that's crazy. But it sounds logical. What i want to know(please feel free to kill me if this has been done before) why does my husband give me the ridiculously illogical answer to things "I don't know" to things only HE WOULD KNOW! HE had a day off and I came home from work and said "so, what'd you do today? " A harmless question. I'm not mad, just curious. Who cares if he didn't take out the trash. But no, what is the answer.

The "I don't know" is an automatic response for when we're not thinking at the moment. Guys (well most) don't like to think that much so we put our brains on a sort of autopilot. Or he's suffering form a mild amnesia
