((Will))

The Satan Owl's hand rested supportingly on Serena's shoulder even as a waiter entered with the dinner entrees, again even though they hadn't verbally ordered. Again, the order matched what Serena wanted. Yes, Dante could be all optimistic and stuff and hope the children turned out nothing like Serena and Will. Neither of the two to-be parents were exactly normal or role models for people seeking to live a normal life.

Will looked at Dante and then Che and then bopped Che on the head. "No, you idiot. If Thomas weren't there, Lucien wouldn't have had the chance...and I'd have to call you an utter failure, more so than you are now." He nodded at Dante at keeping his identity hidden. "Of course, my lips are sealed as is this bunny's right here and Sebastian. If you require a disguise, I suggest you use a better mask or a better illusion that resembles a human face and hair. But if you can't handle that, I suppose I can help you with that. " Or maybe Sebastian would help...

The blonde narrowed his eyes at Che's response to him on food. He smirked. Of course he knew what Che meant. It didn't mean that Che was going to live forever just on Nutrigrains though. The kid still couldn't resist certain other things, especially free good food. "I sense jealousy..." Now, Will was just playing along with Che. He simply nodded to Che's description of Radiant and Phantom. They hadn't changed, although Will hadn't been aware it was due to Radiant's contract that Dante was back.

At that moment, there was a familiar sounding "Mrrr!" as a three headed hellhound the size of a large Doberman bounded in and ambushed Dante, knocking him over as the Cerbernator charged into the room. He was completely unexpected because he had actually dropped down as a little speck of black from a light at the side of the room by where Sebastian had been standing. The snake head at the end of Cerbs' tail wagged and slithered as it obviously stole an escargot from the table. Meanwhile, Cerbs was standing on top of Dante like a champion...

Dante shook his head a little at the small back and forth over who killed Che, Thomas or Lucien. "Well...Either way it doesn't matter what's done is done." He said as he lifted the champagne glass to his lips. He drank a little just as the sound of a rampaging creature caught his ears. He turned his head just as a small black bear...I mean Cerberus, crashed into his body. Dante fell to the floor, blinking a few times he looked up at the creature a bit confused. It took a few seconds before he realized who this thing actually was. Instantly Dante spit out the champagne that was in his mouth from the previous drink staring almost in disbelief at Cerberus. "Wow wow wow, what the f***?!" He said as he looked at Cerberus again. "You shrunk!" he tilted his head looking at Will. "What happened to the killing machine I made him? He use to be massive with rows of eyes and jagged teeth which dripped acidic saliva! What happened to all of that?" He asked as he pushed Cerberus off. He looked at the dog, sighing a little as he shook his head. "Have you changed any of the others? Maybe you've turned my succubi Lust soldiers into nuns? Maybe turned Phelygus into a tour guide for New York City? These creatures are Hell spawns they need to be the bane of human consciousness not just slightly above the normal standards!" Dante was always one to go above and beyond and he expected no less from the summons he had used while he was the successor to the Satan Owl.

((Serena))

Serena pulled a face at the choice of words Dante had used to describe her. Blushing Bride? Seriously? She withheld from saying anything in case she somehow insulted the man. Instead she smiled innocently and nodded her head “My lips are sealed~” Serena muttered with a small smile. The white haired woman rolled her eyes as both Che and Dante spoke about how the child may turn out like or how it may become someone completely different from herself and Will. Either way, it was far too soon to start making small assumptions or random guesses as to how the child will turn ou----Wait...Bunny? “….” Ah, Will had just called her by that name. How pleasant.

“Kitten….” Serena begun but forgot what she was supposed to be saying or what insult she was supposedly going to mutter as the food was brought in. The Vanishing Owl suddenly remembered how hungry she was and it was now rather difficult to pull her attention away from the delicious looking meal. She huffed out a puff of air and picked up her utensils before sampling the moist and tender chicken with a satisfied smile. While she ate she listened to the conversation taking place. A few insults were passed back and forth and a few smirks (some of which were lazy for they were Che’s) were exchanged. Well, one thing was for sure that this was one of those interesting dinner gatherings that take place once in a blue moon. She finished her current mouthful and took a small sip of her non-alcoholic drink.

