Are you going to be an experiment or a scientist?
If experiment, what animal are you looking into?

My first kitty was a Russian Blue! Her name was Josie (cause I was infatuated with Rachel Leigh Cook.) ;3
I would have to be a scientist, one with a timid personality. x3 Shy and scared of the experiments, full of paranoia.

Um, hi. Has anyone got any tips on story writing? I suck so bad at it crying I'm trying to write a dark sci-fi story about a traumatised woman in a xenophobic and violent galaxy. I wanted to include dark, distressing scenes of her past and insights into her lack of emotion and her fight to find some meaning in her life, and combine it with action scenes that take place as she tries to fight off the enemies of humanity. I think I've got a good concept but I think I am really bad at expressing it, has anyone got any advice?

Eh...? Nobody has to have a schedule, but maybe I should start requiring it since so many have sent them in >3> Ja, if you'd like. I wonder if anyone'd get my nickname, if I get accepted into the DNA RP...

Illin: well.....i'd love to give you advice, but i don't know what you have. if you'd let me read it...... blaugh it sounds like a good idea, but i've often found it difficult to write a dark story. maybe it's just my sunny disposition, but maybe not. other people have also expressed that dark is a difficult feeling to portray. advice i have is to not make it too dark. sure you may want to have a sinister story going on, but you can't just be all in the reader's face about it. if so, they'll just get bored of the darkness and pick up twilight or something. *shiver* in my past experience, the best dark books were ones with a generally sinister/evil/corrupt storyline, but not everything about it was bad. most often, they had whatever storyline they wanted and merely transposed it into a dark setting. take any scene you want and put it in the rain and you've got a tinge of depression going on. make it at night and it's either romantic or criminal. this is just me, but i also love gore. no, not the global warming activist. i love blood and guts in the books i read. but i don't like to see the murder. i just like to see that someone's been murdered. yeeeeeeeeeah....... but it sounds good from what you've said. i'd love to read it!

I think it's kind of humorous that three students in PS are in the same calculus class, and that it's probably all just coincidence.

*blushes* Well, the thing was I wanted the main character to have no ability to feel hope anymore because of her past. And her surroundings are meant to justify this feeling. *blushes more* However, I wanted there to be a secondary character, an inhuman one that seeks to help her recover the parts of herself she has lost, and it would eventually develop into a romance of sorts. Anyway, this is the site I posted the first chapter on. I don't think it's very good though

Hm... do we want people to focus on schedules, or just have them -there-? We do have an extra space we can put just class schedules in.

I laughed quite maniacally as I wrote that post for PS. ;3 I am so weird sometimes, but I like it. I almost thought about putting a reference to Maroon in there, embedded in the post.
