The rain sizzled against the imposter's skin and lifted into the air as smokey lavendar vapors. The sensation of water against his superheated skin tickled somewhat. The thrill of fighting against a strong oppenent felt almost the same. Lucien was weaked from before though, so the sensation was more subdued. Like the fight between Lomoli and Raven, it was a game of waiting. For now, the unknown fighter would continue this skirmish.
"Yeah. But now we have another problem...."
Raven's shockwave could blast through Lucien's Negation with no problem. His magma, on the other hand, was an amorphous solid. His forward punch was split into three separate streams. The slashes were on their way the unknown fighter. Quickly, he cancelled his attack altogether and started to run to left keeping his eyes on Lucien. As Ana prepared her attack, the magma manipulator decided now was his time to strike. Should she keep Lucien still long enough, he could deliver upon him great damage. While running, he jumped up and performed two spinning kicks both of which shot out globs of magma at Lucien. Lightning, thunder and rain was beginning to pick up now and it roared with each attack one of the combatants threw. The unknown fighter was looking to make this Lucien's eternal grave. Moli, on the other hand, needed to live. He had some interrogation to go through.
~~~
"No!! No!!!" Roulin shouted at the screen after his brother took a combination from his opponent from the other day and Raven, the shockwave. He could make out Moli's form against the ground. The suit of light that once covered him was now gone leaving only the clothes that Noel had given him. The television screen cracked in the upper left side blurring what was once there. Everything else was still visible. Whether or not the duo would be able to watch it was another story.
Roulin felt a hand on his shoulder, then another on his other shoulder. He turned and twisted the hand that was on his left shoulder and brushed away the right. His fear had come true. These Owls wanted him and Cecilia gone and it would be by force if it had to be. After twisting the arm of one of the Owls, another managed to land a punch on the teen detective. Roulin didn't stumble, but instead quickly returned with one of his own. "Cecilia..." Roulin started while diverting and blocking punches, "Clear a path out of here!"
Cecilia's hand flew to her mouth upon seeing the young man who had been bathed in light fall to the ground unconscious. Yet before she could react, she heard the angry shouts of the Owls that were a part of the island. They clearly did not want Roulin and Cecilia here. Cecilia did not want to kill them, but perhaps she could immobilize some of them just enough to make an escape. She pulled her chain whip away from her waist and whipped it over her head, bringing it down upon the wave of angry residents. The spike of the whip did not pierce anyone, but the the force of the chain pushed a good number of them out of the way, stunning a lot of them and knocking out a few more with little to know injuries except maybe a few bumps on the head where they had struck them when they fell. Another group of Owls came at her from behind, but being prepared for it, Cecilia flipped through the air and aimed her chain whip at them. It wrapped around the ankles of the angry Owls. With a jerk, of her chain whip, Cecilia managed to bring the group down all at once before retracting her chain whip and landed in a graceful crouch.
Lucien could feel the malicious intent of the magma user, as he prepared his magma like kicks Lucien suddenly felt a sharp pain coming from his head. He gripped it tightly closing his eyes for a moment. His supercomputer brain easily detected the source, an owl with mental abilities. He knew all psychic Owls carried with them strong mental focus, he was definately no exception. He leapt backwards as the two kicks slammed into his former crystal pillar, it shattered and melted under the heat and pressure. He slid backwards as the rain covered him. He opened his eyes all the way, turning to the fallen Owl girl. Now was not the time for sympathy as one would expect. He slashed his arm up as a telekinetic blade slashed upwards towards her, if she didn't dodge or block it would slice her head in half diagonally on the 45 degree angle. It was just a simple way for him to ensure himself that she would be dead in one stroke. He began manipulating his hands, like someone would do if they were playing cat's craddle. He began weaving the razor wires into intricate net like shapes which spun wildly around his body to prevent tangible attacks. He knew that he needed to come up with a different strategy. Using his percetion abilities he began thinking of ways to solve this little problem. He instantly thought up of three plans. He swiped his hands in a large circle still continuing to manipulate the razor wires, he knew that the magma man's attacks were nearly all tangible, he would be a fly in his trap, he had also made a backup plan for if and when he became a slab of molten lava to escape his powers.
The tinge of pain that Lucien experienced was enough for the impersonator to draw off of. At heart, the genius owl was still a human. No more, no less. As for Ana, he doubted that she was aware of what Lucien could do both at close and long range. The unknown fighter was experienced enough to know that something nearly invisible was headed her way. He couldn't block the attack sent at the girl who had attempted to fry Lucien's mind. She was a good help, but if she lost her life there, it would be no skin off of his back. "You! Duck now!" He shouted at the girl. That was the best he could do for her at the moment. Until he could get to her she would have to fend off Lucien's long ranged attacks.
The unknown fighter was as relentless as his powers would allow him to be. His liquid-solid powers were somewhat different from others as they could add force to a barrier as well as permiate it if it were porous or had points of entry. Lucien's net was no different. The fighter threw a punch that, mid way to Lucien, took the shape of a terryfying dog with bright , firery dark yellow eyes. This was one of his more advanced attacks that he kept away until now. This basic attack was also the attack that has killed most of his opponents.
~~~
Roulin looked around in amazement at Cecilia's manuevers. She'd done precisely what he had asked of her. To clear a path. He dashed to the door on a path made of downed Owls and took his assistant's hand as he passed by her. There was no time to waste. Getting off the island right now was of the highest priority. Knowing this group of people, they would tie them up and ship them to Washigton D.C. where...well, Roulin didn't want to think about that right now. Was important was that they get out intact and together. Unfortunately, on the outside of the restaurant were more Owls. A particular group of Owls though were with them and trying to assist in their escape. They waved to them to continue on as they held back others that want to slay them then and there. "Oh thank god. People on our side...come on Cici. We have to find a spot to teleport..."

