Hiroto was happily inhaling his second burger when Jou walked in. Given the distraction of burger heaven and fry paradise he was pretty sure he misheard his best friend when he told him he'd be camping out with a school age kid. Upon receiving clarification, he realized that staying with "Mokuba" was a cover for staying with Kaiba.

"Why the hell would you do that?" Hiroto asked, completely flabbergasted. After everything that Jounouchi had been through in the past close to 24 hours - the majority of it Kaiba's damn fault - one would think the last thing any sane person wanted to do would be locking himself up with the harbinger of misfortune. "Seriously, are you sure this is a smart plan, I mean if you are really that desperate to be abused couldn't you just leap off of Kaiba's damn shiny tower?"

Hiroto was worried and agitated, and he just really did not get it.

((Gotta have some lols in the seriousness. xd

Oh yea that's fine, I had just kinda been drawing that as brief amusement while I decided if Honda was going to do something important or not. Yea Tetsuo snuck out of the hospital awhile ago, although I don't know that Jounouchi would actually know that, nobody has gone to check that he's there, so he probably would think he had to go back to the hospital first. Kinda forgot to have someone go check on Tetsuo, nobody cares, haha. He snuck into a bar but I'm sure by the time Jounouchi actually figures out he's at the hospital and gets home Tetsuo will probably be there. ^_~

Ok the plan is to kill their mother? I totally do not remember that. I went back to the first page where it just says "ruin Jounouchi's life so bad he wanted to die," though I don't think I ever made an assumption on what that meant. Other than just repeated bad things (which yes would obviously elevate beyond trapped in a building). Anyhow that's fine. I have no input at the moment, but as you're playing the mother I'm going to say your call initially on how fast you want to die. Although I would say we probably need to integrate Shizuka and the mother into the story before the demon is going to think, hey, let's cause misery via murder here. Not that the demon isn't all knowing or anything, he's just kind of an in the moment guy, out of sight out of mind. xd ))

"Alright geez, you didn't have to get so angry," Hiroto muttered when Jounouchi finished his spiel.

"Yea you can do whatever you want, I was just worried ok, it seemed like an insane and unnecessary idea, and it still does. You won't convince me otherwise," he said pointedly, wagging his right index in front of Jounouchi's face.

"But I'm here for ya if you need me, just, chill out dude. You are way too worked up, part of why you aren't convincing me of anything, being this on edge," Hiroto finished, standing up to go throw the remnants of his meal away.

He just nodded to the rest of what Jounouchi rambled off as they walked out, making sure to reassure his friend once again that he was always here for him, even if he did come up with the craziest plans in history. Waving as Jounouchi ran back towards the hospital, Hiroto sighed and headed towards home. He'd try and nap for a bit before dinner time, after this day he had a headache that would warrant the laziness.

Yamada frowned at the empty room. Jounouchi Tetsuo hadn't been an official patient, so perhaps this was for the best, although there were still unsettling facts to deal with. He was interrupted by the appearance of his patient's son, also unaware that his father had apparently booked it.

Before letting Jounouchi run off though, he felt compelled to state, "just so you know, I drew blood from your father for testing purposes. Not in relation to liability or anything, they were for my own...we'll say inquisitive pursuits. Regardless, I thought you should know that your father was completely sober when he fell. Well, sober for his clearly advanced level of alcoholism anyhow. I'm not sure what happened in that room, and I'm not going to pry, but I just thought you should have that information. Your father was as steady and clearheaded as ever when he...fell. You can't attribute his accident or anything else this morning to alcoholism. As for his claim to memory loss, well, I can't say," Yamada finished, cringing a little as the man before him went rapidly pale. Yamada was certain that whatever he had been dragged into this morning, it wasn't accidental, and it was a lot more controversial than he'd been led to believe. He wouldn't pry unwanted, however given his suspicions he couldn't not give the boy what he clearly realized was a warning before letting him head home.

Yamada stayed in the room a few moments longer after the younger Jounouchi left, pondering.

((I poofed him over for ya, hope ya don't mind, after that scolding all Hiroto wanted to do was cut and run. xd

Oh ok, it might be on the rp discussion thread, I haven't gone back there since we decided to go with this, and there were two possible plots on there so I think I just sorted all details when this officially got up. Anyhow that's fine. Or she could fall and be in a coma if you don't want her dead. Or she could run off with a Wino, hehehe, j/k. Anyhow yea I remember now that I'm Shizuka huh? So I guess I'll have her call eventually...maybe wait and see how things take off at the Kaiba mansion first. razz

Hmm, somehow I feel Shizuka is going to be the hardest character for me. ~_~))

Tetsuo cringed slightly when the door opened, he wished the kid hadn’t come back, he didn’t want to deal with him right now. He ignored the entrance, pretending to be too enthralled with the television to look up at his son. Hopefully the kid would just go back to his room, leave him alone. He needed more time to think.

Seto waited until he heard the car pull out of the drive, made sure Mokuba was gone for sure, before hopping up and crawling under the bed. He couldn’t believe the kid had actually taken his laptop away, had the desktop removed, hell he even grabbed the phone. As if arranging to have him confined with a dumb dog for an indefinite period wasn’t bad enough, he had to leave him completely cut off?

“You need to rest not work Seto,” he mumbled to himself, trying to mimic his brothers irate bossy pitch.

