Rust sighed in relief at Estelle's mother's answer. When the woman left the room, he looked at Estelle as she fell back onto the bed with a puff . Rust thought in silence for a moment. Something seriously wrong was going on, and her mother knew something, but she was still protecting her husband by keeping it a secret. Yet she wanted to protect her daughter as well, and asked him to make it so. Something very bog was happening, and it gave Rust chills. He blinked, realizing he had been staring at Estelle as he thought and he gave a smile, laying next to her on his stomach, "I'm not sure I know myself, but whatever the case, we are leaving tonight."

Estelle drew in a long breath, and when she exhaled it was shaky. She stared at the ceiling for a moment, the intricate designs and pictures that were painting on the pitched roof, like a cathedral. When she was younger, she'd like to pretend the ceiling was a whole other world she could slip into and explore. Right now, she'd like to take Rust with her into that whole other world. Snapping back to reality, she looked over to see Rust gazing at her, his eyes intense. She sat up a little, propping herself up on her elbows. "O-okay... it's just... I've never seen my mother act that way. It's weird." Estelle blinked, thinking back to how her mother used to be when she was a child: so carefree and loving. She was so much different now. What was going on?

Rust wished he could sympathize, but he had been so long without his mother, he did not have anything to compare it to. He was still a boy when he last saw his mother, and he had been too young to really understand the complexity of adulthood. He tried to find something encouraging to say, but he had not a clue as to what. Finally, he sighed, "She is just worried about you. You're not her little girl anymore, and she knows it." He sucked in his bottom lip, at a loss for words again. Instead of trying to find what to say next, he dropped his head, his face meeting the blankets with a flumf.

Estelle thought for a moment about what he said. Oddly enough, she hadn't thought about that before. After all, she was almost eighteen, and her mother wasn't an idiot, and... maybe she did still care about her. A small bit of happiness spread its way into Estelle's heart and mind the more she pondered about it, and she turned to look at Rust with a small giggle. "I'm sure whatever happens, everything will be fine in the end." She said, regaining her thorough optimism and kissing Rust's shoulder, lying down so that her body was right next to his.

Rust turned his head to look at Estelle, a soft smile on his face. When she lay next to him, he scooted closer and rested his head on her shoulder, finding it very comfortable. "Things do have a way of working themselves out, as long as we just keep up our best." He said this softly, but with confidence. He looked up at her briefly, reassuringly, then settled back on his new designated pillow and closed his eyes. there was nothing left to do now but wait for sundown and whatever lay ahead. It did not take long for Rust to fall asleep, pulling his arm up and wrapping it around Estelle's middle, as if she were a giant teddy bear. Perhaps now, he could get some real sleep.

Estelle smiled, feeling suddenly perfectly content. Although she knew what was still awaiting them tonight, she had confidence that after they left they could face anything with bravery and courage. It was an assurance she had never felt before; it helped that she knew now her mother really did care about her. As for her father, well, that was another story that she would have to find out some day in the future... Estelle wasn't too sleepy, so she stayed awake for a little while, enjoying the feeling of Rust's arms around hers.

((Good idea^^))

Gen arrived back at the manor when she said she would, patting Goliath fondly and striding in without knocking. She made her way to Thomas' office, figuring he would be there. She was ready for the next collection, as were the spirits. They were already in the manor, circling the corners of the rooms and peeking out from under wardrobes and desks. "Oh Tommy boy! Are we ready?"

IN the room with Estelle, Rust had slept so soundly, no longer plagued by the nightmares from the night before. Hearing the breathing and heartbeat of Estelle soothed him, and when he woke up, he felt he had gotten a better rest than he had in a long while. He blinked up at her, wondering if she was still awake and how long he had slept.

Estelle had fallen asleep for about an hour, but would wake up occasionally to make sure everything was safe and sound. She couldn't tell why exactly, but as the day wore on, it felt like the room was getting darker, and colder, and it was strange to her. Though she felt this uneasiness for the evening to come, she was pleased to see Rust was sleeping peacefully.
When he woke up, she turned over and looked at him with a smile. "You slept for most of the day," she said, answering the question in his eyes. "By the way, you're really quite adorable when you sleep." Estelle couldn't help but to add, her eyes glittering in the dim light.

