Mayloo pretended to frown and got up from the bed lazily. "Well I could change that and let you go alone..." But he hadn't indicated to wanting that at all so she hopped back besides to smile big like a cat. "Shall we await for docking?"
Gathering her belongings, she awaited for him alittle bit before going to the ladder up. "Um..." A short struggle to get everything set up so she had free hands was in order before beginning her ascent. "New air from a new place!" Technically throughout the hold ride the place was new, but she liked the constant emphasis on this final landing.

"Sounds like a plan," Vence said, grabbing his things. As Mayloo left the room, he turned toward the window. Now or never.
A few quick hand motions later, he felt some of his energy drain as a small golden butterfly landed on his hand. This was his little messenger, when he preferred subtlety(sp?) over anything else. He whispered a few words to it, and broght it to the window. It took off, and almost immediately vanished from his view. Satisfied and confident it would find it's way, he left the room, following after Mayloo up the stairs.
--- [And now, to introduce Theil, since he's coming on soon, might as well.]
"Can ya' not get any peace aound 'ere?" Theil asked himself, stiffling a yawn. He had worked well into the night, hunting, and now he was working at the docks. And with the lack of any catch last night, plus todays mundane yet toilsome work, he was not feeling so hot.
At the moment, he had just finished delivering equipment for the smith, all the way on the other side of the town. The stuff was heavy. Now he was waiting for the small cargo/passanger ship to pull into the docks. He sighed; he would rather continue hunting, but it wasn't worth a profit unless you caught something, and this was making up for yesterday's failure.
Still sitting atop a crate, he felt something touch his hand. He glanced up, and saw a golden-colored butterfly, wiht small streaks of red. He blinked, cocked his head to the side staring at the little insect. He knew almost right away it wasn't just some random happanstance it landed on him. Bringing his hand up to eye level, he whispered to the creature.
"So, what have ye' to say to me?"
The butterfly flicked it's wings, and dissapated, leaving his hand empty. He did hear a voice, as clear as day, in it's place. This, he recognised instantly.
"Yo, Theil, I'll be arriving in Bankridge soon, me and a friend. Think we could bunk with you for a night or two before we head off again? I think you might be able to help us, too. See ya' in a few, I hope..."
Theil smiled, hopping off the crate. He wouldn't miss this chance even if he saw the Brenethel's biggest Grass Crawler.

She had popped up from the cabin area and now made way with her reorganized things towards the railing that would soon let them off. There were a few people standing both on the docking area and on the deck to assist both people and maybe even some trade. "I can't believe we're here, but will your friend know we've arrived?" Mayloo questioned Vence when he finally caught up. "You probably really miss him eh?"
Finally the connection to land was made and without any patience, Mayloo stepped off the boat to feel her feet upon solid ground once more. Everyone was a stranger there so it got to be somewhat creepy to be standing alone now. Maybe she should've waited for Vence...

"He might have an idea," Vence said, shrugging as he restrained himself from smiling openly. Nonetheless, a small hint of a smile appeared on the corner of his mouth. Yes, Theil probably knew by now, unless he was farther away.
Before he could say anything else, Mayloo had already skipped off the boat as soon as it landed. Shrugging again as he now let his smile show openly, he descended from the ship at a quicker pace, catching up with her. She looked a little nervous, probably from rushing into unkown territory, and when he finally stood beside her again, he took her hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze.
"Watch yourself: ports are rather known for getting a bit confusing at first."

Luckily for Vence, Mayloo had yet to notice his perculiar smiling but by the time she finally saw any of his smiling, it seemed to be of adventure. His hand embraced her own, causing her to calm herself and fare the place better with someone so knowledgeable at her side ((We should honor him for that scream )) "I'll be careful, even when you're here." Her defenses were up but only to a small extinct.
"Will you be willing to lead dear sir?" Her attempt at making him sound like a prince was amusing.