Ah, but what would dinner be without a certain three headed dog making a grand entrance? With his trade make ‘Mrrr’ Cerberus had promptly bowled Dante over and then stood on the startled blonde like a twisted Lion King. Serena smiled and laughed softly as she watched Cerbs being his usual self. Soon enough her smile had faded when Dante began ranting and raving about demons and nuns? “Oh my….You do not like Cerberus?” The white haired woman muttered as her silver eyes gleamed with amusement. Apparently, the man didn’t like the current form Cerberus was in. But, it would be a hindrance for everyone if Cerbs had shown up in his giant form. “Perhaps you would have preferred ‘your’ version of him….Because that surely wouldn’t draw attention to this place and to you” She smiled and looked back to her meal “Ah, but I am sure you would have been able to hide away behind that masquerade mask of yours and fooled everyone.”

((Will))

Cerbs stared down at Dante with a goofy fanged grin and then shook his heads as Dante split champagne all over one of his faces. Then he got shoved off Dante. As if insulted (by the shove or Dante's comments), the hellhound increased in size slightly. The middle head opened its mouth to reveal many rows of razor sharp jagged teeth, which nearly dripped saliva onto Dante. The head opened wide and dove toward Dante and would have closed its jaws on Dante's head if Will hadn't stopped him. A drip of saliva burned away a small part of Dante's outer wear though. One of the other heads meanwhile had stolen and nommed up the black card Will had given Dante, leaving Dante penniless again. That hadn't gone unnoticed to Will.

"Cerbs, don't eat him. You're disappointed he died so easily too, eh?" The Satan Owl sighed. "Oh, my bad. You don't even remember him." He smirked. "Your soldiers? They were merely on loan to you." Even if Dante had been the Satan Owl's successor, full reign of hell was still Will's. Then came Dante's accusations. " Slightly above normal? Kid, what sort of question is that? Maybe I have. Maybe I haven't. Weren't you just supposedly there in hell to take a look at them? Oh, of course not. You were simply dreaming so you wouldn't know. You weren't dead, just dreaming." Will chuckled. "Hmm... but if you must know, some of the succubi are such good nuns..." A dark smile formed on Will's lips. "Of course, there are churches in name only...Mm.... I have many followers in the Vatican, but you don't need to know that. The numbers increase every day..." Will wasn't someone who needed to go full out to get the results he wanted because of his manipulation and expert mind tactics. The devil's eyes flashed. "If that's all you have to say to me, then you have not learned enough." "Hellspawn" did not "appear" as hellspawn on this plane normally for secrecy purposes. But when they did, they would never be in a state Dante couldn't comprehend. Part of the power over the human and Owl world was the whole myths and rumors factors and secrets. For a moment, the blonde devil's eyes met Sebastians and smiled ever so innocently. The reason was It was as Serena said. "Serena is correct....in everything she says. It seems your mind has dulled with your weight."

Dante walked back towards his chair pulling it back up into it's regular position he knelt down and began to pick up the pieces of the champagne glass. He looked up at Serena for a minute before laughing lightly, he then continued to pick up the glass shards. "The premise of your statement is flawed Serena, I did not summon him, and I did not choose to have him be here, never in my time have I ever summoned an infernal demon outside of battle, they are monsters that dwell in the darkest parts of the mind. Do not under mind my surprise for blind stupidity." he said as he picked up a few more pieces of the shattered cup. "As for that mask it's something I wore back when before my time as the successor to the Satan Owl, back in those days it wasn't wild to assume such an outfit, but I suppose you're right times have changed much sense then it is but a relic of a forgotten time now."

Dante looked up once more ad Cerberus made slight transformations back to the Cerberus he knew, Dante's eyes lit up slightly with interest at this sight. "Aw I missed you to Cerberus." He said with a sly smile towards the Guardian of Gluttony. "So Will hasn't turned you into a useless guard dog after all. Good I was hoping you'd still retain your former mind set." As he picked up another piece of glass he felt the familiar bite of Cerberus's acidic saliva. As well one of his pockets had been torn and the card Will had given him quickly devoured. "On loan or permanent they were mine justify it in anyway you see it, as I grew stronger you grew weaker, such is the cycle of the successor and predecessor." He picked up another fragment of glass. Upon hearing Will's explanation of Dante's previous state whatever it had been he found himself a bit amused by the thought of such a thing. "Then my dreams are as twisted as your's I'm afraid. But it looks as though we'll never know for certain, unless you expect to get the answer straight from Jeanne's mouth I'm afraid she's the only one who fully understands how her powers work." He finished picking up the shards of glass. Walking them over to an empty plate he gently placed them on it for someone to pick up later.