((Thanks for clearing that up Mahareshi!))
Ana heard the yell and quickly ducked, feeling the attack hit her fan. A loud ding could be heard as she faltered backwards. There was a moment of anger in her eyes and she kept moving as her mind once again started to pull him into her ultra universe. She knew it would not be as strong since she wasn't standing still, however it was all she could do.
This person was an all-together different fighter, his skill different then any she had seen. Ana repeated his attack in her mind, making sure she would remember it. You shouldn't have done that... The world around them seemed to darken as she played with the thoughts in his mind. However there was a guard around her, knowing that she would be in a fight for her life with Lucien.

((TFP---Raven))
Raven laughed at Lucien’s words while sending out a shockwave to clash with the lightening “Why? Its always the same with you guys! Try using that powerful brain of yours, Lucien!” She resorted in a calm manner “Not every Owl will sit back ideally while the weaker race walks all over them! It is time the roles were reversed! It is OUR time to be above all else!!!” Raven was pretty impressed with how good the magma user was at fighting, he obviously had some sort of training in the past. Well, there was no use in just watching. Raven would help take Lucien down.
When Ana joined the fight, Raven smiled darkly. The girl was biding them precious time. At the magma users words, Ana ducked just in time, any second later, she would be dead “Close” Raven breathed out before she returned her attention back to Lucien, who now had his hands full. As much as she wanted to keep an eye on her team, right now, she needed to pay attention to the fight at hand. This man needed to be treated with caution, he was like no other Owl. Choosing to time her attack with the magma users somewhat, Raven released several crescent shaped shockwaves which rocketed past the magma user towards Lucien.

" You're a fool Raven! Such nonesense will progress nothing you're causing a civil war! We're still humans fighting humans nothing will come of this by turning our entire race against the normal humans!" He shouted again to be heard over the lightning. Lucien could see the world around him begin to distort. He looked towards the mental owl, the annoyance that was her existance was beginning to wear on his nerves. "Little Owl you have no idea what kind of Hell you're getting yourself into." He said in a dark voice. "You're playing with Death, not some novice on the playground." He said as negation began to drip from his hands. "You'll see why I was picked as successor to Death." He said with a small smirk. He was flashing in and out of her mental world, with his mental prowess, gained through the training with Amara he could keep his focus for a while longer. As he flashed into reality for a moment he saw a glimmer of the fiery dog. Lucien quickly burst his body into mist the dog passing through his misty body. Back in her mental world for a moment he began to think and unravel the physics behind the world. In a moment he was back into the real world. He focused and, just like Amara had shown him on a plane he began to astro-project, an off brand of his psychic powers. As his spirit like form shot from the mist he was temporarily freed from Ana's mental powers, once he returned to his still misty body he knew that he would return to her power. As the spirit Lucien looked at the Magma Owl he thrusted his hand out as seven telekinetic blades formed around him, they spun wildly and fired straight for him like bullets from a gun.

