"Oh, I'm coming! No way in Hell I'm going to be stuck being made into some Teddy bear for a woman in distress!"

"Dent you need to stop drinking. You're boring when you're drunk," Malice said, lifting her head off the counter and glaring at him.
Dent only grunted. Only Malice would know it's subtle meaning.
"Well you should..."

Slade did not even respond.

"...Well... I suppose I rejoice in the fact I get to kill something." HK sighed happily, looking up as if he could see the sky.
"Sweet, sweet murder~"

Back in the city, Alex was now wandering. She was busy trying to absorb the city life: It's looks, it's feel.. Everything one could. And she was hating it. She was beginning to see why her father had kept her away from this place.
Her father... So much had been going on lately, she hadn't any time to even remember him and reflect his life and the influence it had on her. Or even bury him. And these things disturbed her.
"Oh come on.." She growled, pressing the bottom of her palms to her eyes. "Keep it together Alex..." She mumbled, already losing herself to tears.

Brad had walked by, whistling. After a few moments, the whistling stopped before going in reverse at the same time as he.
"...Aren't you the chick following Slade around..?"

Alex slowly removed her hands, staring at Brad with bloodshot eyes.
"...Yeah... I was his little captive..." She sighed, wiping her eyes. "He was taking me here, as a dying request from my father."

"And you're Brad, right? Slade's old neighbor who idiotically threw a stun grenade in his house, and saved me from the Slaver..?"

Brad's eye twitched when his prank was brought up.
"Yeaaaaah......Just be glad you've never been fired at by the most efficient mercenary whose pissed..." he said with a hysterical laugh.
"...And that was back when I had BOTH of my arms...."

"He knocked me out, tied me up, and dragged me out the only home I've ever had just to throw me into your old home." Alex said, giving Brad a dull stare.

"Ahh, so they finally found someone to take that place..." Brad said with a nod.
"Good luck~ You've got a psychopath as a neighbor~"

"King said they would have scraped it up if it hadn't been for my arrival." Alex sighed, slumping over when Brad wished her luck.

"Don't remind me.."

"Oh, and be sure to NEVER go into his house....He nearly cut my head off last time I tried to peer inside......"