Thomas' day had been nothing but paperwork; he'd almost forgotten about the debt he still owed at the end of the day. So he gave quite a start when Gen arrived promptly when she said she would, the shadows swarming his house like flies. He looked at the woman with his dark green eyes, a plain look on his face that said "let's get this over with." He watched as shadows flooded over his walls, and his precious antique furniture. He said nothing of it (he wasn't in any mood to complain), and rose to his feet like the tired old man he was.
"This is the last for the boy, correct? My wife persuaded one of the maids to help us out; tell your spirits they can take all of the maid, if they so desire." Thomas was stretching the truth of course; his wife had persuaded the woman only after she was begging and pleading to be spared. At the end of it, however, the maid gave in, saying she would gladly give her life to help out their family. These people can be so loyal, Thomas had thought, shaking his head.

Gen loved the affect she and her ghosties had on the man. She smiled, answering his inquiry, "Should suffice. And then your debts are paid, at least to the spirit world. There is still the matter of my payment for making the transaction to begin with." She reminded him. "But you can worry about that after the session. Shall we fetch our little blood bank?"

Rust felt his face grow warm with blush at Estelle's comment. "Yeah, well the same can be said for you my dear." was his come back as he sat up and rubbed his eyes.

Thomas exhaled slowly as he headed for the door. He felt a little relieved that his debt-paying with the spirits would be over soon; dealing with blood was a tricky matter he should have never gotten into in the first place. Not to mention, his wife's incessant nagging about it 24/7... With a grunt that probably meant "let's go", Thomas lead her through the elevator and down the hall to where Estelle's room was.
At first, he was hesitant. Should he knock? Should he ignore all sense of courtesy and walk right in? His mind feeling like mush, he did a combination of the two.

Estelle barely had a moment to react to the knock before her father strode into the room, looking rather flustered. She quickly got to her feet, praying he wouldn't yell at her for sitting in the same bed as a boy. Though this was her fear, Thomas didn't react and merely eyed Rust with distaste. "You ready, mutt?"
Anger shot through Estelle like an explosive. How dare he talk to him that way when he was willing to pay off his stupid debt! His father really was a coward. It took a lot of willpower for Estelle to keep her mouth shut. She clung to Rust's side, however, still not wanting him to go.

Rust sat up when he heard the knock, his heart skipping a beat. When Thomas came in, his fears were realized. He swallowed the lump in his throat and nodded, showing no fear. "How many times are we going to do this?" He asked as he came off of the bed and walked towards the door. Before he passed Estelle he took her hand and gave her a kiss. When he pulled away, he whispered, "See if you can't get that lock undone quietly before I get back. I love you." he pulled away and faced Thomas and the demon woman.

Estelle's brows creased in worry and fear; she didn't want him to go, but now she supposed all she could do was hope that his plan would succeed.

Thomas folded his arms impatiently, but answered. "Just this one more time," he replied, eyeing his daughter warily as she received the kiss. How could she fall in love with such a creature? It baffled him, but his wife apparently felt differently about the whole situation. Thomas sighed. He was willing to bend his own rules to make his family happy, but how much was he willing to go?

Estelle nodded, not wanting to let go, but he pulled away before she could say anything. She hung her head and sat back against the bed. All there was left to do was hope and pray.

Rust followed the two back through the house and down to the basement silently. As much as he showed confidence in front of Estelle, he was very much dreading what was to come. He only hoped his plan worked.

He entered the room, seeing the chains were still on place and took off his shirt, remembering what had happened to the last one, He allowed them to shackle him like before, already feeling his heart kick into high gear, shoving down the panic rising in his chest.

Gen Made sure the shackles were secured and backed away, beginning the incantation and calling the spirits to the feast. And so it went all over again, the dark shadows swarming around the boy's body.

Estelle watched as they left, shutting the door behind them. It still surprised her how her father could give her such a look and then not say a word. But then, she supposed, that's just how he was. Whimpering helplessly, she slid back onto the bed, trying to pace her breathing and relax. He'll be fine, he'll be fine, he'll be fine....

Thomas watched as the shadows took over once again, but steered his eyes away when they swarmed the boy's body. He had no pity for the kid, but there was something so wrong about dealing with blood. Alas, what had to be done had to be done, right? Thomas had to admit, he was eager for his debt to be paid and for the deal to be over with.

The feeding went very much like the last, ending when Gen saw the boy had lost enough, and the spirits held to their bargain. She called them off and they went back to hide in the corners of the room. "I'll go fetch the maid," Gen announced and turned to scale the steps.

Rust had fallen to his knees, only being held up by the chains at his wrist. He seemed to be unconscious, but heavily breathing. In his mind, he had given control to his stronger half, under the condition that he bide his time to get at Thomas when the man came to unshackle him. Rust was certain, that after this beating, the beast would be weak enough to take back control from when the time was right.