Solaris Beauty Noel continued to drive as she continued to speak. "I really don't know how the OWL population grew as it did because as you know, there are humans who give birth to OWL children and OWL parents who give birth to humans." she said. "Genetics...funny thing I tell you" she said as they continued to drive. They soon arrived to an intimate inn. "I guess this is where we'll be lodging until we're well rested" she told the two of them and looking at an unconscious Amara. Erin listened to Noel as she explained the stuff about Owls and humans. However, she was watching the unconscious Amara she slept. Not because she was concerned that Amara might attack them but because she was worried about if Amara would ever wake up again. Erin only looked up again once Noel announced their arrival at a homely looking inn. "Looks good to me. Should we bring her," Erin asked, nodding towards Amara, ...with us?"

IBlameRoadSuess As Nik followed Anya down the street, back to the apartment, he hummed lightly, and tried not to think about the insult Anya had given him. He too, noticed Roulin and Cecilia had stopped to eat. He didn't feel like joining in a conversation with them so soon either, so he didn't question Anya on it. Nikolai thought he heard someone calling his name, then it got louder. He looked around trying to figure out who would know him here, he looked down for some reason, and saw a woman waving at him from inside his shadow. He blinked and crouched down, inspecting the shadow before he asked, "Yes, that's me. Who are you? And what are you doing in my shadow miss?" Nikolai wasn't someone who was easily surprised by things that shouldn't be happening, he figured she was most likely an Owl, with the power to manipulate shadows, like him. He tilted his head slightly as he was crouched down and said, "This is a odd way of talking to someone, hang on." Nikolai stood up and manipulated his shadow into the approximation of a human woman, and made it stand up. He smiled and said, lightly, "There, that's better. Now, what are you doing in my shadow, if you don't mind me asking?" He smiled lightly at this new 'person' and glanced over at Anya to see what she was doing, before turning back to his shadow. When Nikolai finally looked down at his shadow and saw her, Happy-Syd grinned and waved at him again. "Hi~, Nikolai~!" she replied in that overly cheerful manner of hers. She watched in fascination as Nikolai shifted his own shadow around so that her figure was now shown in the female shadow figure he had made for her. However, Happiness couldn't see it very well. She was after all, at first, looking up at him, but now that he'd shifted the shadow around, she could look straight ahead without craning her neck in an awkward position. "Thanks for doing that. My neck was hurting. I've been looking up like that all day!" Happy-Syd stated the obvious all the time too. Then, she remembered that Nikolai had asked for her name. "Oh! Right! My name's not important, but you can call me Happiness." she answered, still as cheerful as ever. "The reason I'm in your shadow is cuz I can't travel on my own in the Real World. Your shadow's nice!"

Cecilia whipped her chain whip around wrapping it around her waist and securing it so that it wouldn't fall off. She then allowed Roulin to lead her out of the restaurant. She had managed to immobilize the angry Owls, but not kill them. All she was thinking about now was getting off of the island. She sighed in relief upon seeing that a number of the Owls were on their side and trying to help them. After a few minutes of running, Cecilia spotted an area on the island that was clear of murderous Owls and pointed in its direction. "What about right there?" she suggested. Part of her didn't want to leave the Owls on this island, but they had no other choice. She hoped that some residents would at least be able to escape in their own way.

