Hello, I am Misericordia Mezzo, as you may have guessed. I'm a sophomore in college, where I sing for extracurriculars, but we don't have much of a music program, so I'm not majoring. >.> I'm a mezzo soprano, known to sing all the women's parts in the same song, and I'm also a pianist, albeit rather sloppy. It's the emotion that counts, not the amount of splats. T.T I've been taking voice lessons for seven years, and piano for six.

I am a lover of all sorts of music and I love even more to play music! I started out with piano and learned to the point where I can teach myself to play many hard and quite difficult pieces. I quit piano lessons to take on the violin. I have been playing for almost three years now and I am first chair of the second violins in my schools top orchestra! I am also in a youth symphony that is quite good! I own two guitars and I love teaching my self to play them! I also played in the school band for one year playing the baritone horn! I love all sorts of music (except for rap!) and I would love to talk with other people about it! biggrin

I play the piano, violin, cello and a few more other instruments. I also sing a little. I am a lover of any type of music except heavy metal which I am scared of. If u like that type of music plz don't take offense by me. I am so sorry if I did.

im a vocalist i love to sing, my name is bianca and i go to waldo middle school. I LOVE yiruma i listen to them whenever i read or draw, i would show some of my art but i dont have a photo buket accout sweatdrop well im a 6th grader so dont get confused with the fake birthday

ｔｈｅ ｍｏｓｔ ｂｅａｕｔｉｆｕｌ ｒａｉｎｂｏｗ... ☁ ╔══════════════════════╗☁ Hello everybody. emotion_bigheart I am Amulet_SpadeXx (has no relation whatsoever to shugo chara, my family friend suggested the name, i loved it...but i never knew that she was a shugo chara fan. Personally, I love KHR, Prince of Tennis, - don't laugh at this, it was my first manga - Vampire knight, and Rozen Maiden.).
Anyway, that was off topic, I am a pianist and trumpeter. Have been a pianist for 10 years as of 2011 and a trumpeter since grade 2 (that would be...8 years? since 2005?). I am in my high school orchestra as a trumpeter (haha, the story of my application for the orchestra is a funny one, if you want to know, you can ask me to make a thread, but until then, the story is a secret. wink ).
I know i'm going to enjoy my time here in this guild. Oh, I forgot to mention I really want to watch La corda d'oro and Nodame Cantabile as well!! (they r classical music animes for those who don't know them. Google them!!)

My name is Choco, I'm 19 and I love to play classical instruments and music.
Well I play the violin since I was in fourth grade, though since I graduated which was last may I stopped for a bit because of work and the like, but I want to continue as soon as I get into school this January.
Well for classical music I love to play it because it relaxes me and helps my finger loosen up plus the amount of woozies music notes is just wonderful.

`Kel` Let everyone know a little about you. A you a musician, vocalist, soloist, or just a classical fanatic. What do you play? What group are you apart of? Like an orchestra, band, choir, soloist or any other group. +++++++++++ MY UPDATE JUNE 2010 +++++++++++++ I've been playing oboe for 6 years. Im a music ed major transfering over to The FSU College of Music in the fall 2010. Its the 3rd largest music school in the country with 1200 music students and over 500 performances a year.. im extremely excited. I've played in the Panama City POPS orchestra for 5 years, but i've had to leave because i'll be away at school in the fall. I was started on flute at age 11 but fell in love with the oboe soon enough. My favorite periods of classical music are Baroque followed by Romantic (Maybe a little early 20th cent) . I love Bach and Vivaldi, and I also adore Dvorak, Saint-Saens, Prokofiev, Rimsky-Korsakov, (love the Russian composers)... ect ect.. I love it all...
I am a Music Ed. major at Brooklyn College in NYC; my concentrations are Violin and Viola and I also spent a few years learning Piano (Jazz, specifically) and Guitar. Currently I'm a freelance musician/independent contractor; I work at a JHS teaching History and appreciation of Music and teach privately for three different music schools.
My favorite era in music is definitely the Romantic era...and second to that is the Baroque. Tchaikovsky is my favorite composer, so much that I have his first Violin concerto tattooed down the left side of my body whee (I also adopted his name, TCHAI as a writers/composers name haha).
I have played in probably 4 or 5 different Orchestra's throughout my musical education; three of which were youth and the others were College/Community based. My friends and I have a quartet going, randomly and we play gigs around the city. Street performing is also a must!

Hello, I'm Prometheia. I've been playing piano now for about, 5-6 years. I played saxophone at one point in my school band back in middle school, but had to quit because I started homeschooling. I'm back in public school, where I play Double Tenor pans for the in-school Steel Band. I also play a little bit of guitar.
I do a little vocal work for the school choir, and outside of that I sing a fusion of soul, blues, gospel and R&B.
I've been composing sonatas and concertos for about a year, none of which I have ever completely finished stare
My favorite period of music would be, well, the Classical Era, and the Romantic Era as well. I like Renaissance era music, as well as Late Baroque era oratorios. I also quite enjoy the music produced through the trailer music industry today, my favorite composer having to be either Thomas Bergersen, or Ivan Torrent. Favorite all time composer/musician would be Mozart, and I tend to take a lot of inspiration from either him or Chopin when writing music.
Outside of that, I take inspiration from singers like Billy Holiday, Adele, Aretha Franklin, and African American spirituals and gospel music (my favorite piece being "Hush Hush, Somebody's Callin My Name").

Yay, hello!
I'm Kea. I am "new" to Gaia in the sense that I used to be very active several years ago (I'm still working on getting my original account reactivated) and have been gone for quite some time, so this is pretty new to me!
Some things about me: I'm 23 years old, and my primary instrument is voice - I am a light lyric/light coloratura soprano. I also compose; I am in the middle of a BM in music composition, although I'm taking a brief hiatus from school for life reasons. My composition efforts focus on choral music and chamber instrumental music, in a maximalist, post-tonal style. I play a passable amount of beginner piano, but my sightreading is terrible >.< I also dabble a little bit on the ukulele, although at this point I mostly just play chords to my favorite jam songs. I am also a huuuuge music theory nerd (probably a given for a composer) and have a good amount of interest in historical musicology and ethnomusicology, focusing on sacred choral music and Hawaiian choral music.
Outside of my music life (whaaaaat? you should be practicing, Kea!) I love to write, primarily in the style of blog posts/essay posts about all sorts of topics, although I usually stick to music and topics in social justice like feminism and racial/cultural relations. Oh yeah, I also grew up in Hawaii, although I'm currently living in Texas, accompanying my fiancé as he finishes up his master's degree in piano performance.
Online, you're likely to find me on Reddit or Neopets (what can I say, I like cute things >.< ) or just browsing around on Facebook.
Offline, I am a chronic casual gamer and play (not well, mind you) a lot of Pokemon, StarCraft 2, The Sims 3, Portal 1/2, plus tabletop RPGs including D&D 3.5, Pathfinder, and White Wolf variants.

Hey everyone! biggrin I play both saxophone and clarinet. Right now, I'm working on the Alexander Glazunov Concerto for Alto Saxophone (Op. 109). I'll probably be practicing while you read this! I also play jazz, especially tenor. cool
