Looking up towards the snipers Lucien's eyes raced with thoughts. In an instant he had made up his mind. Shooting up towards them first he seemed to teleport up towards them. Appearing in front of them kneeling on the edge of the roof one of the snipers quickly turned his gun and fired a bullet at close range. The piece of high velocity metal tore into and through Lucien's chest sending him tumbling backwards off of the building. The snipers began to retake their positions on the rooftop, suddenly a small spark flew from where Lucien had stood, when the soldiers looked down they would see a white powder on the ground, the sparks were a sign, it was oxidizing. Oxidizing is another word for burning, exploding. In an instant the powder ignited blowing up the entirety of the rooftop disintegrating the snipers where they stood. Lucien's body tumbled to the ground, just before it did however it burst into a shapeless mass of mist which clung to the ground. As the foot soldiers clambered into the area Lucien's mist began to fill the air, lowering vision.
As the soldiers readied their guns they aimed down the sights, waiting for the slightest. A single wire traced unscene by the mist, it swirled before wrapping itself multiple times around a single soldier. Whipping him around like a wrecking ball the wire smashed the soldier into others, before dragging him along the ground and the side of a building. The wire became flaccid as it released the crumpled piece of meat. The soldiers picked themselves up as they began to spread out a bit. All the while Lucien reformed his body, but the mist remained, this was accomplished by not materializing his entire body, most of his internal organs and the lower half of his body hadn't reshaped yet. Lucien's upper half floated towards a soldier from behind swiping his wrist he released several wires which began to slice and tear through soldiers their screams could be heard from within the mist. The thunderous roar of a tank's main gun rang through the air, and tore through the mist in the area clearing it away to reveal the dismembered bodies. Lucien however was nowhere to be seen.
A spiral of mist rose from the ground, spinning violently as it reshaped the Death Owl. He stood with one arm stretched out towards the tank, it crackled with electricity, he took a note from Luca's book, the chain gun technique. As he aimed a sphere of condensed electrical energy spun in his hand. As the tank aimed and reloaded a shell Lucien didn't feel like waiting. He fired the sphere with the same force as a metal piece from Luca's Chaingun, it raced towards the tank, in a condensed beam like form. It raced until it smashed clean through the tank's massive main cannon barrel causing the vehicle to explode. Lucien watched as it raised a plume of black smoke which rose towards the ceiling. The training for now was over.

The blond Owl slowly made her way around the tables, looking at the games as they progressed in the usual way and fashion of most card games. Her curiosity got the best of her, watching two people who looked as if they were in the national poker league, there faces were stone and their eyes shifty. "Intense..." Looking away from that table, she noticed a lavender eyed man who seemed bored out of his mind while the others looked as if they were losing weight by the amount of sweat that poured from their bodies. Her curiosity and interest peaked, the behavior of the man was most unusual and she wanted to see why. Acelyn glided over to the table the man was at, manuvoring around till she came to the only open seat that was open. Sitting down slowly, the dealer dealt her two cards, then started his round.
Looking at her cards seemed to take forever as she peaked, showing no emotions to whether it was good or bad. In her mind she was happy, perfect even. Once she was done looking, she studied the man she had come over here for, who so happened to be right beside her. Her brain began to psych her out, social awkwardness seemed to take a hold. Slowly she leaned over, looking at the raven haired man. "You look dreadfully bored. Is it that bad?" She took some chips, pushing them forward for her bet. Money was never a problem for her, it was one of those things that never really bothered her since she was simple, needing only the basics. "It looks as if you got this table dying of extreme heat by the way they are acting." Just as she said that the couple to his left began to act strange, the woman fanning herself quickly and the man tugging on his collar as if it were over a hundred degrees.