Climbing back out, he cheered triumphantly. As if Kaiba Seto only had one laptop. True this was quite the outdated model, considering he honestly didn’t bother replacing that technology as often as some of his gaming pieces. Computers could be upgraded, the newest thing there rarely was an actual innovation and revolution in in the techno era. His dislike of all things supernatural aside, he had to thank whatever stroke of genius had prompted him to hide it and just claim to have disposed of the piece, rather than just disposing of it, or at least not hiding it. Somehow a hidden computer just seemed like a great idea. Beast that it was, it was at least Wi-Fi capable, and Mokuba hadn’t bothered to take his external hard drive assuming it was useless on its own.

He fully trusted Mokuba to run his company. He just couldn’t be expected to just sit and do nothing for weeks. That would probably kill him. Of course he would have to keep the blasted thing hidden from Jounouchi. The damn mutt better not be planning on watching him sleep - something Seto felt he would be spending a great deal of time doing. He stepped over to the intercom and demanded to be alerted before Jounouchi was sent up to him, he didn’t want his last moments of privacy impinged upon. Let the staff take that as will. Now all he needed to do was set up a live feed of the mansion security on the old laptop. Jounouchi could probably be easily enticed into his state of the art game room or theater while Seto “napped,” and he’d just have to keep an eye out to make sure his work was not interrupted whenever he was checked up on.

((Oh Jou, you idiot, you always take things the wrong way. *palm forehead* xd

Hiroto: Hey! I’m a coward not a loser!!
Gail: Oh yea, MUCH better. *eye roll*

Haha, epic fail! Yea, I mean as much as I’d love to maliciously whack a character, at the same time that does erase any potential playing power they have from the story. I mean true this is a supernatural story, but resurrection is always a touchy play.

That works, or she could be worried after Tetsuo gives her vague information about Jou and she can panic and call all his friends and get them all riled up. I mean Honda already knows he’s at Kaiba, but I’m sure Yuugi and Anzu would love to have thoughts on that too. stressed ))

"What the hell do you want?" Tetsuo finally grunted back, definitely antagonistic, but trying not to give way to his true frustrations and worries in the present moment.

((S'ok, Tetsuo didn't do much...I didn't want to make him too responsive until he knows what he's responding too. And I still haven't decided how he'll react yet, though depending on how it goes I have some ideas...hmm. Heh. razz

Oh assuming Yamada was telling him because he was thinking of calling the police. Jounoucih always assuming people are thinking about calling the police, rather than just geniunely worried. He really was just worried that something was really off with Tetsuo, and Jounouchi was going to get hurt, and he wanted him on guard. Because Yamada is perceptive as hell. wink

I'mma miss him if he never comes back again. crying

Mkay, maybe Honda will tell them...or maybe it'll be a funny explosion...or maybe...^_~))

"Oh well I flew here on my magical ******** tricycle," Tetsuo bellowed, his voice heavy with both sarcasm and fury. "Damn, how do you think I got here you idiot? I took the bus. As soon as I was able to get the hell out of there unnoticed. What the ******** where you thinking, letting them admit me, so I fell down," Tetsuo paused, debating on whether he wanted to still play at memory loss, or beat the crap out of his son for interfering. And then go beat the hell out of that damn CEO with whatever hunk of metal the young man had hurled into his own noggin. With a slight shake of the head, he continued, "you pick me up and you get me the hell out of there. You don't admit me. I don't give a ******** if it's on the house, or whatever bullshit story they told you. Don't be such a damn fool boy."

Tirade at an end he returned his attention to the TV, waiting to see if Katsuya would just leave, or if his kid was going to spring some other misfortune on him. His son had been nothing but a burden to him lately.

((Yea I know, and considering the nature of this role-play a doctor is very likely to have a recurrent role. ^_~))

Tetsuo at first merely grunted, glad to hear that he would be getting a reprieve for awhile. Chance to clear his head, get his thoughts together. "Whatever," he started to mumble, before being interrupted by the ringing of the telephone. "Go get that," Tetsuo mumbled, turning back to the television.

"Jou!" a high pitched female voice cried into the phone, "hey big brother is that you? It's me, Shizuka! How are you doing, is everything alright with you and," after a slight moment of hesitation, "our father?"

((Oh look she called. xp ))

"Hehe," Shizuka giggled merrily, happy to be talking to her brother after such a long absence. "We are fine here, I'm doing just great in school, and mom is doing just fine. Umm, she's decided to become a connoisseur of fine wine lately, which is a little odd. But yea she's good. Not over doing it or anything, just buying more vintages than we have room to store. I swear she's going to trip over one if she isn't careful."

Shizuka prattled on for several more minutes, relating the details of her daily life, pausing only at opportune moments to allow herself a breath and her brother a share in the commentary.

"Well, I shouldn't keep you tied to the line like this, I'm sure you have things to do. I just wanted to call and say hi, make sure you were fine. Thought I might come by in a few months when I have a vacation, doesn't that sound nice?" Shizuka asked, moving to wrap up the conversation. She refrained from asking, but her brother sounded slightly off. She knew if he was going to tell her anything he just would, so she wouldn't pry for now. Maybe she wouldn't wait that couple of months though, she couldn't quite run off at the moment, but in a few weeks...well, she'd see how things were then. Give her family another call to make sure things were alright at least before charging in and demanding the source of her elder brother's pain and confusion.

((I originally wrote: Shizuka giggled for no reason whatsoever. It probably would have expanded further from there, but then remembered I probably shouldn't start off bashing my own character, hahaha. This is not a satire. xd

Ok, I don't remember "when" it is within a seasonal year, hence her just saying vacation rather than a specific break. Not that it matters anyhow, it probably won't be months. ^_~))