"That would be smart," Vence replied, nodding in approval. Mayloo had some sense...but he knew that already. He glanced at her in some mild amusement as she asked him to lead the way, if somewhat fancy in it's wording. Again, he nodded, smiling.
"Of course, my lady," he replied. As he made his way forward, however, still holding Mayloo's hand, An unexpected surprise came right in front of him.
---
Theil, being a bit taller than most, was able to keep an eye on the crowd, observing. Vence was here, somewhere, and he was with someone? Who? He watched the ship that docked for a few seconds, hoping to see him among the last to make their way off the rammp. With no luck, he had to admit he was already off. Sighing, he pushed his way through the crowd, excusing himself along the way.
"I ain't gunna' get anywhere with this," he said under his breath. Tapping his foot on the ground, he took advantage of his magic. Theil was an expert by now at using earth-based magic, and just by tapping his foot, he was able to send out and recieve wavelengths of energy, sort of like echolation. But rather than producing an image, it gave him an idea of people's resonance; potential magical exertion. He related it to a glass of cold water with condensation: the condensation was caused by energy being produced, and it eventaully had to leak out.
By scanning the area resonance-wise, he quickly found Vence...with another resonance beside him. Smaller, but definately active. maybe this was the other person with him? Shrugging, he smiled as he pushed his way throught the somewhat lessening crowd with renewed vigor. Finally spotting the two, he chuckled as he made his way to them.
So Vence's got himself a girl, ey? Lucky b*****d.
"Wassup' man?" Theil asked, planting himself in front of Vence, smiling broadly. "Haven't seen ya' in a year, I've been bored, even a Sandscrub could interst me."
[Le'sse how Mayloo responds. razz I know, I'm mean.]

Making sure everything was adjusted nicely upon her back, she began skipping a tad besides Vence as he held her hand. He always supplied her some kind of energy with his presence but it was suddenly directed to a tension of her muscles.
Someone had the nerve to just stop right before them but before her fight or flight kicked in, he casually spoke to Vence. What he said could only indicate that he was the friend Vence spoke of so without any rude intention or fear, Mayloo let go of Vence's hand so that he may embrace his friend in a hug like she'd expect friends to do. (Even if they are guys xD Hahahaha)
"So...I'm guessing you two are pretty connected seeing as you read he was here or something." She told Theil humorously while giving Vence a sly eye. He never told her that he was a physic too.

Vence smiled broadly, taking Theil's hand in a firm, friendly shake. He'd changed, but not so much as he thoguht he would have. He was the same, physically speaking.
"Took you long enough to find us, how've you been holding up? You've improved your grammar, it seems."
"Yeah yeah, shut up, I jus' got bored with gramps naggin' me over it," Theil replied, Returning the shake with a light punch in the chest as well. Light meaning enough force to make Vence fall back a step. He grinned, not really caring; it was and old joke between them, to try to get each other to fall when they shook hands. Neither had ever won yet. "You've been workin' on hidin' your resonance, I only just caught ya'. Your girl here gave you away." He nodded in Mayloo's direction, smiling. He was a little proud of himself for having carried casual conversation while simultaneously answering her assumption with truth.
"Ya' gunna' introduce me or what, huh?
Vence turned to Mayloo, once again taking here hand. He didn't want her to feel left out too much.
"This is Mayloo, we met in Altyrys."
"Before or after the scare?" Theil asked, his mood suddenly changed. He had dropped his voice down; Vence got the picture.
"News travels that fast?"
"News like that will. You won't hear it on the street, but behind closed doors is where you'll find it."
Vence nodded in understanding. "Then let's talk elsewhere, lead the way. Theil nodded, and wordlessly beckoned them to follow as he turned toward the town. Vence looked to Mayloo again, and smiled sort of reassuringly. Even if word of that had gotten out, they were still safe.

Mayloo wanted to intervene with her own little jokes here and there but she would let the boys be boys which included some hitting. All she did was roll her eyes and smile awkwardly while watching a meeting unravel.
The term 'your girl' Theil had used could only trigger an unintentional blush upon her face for it seemed he already knew of them, that and she was a beckon of aura. She'd second guess that being good or not later on but for now....
Vence had grasped her hand again which perked her up as she took a breath to speak her name but he had done it for her which was fine. It didn't bother her much till her town's incident was brought up immediantly afterwards.
Silently she listened with a hint of gauntness. However, it didn't falter her attention to Vence as he flashed her a smile. Slowly another appeared upon her own lips for him in return as they traveled in a guided path.