"I thought I'd stop being so reckless with this money...oh well." Roulin went over his cup again swaying his hand over it's dripping brim causing the once idle ice cubes to chime against the glass once again. As it seemed, the game wasn't boring. That was only because he'd decided to play it big and bet a grand on the next two cards. He knew he'd already won. He had automatic blackjack thanks to the two face down cards, but the other for participants didn't need to know that did they? "Love this game..." Surely, if they gained wind that his hand was yet another winning hand, then they'd either quite or collapse from the exhaustion and the anticipation. "You guys...lighten up...there is air conditioning in this place if you can't feel it...." After moments of playing with it, Roulin finally took a a drink of the alcoholic beverage to his side and sighed as it went down with a burn.
"So much for speed. No, I'm not bored ma'am. Just not really enthused." Roulin didn't bat an eyelash to the feminine voice that echoed over the loud drum and bass tracks that played in the casino. Lavender eyes were still drawn to the red and white designs on the back of the card. This girl, whether or not she knew it, held the game up. Obviously, the dealer didn't mind as he still dealt the woman two cards. She must've either been a looker, or the dealer was simply uncaring to his players. "It's not me. It's just the cards really. I sat...they've lost. Can't explain that."

((Genya))
Four days ago, the Alchemist had just been in Las Vegas experimenting on whatever he was experimenting with and getting lost as usual by walking straight into Serena's room while awake and sleep walking in the night and blowing up the kitchen to Sebastian's dismay. Of course, Genya had not been aware he had blown up something in the kitchen in his sleepwalking adventures. Not even the pats from Sebastian woke the eighteen year old Owl up, and Sebastian was not even granted the satisfaction of freaking Genya out by sticking his head close to Genya's face because Genya never woke up. Miraculously, the kid hadn't woke up even when Sebastian carried him over to his room.
But now, Genya "the Fearless" Thorinagano was back home in Japan. But as luck would have it, Benkei had not found out yet....somehow. Thus, Naoki had also not found out....so those two were probably still trying to plan some rescue mission to "rescue" Genya from the Broken States of America. Not-so-little- Genya was currently in his room dusting it off and cleaning to reorganize his notes when he saw a tree sprout into existence like a giant and then shrink. Because there was a wall between the Thorinagano home and Will's estate, Genya couldn't see everything, but he did notice that enough of the tree to sense something was weird. "Ara? Did Albino-san get a tree mad?" The Thorinagano was not very acquainted with Freya, so he didn't realize that Freya was teh cause of the tree incident. The only time he had met her was at Daryle's wedding, the same wedding where Serena was making faces ont he computer screen at Freya.((NPC - Myra))
The fair Myra Bagarth, Sebastian's much younger counterpart and female interest had been taking care of matters at Will's estate in Japan while Sebastian was away. The woman had been the same person who had taken Erin and Freya to the country away from Spain when the tumult reached there because Sebastian had been catering to Will's whims. Unfortunately, Freya and Myra had not quite hit it off because Myra had been greeted with a hug from thorny rose bushes. Once they had arrived in Japan, Freya had apparently made it a point to annoy Myra. Myra was less than thrilled. The Satan Owl had lost a whole hot springs house on his grounds due to the conflicts. Things had gotten better or worse, depending on who it was the perspective was from. On this day (since Japan would be about noon or an hour later, Myra had arranged lunch. Other servants would bring the lunch dishes to the dining room, where the guests would eat whenever they turned up. Serena, of course, would take the meals in her room. Myra was now heading back to the kitchen to get food for herself. But instead of lunch, she was greeted with a completely trashed window and.... oh... her favorite dish set on the floor. There were two possible culprits, and only two! "TAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!" When she saw Sebastian, she was going to kill the man and punch him silly. In addition, what was with that random cat waltzing around the estate?!! Where did it come from? Cerbs was chasing it down, but failing at catching it. In fact, if Serena wanted to ask Cerbs what was up, the hell hound's excuse was possibly something along the lines of he had another kitty to play with... and it was practice for a certain other kitty whose name began with an R.((Will))
William DeScythe blew out a puff of smoke from his pipe and sighed. He was in Japan in his home to be exact...
CRASH, BANG, SMAAASH!!!
...and he had heard that smattering crash and then shattering music and then that loud Myra angry scream. That Freya.. she did have a bright mind and acted like a Cerberus. The blonde host knew exactly what had happened, but he wasn't going to say anything about it. He was not pleased with the Owls in Las Vegas.
Still the young 'uns weren't training as much as they should. Well, Will was keeping them on their toes, but they just weren't putting much effort into it themselves, and that meant they had already lost and given up, even though they would never admit it. Failure. Disappointment. Their problem. The Satan Owl was once again babysitting a whole group of Owls. Of course, Will had to point part of the blame at Noel for not motivating her Night Owls appropriately. Cheani was too lazy to motivate people himself. He relied too much on everyone else to think. Besides dropping traps on the others, the devil did actually engage in training on his own to keep fit as was his usual habit. Granted, finding worthy competition was a bit hard at times, but he had his ways.
On the past Thursday, he had personally taken Serena back to Japan and put her up at his home along with the Saxton family. The mansion had enough room. It was his after all, and it had everything people could dream of. He had then returned to Las Vegas, but he had come back to Japan the night before (Saturday in Japan, Friday in U.S.) to spend some more time with Serena since no one else was doing anything, and he had already made preparations on whatever plans he had to cover for everyone else.
Mysteriously, cookies seemed to appear in Serena's room, the good kind. Maybe it had something to do with some random ginger cat running around the house being chased by Cerbs. Whatever the case, Will hadn't done anything about it...besides steal some cookies to hide away to keep Serena from eating them all and gaining even more weight. In fact, he was bringing lunch to Serena now. With a short knock on Serena's room, the blonde let himself in. "Trees go poof these days. Must be because you've been munching on too many cookies."

