Whelp... me, Muffin and two friends of ours(Mike and Mike, now will be known as Schwinger and Mike) went to see Spiderman 3. The movie theatre only had about 7 other people in there. xD That was a good time. Decent movie; not the best. Afterwards (Schwing and Mike came in the same car and had managed to park by me and Muffin) we were just kinda hanging out in the parking lot and talking. Screwin' around and generally having a good time.
Now, Schwinger is going into the psychology profession... or psychiatrist; I don't remember, and has been keeping in contact with a girl that lives in Canada (we live near the border) who is manic depressive and a bunch of other stuff, as well as extremely suicidal. He's called the Toronto Police 7 times in the last 2 months so she could be committed. She texted him, basically saying she was done. Back and forth, back and forth; he's stressed like crazy and he finally calls the TPD and they send out a car to go get her. Schwing then didn't hear from her for quite some time, so we're all worried... She left the house for a bit; she must've known he called the police.
During all this, I'm starting to shiver since the wind blowing was a bit cold and we all decide to maybe go to a place called Higher Grounds, which is a coffee house, but Mike didn't have much gas in his car, so we then decide on Denny's.
We picked the wrong one. Let's just say, they didn't have the most high-class people going there. They were understaffed, people were loud and obnoxious and we waited for forever for our table. We finally got one; Schwing got a call from his girlfriend, who had been at a concert, to say that her purse was stolen, along with multiple credit cards, her checking card and god knows what else.
We waited at least 30 minutes before someone asked us "Have you been taken care of?" No, we just like to sit here with the menus in front of us. It was another 15 minutes before we got our drinks. At this point, we're not as hungry as we were, and me, being incredibly tired already, was getting more and more irritated and the shitty service. Somebody told us we'd get 10% off our bill, because we were seated before another table, and they were taken care of first.
Another 15 goes by and we finally get our food(our food was stuff that'd take 5-10 minutes tops to fix up). I'm like... ******** this; I don't want this anymore. So... we eat what we cared for(let's face it, Denny's quality is questionable at best) and waited yet another 10 minutes for our check, only to receive the wrong one. We get our check... and we don't have the 10% like we were told we would.
What the ********. I was about ready to ask for a manager and just start bitching. But the combination of being exhausted and Muffin pleading with me to not make a scene and just leave and go home stopped me from doing so. Let me tell you, I had some choice words. >>
Mind you, all the while being concerned for Schwinger, his girlfriend, and the girl that's in Canada.
Needless to say, we aren't going to that Denny's any time soon again.
And, now that I've ranted your ears off... I feel a bit better. xD
