[FIELD TRIP] Indirect Visual Stimuli pg. 28: CLASS OVER

Jove nodded at the other boil quite enthusiastically. Yeah, he would love to be big except for those arms. The fear being given off by the humans felt like a high to the little pup, and he wanted nothing else but to happily rampage around like a giant badass T-Rex. Or even a littler but still badass raptor with his pack of K9 club around him.

He came close to smiling at the T-Rex impersonation, but Jove never really smiled much at anything. The amusement was mostly in his eyes.

He remained riveted for most of the movie, at one point climbing up to sit on his knees like the annoying child he was. It was a good thing they were at the back of the theatre. At the very end he gave the boil next to him another wide-eyed stare. That was AMAZING.

"All right children, if you'll all please get up in an orderly manner, pick up all the mess you've made and exit, single file, that's it-stop roaring please!!"

Selene's scarelings were a noisy, messy bunch.

She led them out of the theatre, admonishing them as they tried to touch humans, or threatened to eat them. She herself wasn't doing much of a job of keeping anyone quiet and undercover - even herself.

"No tasting humans, Jericho - Sibyl stop poking that humans dress! Everyone please just.. jusssssst.. outside, let's go! I'm so sorry miss, here have a parchment bill for your trouble-"

The small girl Sibyl had poked had never seen a hundred dollar bill before.

Andrew’s face turned an interesting shade of red. “Ahh sounds like a fair trade.” He wasn’t exactly sure how she would manage that, but… he could figure out how to deal with the fire thing. It would take some practice but he was already working with his natural abilities anyway.

“You still have some stuff in your hair, here. Let me get that.” He reached up and brushed away the rest of the human food from her head.

Oh they were going? Andrew got up and took Olivia’s hand again. Single file his tail… err missing tail. “I wonder what human tastes like. I hear that demons used to take their souls… I wonder if those are edible.” he mused mostly to Olivia. Now wasn’t the time to try one… but the FEAR in the air was quiet pleasant.

"Suit yourself," Nuk replied, shrugging a little when Taima rejected his offer of popcorn. Instead, he followed the rest of the students inside, sat down, and watched the movie, his feet propped up on the human's seat in front of him.

And when it was done, the skinwalker got up and started to follow the rest of the students out, complaining loudly that he knew it was a chick flick, and how that movie sucked.

He had to maintain his macho exterior, ok?

Steff had actually enjoyed this movie! It was intoxicating, the way these humans feared what they had paid to see. Was that on purpose?

Did humans like being scared?

These questions boiled in her head as the movie drew to a close, cheering for the dinosaurs and booing the humans. BOOHISS. They deserved to be eated. Although that was a bit weird; if the dinosaurs were monsters, how would they get their FEAR now?

Steffani briefly considered the idea that the monsters drew on the fear in the theater, but that was silly.

It wasn't real. They weren't really there.

As they were all ushered outside, Steffani couldn't help regarding someone's shiny dress. It wasn't half bad! Of course the other humans were giving that weird kid the stink eye, but Steff thought it was quite fabulous. Hmmm....

In the background she heard Selene admonish another student for touching the humans and decided against feeling up the girl's dress. Ahem. Outside, then. She went out in to the cool night air, looking around curiously. "That'd been an interesting movie." She noted idly.

Exiting the theatre as a group was a challenge, but eventually, Selene managed to get each and every one of her scarelings outside. She counted heads to be sure, and then shuffled them off down the street. Luckily, it was easier to retrace steps back to the graveyard - and even more luckily, the old man was gone.

With a flick of her wrist, Selene called forth something that had the gravestones shifting, and the doors to their world flipped open. She turned around, and pointed both of her hands towards it.

"All right! Everybody inside now! Let's go.. no dawdling, we don't need another incident."

She might have caught Nukpana's eyes for a moment, but instantly looked away, blushing as red as a beet in embarrassment.

THE OOC

Back to Halloweentown you go! You know the drill, black swirling, falling, yada yada, and you return to your belongings and those we were left behind! Please continue to interact for a bit while we wait for everyone to return, and tomorrow will HOPEFULLY BE AN ACTUAL WRAP UP GASP!

As a whole, the movie and events were rather uneventful for the faerie. He'd eaten the stale popcorn that didn't taste good at all, and the sweets were lacking in the whole 'sweet' factor. Mostly the sweets just tasted... sour.

Sighing as he glanced at Professor Selene, Marosa slouched. Weren't they trying not to attract attention? Without waiting for anyone else, the faerie walked to the gravestones and through back to Halloween.

The movie was interesting enough. Molan had sort of drowned out the chaos around him, and his friends... for the sake of leaving them be. Otherwise Andrew would have had more popcorn flicked in his general direction. So doing as instructed, which meant studying the humans, was the best course of action. And avoiding letting the movie spook him.

Not that it was scary. They just a few good times when something leaped out. Which worked beautifully on the people really. Honestly, by the end of it and all the shrieks the theater was quite the enjoyable little place for him and the rest of the class most likely. He did manage to follow instruction and leave the area mostly clean as he left. Minus that popcorn explosion. Poor staff. They just didn't have time to clean it all up.

And then back up the street, to the portal. During the process he did make certain that Olivia didn't get lost. Not that he thought Andrew was going to let her, seeing as he'd been a cling-on since realizing no fire meant less screams. Tsk tsk. Taking advantage of the situation. Still, onward and out. A quick smile to Olivia, and a scornful look for Andrew. Oh and quickly returning the leftover money to Selene. With that he was quickly stepping into the portal and enjoying another trip through the twilight zone. Not quite as gracefully as last time. He stumbled a few steps before managing to regain his balance and dust himself off again. And then a thought occurred.

Home.

Pin. Off. Now.