The Alkaline Owl seemed to smile, but it was gone faster than it appeared, making you question if it was actually there or not. Her electric blue eyes shifted from the man next to her to the dealer, almost winking and making him falter. "Chance, Fate, or a card counter. I would say the first two, just to give you a benefit of the doubt." The woman turned her body towards the dealer, matching the man's bet.
"I can tell me being here has ruined your pace of play, but I think that will change." The two couples folded, done with even trying it seemed and left the table, leaving only the two of them. "Darn, my entertainment left." A slight giggle came out as she turned back towards the lavender eyed man. "By the way, your eyes... they are very excentric. Plus you aren't from around here. Your accent is close to mine. Italian, correct?" She watches as the man swirl his drink around, the clanking noise of the ice slowly started to be annoying to the woman.

"Chance huh? Same thing that sat you down here?" replied Roulin as the four other participants departed with their muses and mutterings of loss, cheats and other excuses. "Tell that to those batch of losers. Like I said, I just sat down and started winning." Roulin finished of his drink and waved down a waitress for another shot. Thanks to his ability to heal, he knew he wouldn't get drunk, but the burning that never seemed to die down was a reminder of what his life may have been like without the wonderful ability. "Ahhhh...." the Italian sighed after downing another shot. Looking at his cards once again, he looked over to the girl, his eyes lingering for a moment or two, then shook his mind free of the fleeting memory. "Hmph. A bunch of losers. Hopefully you won't go running off when you go broke as well."
"My accent? Heh, I've been told I sound like I'm from New York or something. Not from France like yourself. I am Italian, but that doesn't account for my so-called eccentric eyes." The Owl of Life gave another sigh as the dealer dealt out the woman's two cards. Unlike his entourage that'd just left on a whim, he didn't try to glance at her cards. If things were going to go on like they have been, he wouldn't have needed to. "I used to know a girl with a French accent. I do not know you lady, but you've reminded me of her. Thanks for that." And with the unwanted memory came another downing of his shot which burned ferociously as the red haired image in his mind did.

The woman laughed genuinely, almost forgetting the accent. "I was raised in France since I was 8. Italy for my first 8 years, the accent didn't stick." She watched him drink the light brown liquid that looked almost deadly to her, observing his movements. "I apologize. I can see the memory was a rough one." Her eyes moved to a waiter who was coming their way, a drink that didn't look as bad as the man's next to her was poised on a tray. As she glided by, Acelyn grabbed a drink quickly, turning around to examine it.
"I wouldn't worry about me being broke. You wouldn't know since you don't know me, just like I don't know you." The girl smelled the acoholic drink she just acquired, thinking of what it was before taking a sip and coming to the conclusion it was peach wine, her favorite when she did drink. "Mmm... I think I won this one. Not to upset your winning streak or anything." Her smile returned as she set down her drink, looking at the dealer. "You've been drinking for a while, your iron levels are much higher than most." She had talked low for the fact that a lady who didn't know this man sounded like a creep who knew his iron level somehow.