He looked back to Will who explained how succubi made for great nuns, this Dante found exceptionally funny. "Oh the irony what fun to think of the deception and corruption they spread." He looked at his clothes, a bit singed from the acidic saliva and his pants were torn slightly where Cerberus had stolen the card. "How unsightly." He said softly. He walked towards the corner of the room, out of sight from the peering eyes of the people outside. Raising his hand above his head as a soft black almost water like blackness fell from his hand over his body, creating a shadowy black space where he had once stood. After a few seconds the shadowy black energy retracted back into its point of origin leaving Dante standing where he was before, however this time he wore a fine black suit, the jacket was unbuttoned to reveal a dark red button down shirt underneath. He stepped forward letting out a small exhale. "Much better, I enjoy the comfort of casual clothes but these suit my personal taste much better." The clothes were a fabrication of his powers, much as the mask before was. As he walked back to the others he looked back towards Will, whose remaining comments hadn't escaped his notice.

"Ouch, be careful Will you may hurt my ego." He said in a feigned hurt voice. He smiled and placed his left hand into his pocket. "Will, you're wise, you're powerful, so why is it you under mind everyone around you? I've learned much, I am one of the best information brokers alive. Forgive my lesser moments of thought, being back has been somewhat of an adjustment, dead or not my consciousness believed for the past few years that I had indeed died. As for my mind I beg to differ, it is true my initial judgment seems to have taken a hit, as has my overall power from the lack of use but I can assure you my mind has endured. It is the people who we think of the least or the less who are the ones who surprise us the most." He retook his seat, resting his hand under his chin in the relaxed manner he had before a sly smile on his face. "We're playing the same mental game we did before and you're still as conniving as ever. Do not insult my intelligence, let's not turn such a lovely reunion into a mudslinging joke."

Che simply patted his hair down after Will bopped whatever sense he already had back into him. Of course that meant war and Che already had a way of striking back at the old Satan Owl. For now though, he couldn't very much dwell on that even though he would've loved too. Instead, he had to deal with the triangle banter that went on with the other three people present. The two blondes were going at it about who had the better nails, purse, hairstyle and who drove the better car. To Che, it was all honestly just a bother. Besides, Hell wasn't a place many people wanted to go yet the two seemed adamant on discussing who ran it better or used it's forces better. Serena's input was expected as she was carrying Will's kid, but still, the Mastering Owl figured she knew where this was heading.

"Guys. Guys...guys....please." the once God Owl successor intervened, "Please....you both did a bang up job with whatever it is you two are arguing about. Hell was it? I don't care. Let's just chill out, relax and try to enjoy both the moment and the fact we're all here to enjoy this moment okay?" Even the younger brother found it odd that he was playing peacekeeper between the two men...satan...guys. Like kids they went back and forth and Che, who'd had enough of dealing with kids for the moment, was just on the precipice of a headache he did not want. Sitting back into his seat again, the Owl muttered curses beneath his breath, all of which flowed out as one long, incomprehensible word. Looking at Cerberus, the three headed monster, Che just sighed acknowledging it as the source of it all. Looking away, he grumbled, "Just when I escape work, more of it seems to find me. Anything else we should talk about? More pleasantries to exchange? Because I have a woman that's going to scream me out the next time I see her. I'd like to get that out of the way as soon as possible."

((Serena))

“Hmm….Sure thing and yes, times have changed. The only time you need wear a mask would be at some masquerade or around Halloween perhaps…Of course, I may have missed out a few other events when one is required” Serena muttered with a sly smile, she wasn’t going to sink down a few levels and start arguing her point like a brat. She was growing bored of the banter that was currently taking place. Alas, things only got worse as Dante and Will continued to compare demons and power. Actually, Serena was quick to become lost amongst the sea of bicker. In fact Serena continued to nom on her food with carful etiquette and left the two men to talk amongst their selves. Thankfully, Che had the common sense to step in before something was said and blood was spilt. Although, surly that was not going to happen anyways…right?

