I HAVE THE BEST BEAU EVER.
Late Black Friday/early Cyber Monday deals at Micro Center = best early Christmas and birthday presents EVER.
(Although I really don't wanna know what he spent on this stuff.)
But oh man, I thought our PC was a beast before, but NOW, ahhhh.
We've upgraded to a newer gen Nvidia GPU! Goodbye nine hundred series, hello GTX 1080!
And on top of that, we've moved up from our old 6-core AMD CPU to a spiffy new 8-core (not that I really put much money in more than four cores, most systems aren't built to take advantage of all of them), an AMD FX 8370.
(If I remember right, our previous one was part of the FX 6000 series, so I think we bumped up two gens from our previous to this one, I usually lag behind a gen or so on CPUs because I don't feel like it's necessary for me to shell out a boatload of money for more processing power than I'll use.)
TL;DR version, PC HARDWARE UPGRADE, YAY!

And our GPU changes colors, fancy~
(Not that that matters if you don't have a case with a clear side panel, and I DON'T have one of those cases, they tend to be terribly expensive, and only rarely come in full tower size, and considering I ALWAYS buy full size hardware, I worry that anything smaller won't actually be able to house my build.)
I won't have to worry about our specs when FFXIV's next expansion releases, that's for sure. ;p

So I always talk about how I play percussion. So today, I finally recorded a short video of me playing on the drum set!! biggrin I was practicing after school, and it was the perfect moment! me on the drum set

FFXV CAME OUT TODAY.
*practically vibrates from excitement*
My beau picked it up from the midnight release last night.
Oh man, is it ever beautiful.
The models are STUNNING, the scenery is absolutely gorgeous, it's just amazing.
The battle mechanics are interesting, I'm still getting used to them, but it's fun.
I stayed up wayyyyy too long playing it last night.
And I should never be given mini games so early on in a game.
I wasted far more time than I should have on the goofy pinball-esque game inside the game.
And then even more time on fishing.
Main story will never get done. >>;

But if they take too long to move, I consider it their own fault. >>;
I was talented enough to catch all three of them and myself in one spell recently.
My reaction every time is pretty much just "Shake it off, you'll be fine, you'll only be frozen or on fire for a little while, it's only a flesh wound!"
It does go both ways, though, I gave one of my guys a special weapon that spewed poison, and he kept catching me in the attack. Needless to say, he wasn't allowed to use that weapon for very long.
(p.s. if you've texted me and I've not replied, I'm not ignoring you, I think my phone is disconnected...)

Sounds like there's a lot that goes on in that game, and he who doesn't strategize pays the consequences. Also, that's interesting about the guy you gave the special poison to. ((It's fine! Thank you for telling me. The only thing I texted was that I liked the pokemon Chandelure))