"Don't apologize to me. I'm not the one that needs it." Morosely, Roulin replied to the girl echoing a bit of his past outright. Whether or not she caught one wasn't his aim or goal. As random as everything else was, the young man could care less what she may have thought. His sentiments though, which were clearly expressed in his reply, only made it obvious to him that a part of him was still affected by the recent loss. His lavender eyes made there way to the girl once more, then forward to the dealer whom the french woman had just gave a diagnostic to. Smirking at the rather off-handed observation she made to the dealer, Roulin added, "You've been sweating for too long as well. You're beginning to stink..."
The Owl decided it was best not to ask how she knew what his iron levels were like. He'd met others like her and if this meeting went how he thought it would, he'd know in due time. "I'm not worried about you being broke. You're a woman in a casino. I think you'd be smart enough to bring something with you to lose to this place. And no, you didn't upset my streak. We both won. This guy has to pay us." And just like that, Roulin received his input double and so did the blonde next to him. After receiving his pay, he pushed his earnings over to her with a telekinetic nudge. "That's your's if you want it. You can pay for real peach flavored drinks and not the crap they serve you for free. Now, if you don't mind me asking, why're you here? You little observation there makes me think you belong in a doctor's office somewhere. Not here in Las Vegas."

"Ha! I wouldn't be caught dead in the same room as a doctor. Fixing what doesn't need to be fixed." The woman chugged down the rest of her drink like it was water, not even flinching from the burning sensation afterwords. She pushed her earnings and his to him, looking at him with eyes that looked as if they were made without a heart. "Take it. I don't need money of any kind. I didn't come to lose anything. Just came to relax." The girl seemed to be preoccupied by the empty glass, her eyes scanning every inch of it with extreme presicison. "By the sound of it you need it too."
Acelyn stood slowly, her stature sure wasn't as tall as everyone around her even with heels. Brushing off her dress and slowly standing up straight, her eyes finally gazed over at the man. "I would like to talk to you some more if that is okay? But not here. Your choice. The drinks and food are on me." She nodded a little, smiling a tad but ultimately you could tell it was fake. The girl began to walk off, not really caring if he followed or not. If he did, company for her, if he didn't, more free time. Win win situation for her mostly.

"Yeah, because that's there job. To break what's broken. I don't need doctors, so it's not my concern." Roulin rolled his eyes at the girl next to him, then finished off the last of his drink. Reflexively, he squinted as the burning sensation was almost acidic to the back of his throat now. From the amount he'd drunk already, the lining may have eroded, but once again his ability to heal kept him from scaring beyond repair. "You came to relax eh? Same. For the most part anyway," said the young man as he refused his next hand. "Couple of people I'm trying to avoid at the moment. An Owl such as yourself can understand. Right?"
After the girl stood from the stool, Roulin looked back up at the dealer with leveled, calm eyes. The man's eyes which were red with sweat just peered back conceding defeat with a nod. Roulin drew his chips to him with his ability and looked down at the blonde. After she made her request, Roulin's lips curved weakly as the thought of free food filled his aching mind. "It's fine with me. Being fed by a nameless person? Sounds like a nice evening to me. If you're paying though, I think I'll let you choose madame Fer."

Nik dove into the heated pool and then came up for air. His tinted goggles prevented the very bright lights from bothering him too much. The reflective properties of light on water had been the source of much annoyance for Nik. He listened to the music playing over his earphones; Nik had a pair of waterproof wireless earbuds that he could use while swimming, so while he couldn't use his big pair of headphones he could still listen to music. As he swam around, he noticed a familiar blue color standing out amongst the water. Cecilia was swimming about in the pool idly, but she looked like something was bothering her. He had known the cosmic owl for a while now, one could say they were friends, despite their minimal interaction. Nik quietly swam his way over to her and floated next to her as she swam backwards idly. "I'd say penny for your thoughts, but it looks like you've got a jar full of penny's worth of problems. How ya doing Cecilia?" Nik grinned lightly at the cosmic owl, hoping she would accept his company. He had seen people looking like this before, and he figured talking to her to try and help her out was the least he could do for his friend.

The blonde smirked, looking over her shoulder at the man. "Merci. The nameless factor is sorta like an adventure, a harmless one since we are trying to get away." She began walking again, her eyes straight forward till they got into the lobby. A fat man in a white cap and apron walked up to her, seeming to already know her.
"Ms. Acelyn! Sei bellissima! Posso ottenere qualcosa?"
"Sì, grazie. Un paio di piatti del vostro cibo milgliore." Once she gave her request, the chef smiled and hurried off, leaving Acelyn standing there and watching him scurry away. "Sweet man." She walked off to the elevator, pressing the button and waiting, turning to the man. "I guess since you know my name now it would only be fair if I knew yours? Also the chef will bring us food as soon as he can cook it." The elevator doors opened, signaling that their ride up was there. Stepping in and holding the door open, the girls face was blank once more.