The Vanishing Owl continued to ignore the chatter and sipped her fizzy drink quietly “Well now…This meal turned out to be anything but relaxing…” She thought as her eyes narrowed slightly. She smirked when Che mentioned about how some woman was meant to be screaming at him the next time he saw her. How interesting, the poor Mastering Owl was fine with hanging around two hell loving men but the thought of a screaming woman seemed to bother him. Well, that and apparently Sebastian….who for the most part had remained very well behaved. With a satisfied sigh, Serena pushed her meal away from herself. She had eaten enough and had spent that last few minutes pushing the contents around the plate.

Draining the last of her drink, Serena looked around the room once again. She still didn’t know these people well enough to make any sort of judgment. While Che seemed to most calm and apparently the most likely to be lazy, Dante seemed to be more animated and quick to anger…or defence. Both had their differences like any other human/Owl. The white haired woman sat up a little straighter in her chair and rested her hands on her lap. A few moments passed and she reached out to pat one of Cerberus’s heads fondly “Good boy~” She whispered with a half-smile.

((Will))

Will had to chuckle at Serena, Dante, and Che. Dante was taking things waaay too seriously. Che knew Will was really mostly messing with Dante's mind, but what the Satan Owl had said about nuns and succubi and the Vatican had been true. If Dante knew the mask was back in the times before he was successor to Satan, then he should have known it was poor choice to wear it now. Luckily, he was in Vegas though, and there were show people otherwise, the man would really have stood out as a sore thumb. Serena was right about that, no matter what Dante said. "Ah, brat, you fell for it. Again." Will smirked at Dante. Dante always fell for this tactic of Will's no matter how many times he encountered it. The devil was in fact hoping Dante wouldn't this time, but he had walked right into it. Will wasn't really arguing. The blonde devil bopped Che's head again. " We're not arguing. He is. " Of course Will knew about what Dante said about people.

Cerbs returned to his smaller form and whacked Dante with his tail before heading next to Serena and receiving her pat. For some reason, Cerbs had taken a liking to Serena. He sat down on the floor next to Serena and once again used his tail to steal some food...this time from Serena's plate.

Will smirked as he tossed another black card at Dante. "Don't lose it this time. " He patted Serena's shoulder. "Then off with you, Cheani. I have a woman who's about to kick me if I don't make it up to her tonight."

"It always takes two to argue Will." He countered as he stood up. He walked over to him and patted him on the shoulder. "Congratulations again on the child." He looked towards Serena. and said. "Yes, that about covered it, but I have always had a flare for the dramatics, it's unfortunate but true." He took the card and put it into his pocket. "Yes I will certainly try not to. Thanks." He looked back at Cerberus, the now moody dog to say the least. Dante smiled a bit, Cerberus was a favorite of his back when he still held his former title. He remembered using him on the Appalachian Mountains, oh what fun that was to summon two of his most powerful familiars to fight for him. He shook his head and then turned to Che. "Yes Che it might not be a good idea to keep her waiting. Women don't like to be ignored, or feel as though they're being ignored, just tell her that it's Radiant's fault that I'm still here." Technically it was Radiant, Roulin, Lucien, and Che's fault, Che made the pact, Radiant carried it out and Lucien and Roulin signed it. He looked back at Cerberus, walking over he patted the far right head, half expecting his hand to be bitten off, luckily for him though it wasn't. "Regardless of the words exchanged here it was nice to see you two, and it was a pleasure to meet you Serena. Stay safe everyone, coming back won't mean much if people start dropping like flies now."

Roulin's external didn't react to what he found when probing Erin's mind for memories. Occasionally, his eye would twitch, but that was the extent of it. From just his level of focus, he didn't notice that his hands were now up, but not fully extended. To an outsider, it would've seemed as though he was pressing against an invisible wall or even praying while Erin gave the good word. Mentally and somewhat physically, the young Owl was pressing against his barrier which did well in keeping Erin out. Jeannie's death, which echoed to him much like any other Owl's would have, threw the both of them off, but the degree by which the infraction interfered was about as significant as Amara's victim. Grinning, he found pleasure in knowing the girl was gone. He didn't hate her, but he told her this would happen sooner or later. "Hmph...that idiot b***h..."

