I've read it, not impressed.
I've my own collection of fall-back fictive morphine that far exceeds that of Lemony Snicket.
Also, there seems to be an underlying point that isn't grasped, or perhaps I am not vocal enough. I don't want the weepy shite. What I want in fiction is...hard to explain really. Deaths can be both positive and negatives in the quality of an ending. But a story never really ends, or so my philosophy on literature follows.
But what am I to even discuss literature? I am merely but it's humble servant; clad in armored page and worn with ink. I am surely ignorant of what's good literature.
- To the eye of the beholder.

Yeah, people want to be amused with fiction, and we all know that "amuse" literally means "not thinking."
I prefer neutral endings to be truthful. They either have both sadness and joy or plain resolution that leaves the characters with something to ponder. Surprise endings are also enjoyable.

Brand spanking new. Been floating around in my mind a few days and now I'm just formulating a small piece of it to be expanded in ink later on.
Type samples first. Ink the rough outlines, plot, et cetera. Ink the "story". Type the refined draft (if it gets that far).
I take pride in the amount of journals I have filled with material. Lost count over 400 once, and that was some years ago. Worst part is, they're littered all around the study.

I am... rather bored today. Had a great conversation with a friend over PMs earlier today, and he hasn't been online for several hours and I miss it. I want to hear his replyyyyy....
*gluggles Yoder*
Edit: Whoa, flooded streets are fun, as long as it doesn't reach your house...

Ah, myriads of half-finsihed unorganized ideas. That's familiar territory, only with game ideas.
Wow, flooding is no fun.

Flooding is most excellent for fishing, no doubt.
That sounds shady, Cobalt! x3
If I had a dollar for each unfinished idea, I still wouldn't care cause we use Euros, haha. x3 But seriously, follow-through is such a damn pain in the buttocks.
