Between the next slide and the sound of someone across the room practically running away at the mere sight of it, Zevael slowly put down its pencil and sank a little lower in its seat, ears folded back.
It just wanted to be a majestic canine.

Tybalt had only one thought about the next slide.
Was it? Could it be? It kind of---YES! It looked like another canine!
The fact that it had multiple heads, tentacles and probably wasn't actually a canine species didn't matter to him. It looked canine enough to count. IT COUNTED!

Enzo stared at the slideshow, going slightly slackjawed as whatever he had just consumed sank in. And then the thing with tentacles popped up, and at least one or more fellow students suddenly squeaked or knocked their chairs in alarm.  "It's got... plenty' too manys, that's for sure! AhehehehehehehehehAHAHEheheh..." He slapped his desk, finding it all a lot more hilarious than it actually was.

When the room got dark with the next slide, a mass of black and wiggly things, Gabby stared at it with interest. Then the teacher started circling around things and the picture became a little more ridiculous. He turned to make fun of it, but Sibyl's head wasn't where it was supposed to be. Instead, she'd ducked so far down, he grinned and bent down to knock on the top of her head with his knuckles. "Scaredycat." Gabby whispered down at her. Then he belatedly answered her question concerning Violet, by holding the top half of the crayon up and scribbling on his notes in violet crayon. He gave Sibyl his notebook. cant go to date with violet, hanging out with someone better today

There was a sharp inhale from the back of the room as Tomoko gasped.
...
.....
"Cutest puppy." she breathed out. She probably should have been following Sibyl's lead, but..but.. cute puppy. Shoggoth. Puppy. Whichever.

Angeline finally found out how to get in the room. Now she just needed to.... figure out..where sitting options were. Crap. Was somebody she knew in the room?

Cutest...puppy...? All the thrill of seeing something so awesome quickly retreated as Thackery slumped again, poking at his notebook paper with the end of a crayon. What was he doing wrong?
He doodled natural form redux plans at the bottom of his page, abandoning any note-taking he intended to do.

Barth nodded sleepily to Ren.
"Been err, you know. Not busy, obviously."
The slide changed.
...Barth recoiled at the mention of speed. But right. When you looked like a big, offensive, monstery thing, there were downsides. No one would willingly invite you into their house, for example. It was a very monstery way of doing things.

Ren smiled winningly at Tybalt.
"You make the perfect armrest, what can I say?" he said in a singsong sort of voice, climbing up to perch on the back of Tybalt's hair, arms still folded on top of the black dog's head. He absently tugged on one of the boil's ears, then gave him a Look.
"You're so transparent, sheesh."
He went back to smiling at Barth instead.
"Yes," he said, with a decisive nod. "Yes, I hope you have spent a lot of time doing nothing. And sleeping. Because a great deal of sleeping is necessary for survival."
A sage nod followed this obviously true statement.------------------------------------------------------------------- Xavier had attempted to take notes - attempted being the key word - but he had not exactly gotten very far.
Eldrid's prod made him jump a little in his seat. "Oh, er," he said awkwardly, looking, if possible, more morose than ever. "Er, yes hi it's you is it, I'm afraid I've forgotten your name."

As for Mengyao, he gave Lifen a mildly exasperated look and whispered back, "I'm relatively certain our mounts are much more intimidating than many of the natural forms of some in this class."
A slight pause.
"Though," he admitted, somewhat grudgingly. "It is a tad...interesting, I suppose, to turn oneself into such a creature."

By now Jason was reduced to a shaking lump of hyperventilating breasts and hair, his head laying on the desk to give him something other then the fearsome tentacled thing on the screen.

Even now His weapon could not take a damn thing seriously, and out of the corner of his eye he saw someone else running. Yes! Yes this was a excellent idea he was going to get up and get the hell out of here.
Though instead of that, he stood up and managed to spy a certain zombie boil. All attempts at running failed as he legs turned to jelly, and he fell back into his seat.
Jason really hated zombies.

The first dismaying thought for Maple was that she had missed a previous lecture from Professor Selene, especially one that would seem as interesting as FEAR. She moped and slouched in her seat as she continued to scribble down notes of basically everything the snake woman was saying, near word for word.
Each slide she saw was beautiful, at least that was a nice pick-me up. The creatures that Selene showed them were amazing, in imagery and the way she described that that the little Witchling near forgot to take notes!
And that last one. Maple could feel stars in her eyes just looking at the Shoggoth. So cool ~

On the other hand, well... Olivia wasn't paying much attention at all. At least to the slides. Occasionally her eyes would glance up at the screen when the slides would switch, momentarily taking in the picture that the Professor would show them and maybe a few words about it like the name and basics.
Otherwise, Olivia was more interested in watching the others in the class. Her face was nearly beaming when she saw Amarus respond to her wave and ... mouthed something, she wasn't sure but it was something her way and she couldn't be happier. The ghoul watched as the ghost began tossing papers here and there then shifted to watch a few other students converse with each other - and even looked up at the last slide with a long stare (huh, that looked... interesting).

Akubi's comment on his drawing got a "Thank you." in return. AJ could see the cat-boil drew a big black feline, fluffy enough to raise his interest. The serpent-dragon boil was so curious about Akubi's natural form, so he asked " Hey! What kind of species are you?"Not until the answer is given, the slide show began which drew almost his complete attention. Wow! The teachers have good natural forms, big feathery phoenix, a giant fluffy feline, oh another fluffy Pricolici?! Never heard of that. Wait.....why they seem familiar??? And then - The latest slide amazed him. That.....was a canine?! So many tentacles but it looks cute. Shoggoth? Ok, he will remember that. " Professor! I know the other three are teachers, but do we have a Shoggoth student in Amityville?" On the other hand, the head......was drooling over the screen, thinking of the squid-like tentacles maybe as tasty and chewy as the squid dishes.

"Say what?" Tybalt's happy daze was interrupted by Ren's comment and with a lot of effort the black dog managed to lift his head enough to sort of look taller. Maybe. "I am not an armrest you walking pillow!" And smacked the gryphon's nose when he tugged at his ear. Or he thought it was his nose, it might have been his eye.
"But I'm not! I'm solid at the moment!" He complained, taking it literally.

"Class.. if you would please.. settle down.." Selene was starting to lose control of the room. Someone was even trying to ask her a question after she'd specifically said she wasn't taking them until she was done with the lecture! She shook nervously as she ignored it and continued forward. "Our next slide is a natural form of a creature that, on its own, can inspire fear. Did you know many, many humans are deathly afraid of mice and rats? Why it's absolutely absurd! It's almost as silly as.. as if.. well, as if they were afraid of me!" Selene tittered at the thought. "Our own Professor Norvegicus is a rat. But he uses the already existing fear of rats to a whole new level, as his natural form has developed into a rodent that is the size of a human." "The sound of skittering, chattering, and other rodent sounds are impeccable tools for use with this natural form when trying to frighten. Despite his adorable complexion, many humans would be utterly incapacitated with fear upon seeing and hearing this before them. Unfortunately, there are some who would find it less fearful.. and attempt to exterminate him." Selene waited, for a moment, to see if anyone laughed at her 'joke'. No one did. "Ah-heh.. yes.. well.. moving on!"