When Erin shut Roulin out of her mind, the Owl of Life smiled uncharacteristically warmly. Like a thief only needing a few dollars, he took just what he needed and was thus satisfied with what he'd gathered from the girl. Her life as he was it wasn't a grand one. It was rather...sad even. From being created and tested upon to having her sister turn on her, things didn't seem to look up for the young telepath. Roulin knew he could use this to his advantage, but not in an antagonistic way as Erin and possibly anyone else would've expected. Opening his eyes to the girl, revealing what were now grey corneas, the Italian spoke in a strained tone, "My plan? What is your plan Erin? From what I've picked up from your memories...you don't seem to have one. You simply go with the flow...because anytime you choose to do something, it backfires. Horribly. Your blood manipulation is strong and deadly power...you only know the deadly aspect of it." And all the while the Owl poked and prodded at the girl's emotions, he wore his grin and kept his tone at level. Still, even in his wizened voice, he counted himself as unwise of the power of telepathy. If it worked how he thought, then the scene he was preparing for Erin would probably bring her to tears. Halving his eyes tiredly once more, Roulin finished off asking the telepath, "Do you even know what happiness is?"

When Roulin finally decided to answer her question, Erin was surprised by what he said. The portion about her memories was what struck her the most. She blinked for a brief moment, considering what the Life Owl said to her. This was the only outward indication she gave that his statements had affected her in any way. "So, what exactly did you see of my memories? Most likely enough to give you some sort of inkling to my perspective on life which would give you a reason to even bring something like my past up during your training session." Erin simply gave Roulin another one of her usual smiles to mask her emotions. It was a skill she knew quite well, and she would be shocked if anyone other than Elle could read through it. "A plan? Why would I need any sort of plan? The only thing close to a plan that I have now is to help you and the others defeat the Fallen Pheonix. There is also the matter of my own programming. You know that plan, and you also know that I have no intention of ever giving in to that aspect of myself." That was essentially Erin's plan in a nutshell. She planned to help stop the Fallen Pheonix and resist her programming along the way. She planned to resist said programming until the day she died. "As for happiness... Well, that's a tough question. I feel happy when I'm around the people that I care about. Knowing that they are happy in turn makes me happy."

Kate headed back to home that Will had been allowing everyone to stay in for the past several weeks. Instead of going anywhere near the brightly lit casino tables and games, the Eternity Owl headed back to her room. She didn't want to be around people right now. She wanted to be in someplace quiet. It would hopefully calm her nerves after the shock she had received when realizing that Dante was now back amongst the living. There were not that many ways a spirit could return to its original body from the Eternity Realm. But Kate knew about all of the,m. She had to as it was part of her job as the keeper of the forbidden door. If she didn't know about them, she wouldn't be able to prevent them from occurring or fix the problem if it did in fact occur. Once back at the room, Kate slammed the door shut behind her and locked it. Then, the pink haired Russian girl threw herself onto the bed and buried her face into one of the pillows. She knew Che would find her sooner or later. All she had to do was wait. The only problem with that was that her mind would wander and berate herself about this whole thing.

dragon-talk
Anya blinked once as the acid from her attack was swallowed up by a ball of shadow that shot past her arm from behind. Her eyes widened in surprise as she felt Nik's hand grab onto her and pull her back inside. She stumbled a bit to keep balance so she wouldn't fall onto the floor and drag Nik down with her. "Nik, what are you doing?" Anya said aloud, giving the Dancing Owl a slight glare when she heard what he had to say on this matter of her interfering with Amara and Jeannie. Anya scowled. "Do you expect me to just sit back and watch Amara get beaten to death?" she asked, pulling her arm free of his grip, still glaring at him. However, she knew he also had a point. This did seem quite personal between the two psychics. Maybe she had been too hasty to get involved, but it was just Anya's first instinct to jump in and help a friend.