The short silence did not last long between the three of them. There was other news that had yet needed to be revealed, and the silence and cloud of gloom was ebbing him.
"So, how is Gramps these days? Still As bold as ever?"
"And as boisterous, I'll tell ya' that." Theil replied, smiling a little. "He never shuts up, and it's tickin' everyone off, as always."
"How does Mom put up with him?" He asked, smiling himself as he rolled his eyes. They both knew what'd she say, and as such both answered simultaneously.
"We all have a little spirit, and that's something you can't hide." With that, the two of them laughed. Vence glanced at Mayloo. She had no idea what they were talking about, did she?
"Gramps and Mom are Theil's foster parents. They've been good to us, and they're good people." Vence told her.
"Comin' up fast, friends, we'll be there in a minute yeah?" Theil interjected, nonchaulantly(sp?) pointing down the path. By now the buildings of the small town was already past, and they were coming up to the trees. Easily seen, between the forests' edge lining of trees and brushes, was a small cottage. Vence smiled when he saw the quaint little house; it had that family air about it. And Theil proved just how laid back you could be.
"GRAMPS! MOM! WE GOT COMPANY!" He shouted ahead, his boyish smile appearing. Mischief was still his specialty.

It was indeed a conversation she could only stare blankly at for quite some time until Vence clarified for her. She had the idea they were his guardians and all, just not foster...It was kinda sad. She nodded to him with a small frown etched.
"Hm?" Her attention was snatched by the exclamation Theil made while Mayloo's eyes followed the direction his finger guided them. A small house was planted at the end of the path. She wasn't sure she was to find comfort in a stranger's home anytime, but she would continue to keep to Vence.

[Thanks for the spellcheck. 3nodding I always thought it had a "u" somewhere. xp ]
The door opened soon after Theil's exclamation, revealing a middle-aged woman, plainly dressed in a ankle-lenth brown dress, unadorned in any way. With blonde hair and, even from a distance you could see, green eyes, she gave the appearance of a very kind woman. And to Vence's knowledge, she was.
She smiled, and waved to them, not at all seeming to notice there was a new face.
"Well come on then Theil, If they're staying for the night, you're in charge of fixing the place up," she said as they made it to the short steps of the front porch. Theil rolled his eyes, and gave a quickwave before starting into a run, obviously in a rush.
"It's good to see you again, Mrs. Relfos," Vence said as she turned to greet the two of them.
"Same to you, Vence. You've grown quite a bit since I last saw you."
Vence nodded and glanced at Mayloo, giving her hand a little squeeze as he smiled. Mrs. relfos caught the look, and smiled even more.
"It seems You're heart has grown as much as your stature, Vence." Turning her attention to Mayloo, she held out a hand. "Everyone who's a friend of Theil and Vence here is welcome, so no need to be too shy. What's your name?"

((No problem ^_^ I always believed alot of words had 'u' in it. xD Then it makes me sad to see they don't. :3 ))
Mayloo's eyes weren't the only ones to fall upon the women first. She seemed like a kind, homely character and didn't mind serving a greeting gesture. Everything seemed perfectly casual.
She approached them to provoke Theil to do a brief straightening up while she kept them company till he was finished. Vence and her had certainly been friends by the sound of it, but not much was exchanged when she felt a squeeze upon her hand.
Mayloo couldn't help but smile to Vence just like the women had done also. They both admired him, although in different ways. The young female would've kissed Vence upon the cheek if it wasn't for the question she had been faced with, that and a handshake.
"My name's Mayloo, thank you for allowing us to stay." Taking the lady's hand with a shake, she too had to ask in return. "What is yours?" Vence and Theil could have their own titles for her, but as a new guest, she felt obligated to ask.