Cecilia's ears were submerged in the water. Because of this and because of the fact that her eyes were closed, she didn't hear anyone come in the pool or dive into the water. It wasn't until she heard a very familiar voice, did she react and react she did. Upon hearing the voice of the Dancing Owl of Darkness, she began to flail about, losing her idle backstroke and completely submerged for a few seconds, the water swirling violently around her as she struggled to regain her composure. For a moment it seemed like Nik might have to rescue her, but after a few seconds of startled thrashing, she emerged, breaking through the surface of the chlorine laced water and wiped the water from her face, her cheeks burning with embarrassment. It was bad enough that her bikini was a little revealing. Cecilia, having some degree of modesty kicked herself for not wearing something that covered a bit more. Provided, she wasn't wearing a thong bikini, but the bottoms she did wear were revealing in their own right.
"God's nightgown, you scared the bejeezus outta me, Nik!" she cried after she caught her breath. "What exactly are you doing here?" Well, he obviously came here to swim. She was glad that water was streaming down her cheeks. The clear liquid hid the tears she had shed just a few moments before he came in here. With her serene swim being interrupted by the appearance of a fellow comrade, Cecilia lifted herself into the air and out of the pool and flew forward a few feet until her azure feet touched the cool floor. She shivered, the cold air hitting her body like a thousand icicles and her bikini was rather thin so...well you get the picture. She was just glad that her back was turned to her company. Activating a small pulse in her gravitational abilities, she summoned her towel towards her with a light gravitational pull and wrapped it around her physique to better hide the rather revealing bikini she wore. The Cosmic Owl then turned back to the Dancer who still seemed to be in the water. "What makes you think anything is wrong?" she asked tucking her damp silver tresses behind her sapphire pointed ears.

There was always something peaceful about being under the night sky, maybe it was the way the moon glowed, or maybe it was the way the night air blew, but regardless it was where the young owl stood. With the group in Vegas it was hard for the young witch Demios to commune with the world around him as such he frequently disappeared at night in order to escape into the nights darkness. Even now the owl was surrounded by the night air only a short distance from the base. He had made a few sigils that were placed in specific areas around him to dull the noise of the world around him. The young owl then pulled out an old violin and bow from what appeared to be a clearly damaged case, however for the cases condition the violin was in amazing shape. He stood in the silence for a moment before closing his eyes and visualizing the music he wanted to play. Seconds later he began and played the song he had visualized. It wasn't long before Demios had lost himself to the music, mentally visualizing all the things important to him. It wasn't hard for Demios to lose himself in music, for him music was an escape from life and one of the few things he never used his powers for. For him music was natural and over the years he had picked up the skills to play a few instruments. However, the violin was one he had only recently stumbled upon and fallen in love with. It wasn't long before the faces of his friends came to his mind and mixed with the music. For a moment his problems seemed far away. If one were to look in nearby trees there were birds that sat and watched him as if enjoying his music. The wind around him seemed to blow lightly and the plants nearby almost seemed to dance. In a sense it was like the area around him was regaining a magic to it that had been long since lost and forgotten. As the music continued Demios couldn't help but wish that life could always have the feeling he was experiencing now.

Nik was a little surprised at Cecilia's reaction to his question. He thought it may have been a little surprising, but not worth drowning over. He swam over to the edge of the pool after the cosmic owl flew out of it. He was about to apologize for interrupting her swim when asked a silly question. He shrugged lightly and continued floating for a moment then answered, "To answer your first question, I'm swimming. To answer the second one, I've known a lot people with a lot of different problems. I may have vision problems but I'm not blind to the obvious." He smiled lightly and continued, swimming to the edge and lifting himself up out of the pool, sitting on the edge of the pool and lightly moved his legs. "You look like you've got a billion different things to worry about, and I figured you could use some company." Nik leaned backwards and smiled at Cecilia, mentally chuckling at the cosmic owl's efforts to cover up her revealing swimsuit.