That was when things outside on the balcony started to get nasty. Not being a telepath herself, Anya couldn't really understand what exactly Amara was doing to Jeannie, but it definitely did not look like anything she had ever seen before. Even though Anya had seen many people die due to her own poison abilities, and most of those deaths had looked similar to this, she found something about this more disturbing than those other times. Maybe it was because Amara was a telepath. Who knew. All Anya knew was that this was not a way she wanted to experience death if it ever came down to that. But despite the fact that the whole scene was very disturbing, Anya didn't even flinch when she saw the blows the Lucky Owl was dishing out onto Jeannie.

When it had ended and Amara gave her a thank you, Any blinked a little bit at the other girl's sudden change in mood after having just killed someone in that very painful manner. "You're welcome..." was all Anya could think of to say at the moment, just before Amara flew back up towards Lucien's room.

Nikolai watched as Amara essentially killed Jeannie without actually killing her. He thought he had seen something similar in a movie at some point but he put it out of his mind as Amara finished and floated away after thanking Anya. "Well, glad to see everything worked itself out." He turned and walked back inside the room, sighing lightly, the fight had certainly put a damper on the mood. Yawning lightly, he sat on the bed again and pushed the play button on his mp3 player. As the music began to play, Nik nodded his head lightly in time with the beat. He just hoped Anya wouldn't start yelling at him; it really wasn't their problem, so he figured they should just leave it alone. Anya always had to make everything her problem, it was like that on Exire, it was like that in New York, it was like that in South America, and so on. It kind of got on Nik's nerves after a little while, when she had always said it wasn't really her problem, she was trying to get away from it all, but could never stop herself from jumping in and helping.

Amara was still angry...she didn't know who she should be more angry with, Lucien...or herself...herself because she should have been more supportive earlier than now....that b***h Jeannie weaseled her way in between their relationship at just the right moment. Amara would be lying if she'd say she was more angry than hurt. Finally she reached her room, pulling out her card key she inserted the card and opened her door. The psion took off her coat throwing it on her bed and walking towards the bathroom.

Staring at her reflection in the mirror, she began to wipe her mascara off of her tear stained face. This was the second time she could remember crying. She needed someone to talk to...but...apart of her was too embarrassed to let anyone know what had happened. She then turned on the shower and let the water run, steam quickly filling the air and staining her mirror. She then turned on the iPod that was connected to a deck and played some meditating music she would need to relax and get her mind on fixed. As the sounds of melodious sounds filled the room, she stepped into the shower as she began to think about the good things in her life.

She now held no allegience to any organization, she had a beautiful son, a supportive sister....things could be much worse. Washing her hair, and rinsing off one final time, the psion turned off the water and stood there, taking deep breathes to come herself down. She stepped out on the towel, and then grabbed another towel, drying herself off. She needed to talk to someone...she could only think of one person...her "father", but thinking that he may be busy, she took a seat on the bed and looked out the window at the Vegas scenery. She couldn't wait till it darkened a little, it was so much prettier to look at. She would order some wine...perhaps get Aiden and spend some times with her baby.

Roulin's eyelids partly only slightly as Erin spoke to him. With a smirk, he kept silent for a moment as the girl went on with her short stream of questions. Amused now, the Owl of Grey nodded his head in a form of silent response to let her know that what he saw within the confines of her inorganic mind was just enough to maybe get him through the telepathic lesson without a hitch. "Your perspective on life, like many people's perspective on life, is shaped by your past. Sometimes they are happy although their lives have been complete trash while others more angry with the cards they've been dealt tend to lash out at the world," said Roulin in a low, strained mutter as his smirk began to fade into a flat line as serious as his tone. A smile was relinquished from the girl. Of course, thanks to Roulin's natural ability, her emotions betrayed the gesture's true purpose and with ease, he picked it apart like vultures would a dying carcass.

Her response to him dealing with the Fallen Phoenix only came across as a mumbled stream of syllables and punctuations. The Grey Owl's mind was elsewhere now and his lavender eyes which stared blankly through quivering slits at the telepathic female may have given that away. As she carried on and Roulin completed the final touches on his endgame, the young man nodded. Her answer as to what she knew about happiness was one that the empath could see coming from someone like her. Then again, she had an idea of what it was if she could copy it from others as she said she could. That form of happiness was better than no happiness at all. "I can tell you now Erin, I'm not happy at all. In fact, I am...pretty angry. Not at you though, but at other things." The Owls voice carried over almost as smooth as silk was to the touch. Where there was a fueled anger, there was now just a slight impatience with himself and the situation at hand. Rather than release the rage that was still there though onto the telepath's mind, he opted for a more reasonable route. One that may even jar the girl from her defenses.

