character from a school rp from a long time ago that I had fun in.

I would have resurrected one of my Galvan characters, but her Density control is far too close to the local gravity manipulation.