Anya stopped when she heard Nikolai speaking to someone. Since she heard his voice behind her now, Anya turned, a frown on her face to look at Nik. Was he talking to his shadow? "Who the hell are you talking to?" she asked as she could not see Happiness reflected in Nik's shadow as he could. Anya stared at Nikolai for a little bit, not entirely sure whether Nikolai really was losing his mind for real this time.
But before Nikolai could answer her question, shouting and screaming came from the direction of the restaurant in which she had noticed Roulin and Cecilia eating in before they passed it. Anya watched, startled as a mob of people began chasing after Roulin and his friend out of the eatery. She had no idea what was going on, but she heard a few of the mob members screaming phrases of hate about the two of them saying: 'you damned us! Now we're all going to be killed because you let them know there was an island here!" Anya looked surprised. Roulin and Cecilia had basically saved the entire island from sure destruction when it fell out of the sky. "Those ungrateful...!" she grumbled before taking off after the mob, and joining in with the people who seemed to be stalling the mob from catching up to Cecilia and Roulin. Raising her left arm and pointing her palm towards the mob of people, Anya began sending out a concentrated wave of sleeping gas. "Run, Roulin! I got this!" Anya shouted as the gas started to take effect on some of the mob.

(Last post as Roulin for this chapter unless he needs to speak again.)
Curses and lamentations interlaced with praises and congratulations resounded in a confusing symphony that both Roulin and Cecilia had to listen to as they brisk through. Some were ungrateful while others were launched confetti and coins. This island would be torn asunder when they left it. Roulin, being the kind soul he was, would only want to return as soon as possible to fix what he helped break. "Right there is good! We just need another--" Before the two owls were Anya and Nikolai. Anya was doing her part in helping the escape by knocking the would be attackers out. With little to no focus, he tightened his hold on Cecilia's hand and looked back at her with a grin. "Hold on to your lunch!"
His first teleportation, which was less then a few feet forward, was to snatch Anya and Nikolai. Looking at the loud ex-agent, he spoke quickly, "Don't yell! I'm here to save you two!" The second teleportation was a tad farther to escape the mob behind them. They were activating their powers which only cause Roulin to lose more focus by the second. Fireballs were flung over their shoulders and shadow portals were created in their paths. Jumping, skipping and turning, Roulin evaded them all. His final teleportation saw them leaving the island in a bright flash appearing on the outskirts of Nashville Tennessee. They had made it out of Exire alive, but now they had to deal with the country pluckings of acoustic guitars, wailing voices and tales of fickle women. Although the lights shined brightly and even a few places sounded off with the trademark style of music, Roulin still found himself asking, "Ummm...so, where are we exactly?"

"Oh..." The unknown fighter had missed with his attack due to Lucien's quick transformation. He cursed beneath his breath as he retracted his attacking arm. He unfolded his hood finally revealing his face to the combatants on the field. His blonde hair was matted now due to the rainwater. The left side of his face showed signs of a burn he'd sustained years ago. It seemed to be healing well although how someone with his heat was burned was a mystery. His dark eyes were deep with anguish and sorrow but the surface only reflected anger, contempt and a flicker of passion. The face of this man told a story but his power was one that brought many to an end.
As he reeled back for another attack, he found that his body was being attacked by telekinetic blades. Much like the previous day, his ability to become his element as a reflex proved to be handy. Because Lucien was attack, the unknown fighter so this as an opprotunity to go on the berserk offensive again. His entire body converted into a human shaped mass of molten lava. In this form, he was able to curve his body in ways ordinary humas could not. He shot towards Lucien in a curved path, his curved punch getting larger and larger. He needed to quickly destroy the mist that was Lucien's body now to render his spirit homeless. From there, he'd continue his brazen assault on the owl in a different way.

Ana skidded to a halt, a small ragged breath escaping her lips. She squinted at Lucien, her eyes still holding an unnatural glow. She was surprised at the mastery of his art. However she waited patiently, still grasping at his mind till he returned. Little Owl... seriously... Her hands came together, fingertips barely touching as she brought them up to her face. She looked through her hand-made peep hole with her right eye, staring straight at Lucien's body.
"Hitzu," she murmured. Her body shook as if she had been hit with a shock wave. Ana's mind shot forward into his, knowing that his body was wide open as his spirit seemed to have evaporated into this world. She probed his thoughts for information, weaknesses, and techniques, her eyes dilating as she slowly consumed the data.