As his finisher for this session, he reached out with his left hand to her. His arm trembled ever so weakly and daintily thanks to all of him mental capacity being forced into the unseen combat. He couldn't tell if Erin could see him or not, but it didn't stop him from moving. She was within his reach, so there would be no wasting this counterattack opportunity. Unlike Amara, he could send images into someone's mind, but he knew the mechanics of doing it with contact...somewhat. With this, he'd either fail and erase all their memories together, or succeed and be able to finally get up and leave. When the tips of his fingers met the girl's cold cheek, he was met with a sensation that he could only describe as a 'static shock'. Within moments, the scene of her laying a vast field of flowers and grass being tickled by him would commence without pause. The scene, as Roulin had planned it, would be her sight, her hearing, her smell, her taste and her touch as long as he remained in contact with her. The Italian grinned as into her mind, he injected the images, sights and sounds needed for the moment. If Erin didn't know what the real joy of true happiness was, she'd know what it would feel like to be tickled by a good, thankful friend.

The Colonel looked at Moli as he spoke. "Does it matter?!?!? Because of OWLS this country is the way it is now...I've heard about that...what's that place Janet? Oh yea...New Exhire or some crap like that...why in the hell...I mean...they claim to be the one's who want to a peaceful existence but they're taking this country by force...makes me sick...damn near the whole north east is OWL territory" he said. Soon the main course was brought out.

"We had no idea Aeon...are you sure you are an OWL? And if you are, have you tried not being an OWL? I mean we raised you to be normal" Janet said as she began to break the shell of the lobster. She was more "tactful" than her husband but was just as ignorant. "So you knew Moli? That she was an OWL? Are you an OWL? Did you make her partake in this lifestyle...I mean I'm not trying to be rude...but I'm concerned about my daughter, she doesn't need to live a life as dangerous as that" she said taking a sip of her wine. The whole time Aeon was silent listening to the bumbling ignorance that was pouring from her parents' mouths as of right now.

"Well, technically Colonel, it's people oppressing us Owls that have made the world how it is, but that isn't a talk I wish to have sir...I'm trying to keep the peace here." Moli acknowledged that it was the Exirians that were gobbling up the East Coast like a slice of American pie, but that didn't mean that all Owls shared the same mindset as them. That wasn't to say that. no Owl hadn't had the thought of world peace by force cross there mind, but by no means did he condone it. When the projector's mother spoke, Moli sighed, but kept his from rolling in their sockets tiredly. Doing that, he was sure, would only make this situation far more unstable. "I knew she was an Owl, yes, and you should've too. And no, I didn't make her enter this lifestyle. She did so of her own free will. To my understanding, she joined us to help fight...ummm....she joined us to help. There is no need to be concern alright? Not all Owls are crazy like those over the East Coast. I promise you two that they aren't."

"Can we just drop the subject please?" Aeon asked with a look of desperation to finish this dinner. She then began to partake of the lobster, enjoying the flavor. The tension, the awkwardness, there was no way of getting through this night peacefully or even transition from this subject that was bound to reoccur. "So I've been thinking mom and dad, I might become a writer, more than likely fiction and maybe start a series of cooking books and home care books, maybe tackle some interior design as well" she said to her parents as she began to eat once more.

"What?!?!? A writer...that's not sensible Aeon, you need to go back to college, matter of fact, we'll get you enrolled by the next semester, no need to thank us" The Colonel said. "So you're saying she freely left with you...Aeon isn't like that...we didn't raise her to be so lax and sway wherever the wind blows. So she's an OWL...what can she do Molly? What can you do?...and don't try to save him by butting in Aeon...I know what I'm doing" he said tearing into a piece of the lobster with his mouth, taking out a large portion, shell and meat filling his mouth. The colonel snapped his fingers demanding more wine as the waiter poured more into his glass as he downed some more wine. "Are you two having sex? What are your intentions with my daughter? Are you two thinking about marriage or anything?" he grilled Moli even more.