And with that he quickly worked at the thing until he came loose, reversing the changes from earlier. And... oh the world was a better place. His slightly foul mood was picked up five levels as he realized his tail and bells were back. Yes, yes being in Halloween was better where he didn't have to pretend to be some human. Or wear what appeared to be ghoul's clothes. He quickly took stock of his tail, making sure not a single strand of fur was out of place before letting out a sigh. Yes, this was better.

And then he realized something. Those candies? He still had them. "Huh.." Eyes fell to the boxes he'd accidentally wandered through the portal holding. Mints and Milk Duds... well they wouldn't last too long probably. Probably dust or something soon. Not that they weren't dust to begin with. "I didn't realize human food would even make it through the portal..."

Akubi was glad that the movie ended before it overstayed its welcome but on the other hand the ending was a bit of a copout he felt. Seeing as the dinos should have just eaten everything ever. Smart dinosaurs didn't leave victims behind, he felt.

The dinosaurs were very inefficient with the use of their prey.

When it was time to leave he simply got up and shuffled his way on out and followed everyone back straying back with Poke and Riyo as per usual for him on this trip, "That was fun. I think I even saw Riyo smile~, such a sweet kitten," Akubi said with a smug purr.

Hey. He let her enjoy her moment. Now it was time for him to get back to work. For the most part he was sort of paying attention to anything the Professor was telling them to do, meaning he didn't get lost and he queued up when needed.

Olivia wasn't too sure what kind of response to give to Andrew's inquiries. Though, part of her wondered if they tasted as bad as the food they apparently ate, like the box of sour patch kids that had at some point fell from her lap and under her seat and thus forgotten. So, there was no cleaning up her own mess and especially not the bits that had fallen into her hair; which garnered another smile for Andrew in thanks for flicking them out. The ghoul had had no idea how much had actually attached to her. Nor that there were a few pieces that had gone down her shirt; they were realized when she stood up and she felt them travel down her back. Rather disturbing really.

But all pushed aside as the group traveled out of the theater and the route they had taken to get their in the first place. They were going home and her hand was in Andrew's. Pleasant thoughts all around, even as a pout threatened to form on her lips once again as Molan denied holding her hand once again! Even with her more obvious grabby hands! The whole way too! Even through the portal like last time and that familiar feeling.

As quickly as the others had pulled off their pins, Olivia hesitated with hers. Her peachy colored fingers hold onto it, yet still not a pull. Her eyes going from the back of her palm and then down to her other hand still entwined with Andrew's. If she took it off ... should she take it off now? Or... let go? What would happen? (Well, Olivia had a feeling she knew already, but she didn't like it).

Molan’s glare went ignored. Olivia clearly was trying to hold Molan’s hand too, and Andrew didn’t mind but Molan wasn’t having any of it. Andrew sort of understood. He wouldn’t normally go this long with holding hands with anyone, except in this case he knew there would be no opportunity later. He choose to seize the moment while he could. Molan had the luxury of waiting.

Andrew did take the opportunity to glance around afterwards, looking at the human world, but followed the group. He didn’t mind the portal but was thankful the human in the graveyard was gone. He only slowed to a stop when they go back to the school ground. Others were ripping of their pins almost immediately, and part of him longed to join them. His own form was much preferred. However…

“You can take yours off.” He didn’t mind, though he was already starting to feel a little cold from going back outside. He tried to ignore the shivers and the uncomfortable feeling of goose bumps on his arms. It was a weird reaction. The sweat in the palm of his hand was also very uncomfortable. But he would bear it.

Riyo had also been a bit disappointed in the end. Why were there humans still alive? Why hadn't the dinosaurs eaten them too?

Maybe... Maybe they let some of them live to repopulate the idiot humans who would dare to come back to their island. Perhaps they were smarter than originally proposed. Let the feline think that. It would help her sleep at night.

As they were herded back towards the portal, Riyo kept her eyes on the humans they passed, happily imagining velociraptors raiding the theater. Wishful thinking, she supposed. "Hey Poke. You're a dragon. You're big enough to munch on these peons. Why don't you?" Maybe they taste bad. It was a possibility.

Then Akubi opened his dumb mouth again. "W-what?!" She vaguely remembered being called that when she was very little, and it made her cheeks redden. "I'm not sweet, and I'm certainly not a kitten!" She could neither confirm nor deny if she smiled. If she did, it wasn't consciously.

There was the feeling of satisfaction in the air as the movie ended, though it was more from the ambient feeling of fresh FEAR in the air then it was from the movie itself. Did she enjoy it? Meh, it was alright. The dinos looked pretty cool, and she did find the human in the suits death to be slightly humorous.

As they were walking out of the theater, Poke chuckled at the memory of Riyo being so happy. "Mmm, I think she did too. Though I think she would be just a sweet as those raptors."

And then....ohhh Jack. That question popped up. Out of all things, all things to be asked, the feline had picked the one thing that she did not want to talk about. If the dragon ghoul wasn't inwardly grimacing, she would of found the coincidence amazing.

However, it wasn't something to panic about. She had a very good cop-out. "Because I would be arrested by the boogeymen and thrown into jail, stupid." She grumbled, folding her arms and looking straight ahead in her attempt to be nonchalant.

The falling was still uncomfortable and, well, let's face it: once doesn't make you an expert. So when Steffani went through again, there she was, tumbling and falling until suddenly--

Ow!

Butt-first landing, ladies and gentlemen. Grimacing, the Patchwork got up, brushing herself off and going to collect her things. It'd been a fun trip, no doubt, but she was much happier to be at home. The air didn't smell funny and humans weren't likely to pop up and cause mayhem like the ones in the movie.

Sheesh. If it wasn't for the dinosaur at the end they'd be screwed.

Steff lingered on the outer edge of the trees, looking around as everyone came out through the tree again, back from their journey.
