Depends on your work and which character. If you dress up like a STARS member to the office, then yes, and people will laugh at you, and your boss will kick you out if he's not an RE fan. However, if you dress up in a blue tube top and black miniskirt to... Aw hell, anywhere, then kudos to you!

Does it make you a noob if you don't know Barry's or Rebecca's last names?
PostPosted: Fri May 01, 2009 1:13 pm
Naturally. Rebecca starred in one game and co-starred in another. And Barry... Well, everyone knows Barry. He's our world's favorite (backstabbing, gun-toting, line-repeating) dad. xd

Does it make you a noob if you honestly want to name your child, male or female, after an RE character? (i.e., Chris Redfield [last name], Jill Valentine [last name]) Oh, and it can't be Leon. He already has a full name, no room for the last name. Sorry Leon, you lose... again. biggrin

Wait... So you want to change your child's last name too? Canas, I swear, if you do that, I'll beat you up. Think of the children. They'll be made fun of. It's the same as me calling my kid John Rambo or Luke Skywalker. It's the kind of stuff that can alienate your kid for his entire elementary and possibly high school career. If you wanna change your own name, that's your decision. But give the poor kid a chance.

Does it make you a noob if you bought the RE5 special Xbox 360, the red one, when you already had a perfectly working Xbox 360?
PostPosted: Sat May 02, 2009 8:46 am
Yes because it's RE5 and anything RE5 related is considered noobish and not Resident evil. razz and why buy another 360 anyway??? O.o

Does it make you a noob if you thought Wesker was still alive after the original best ending of Resident evil? (the PS version i mean)

Not what I'm saying at all. Like I said, Chris Redfield [last name]. The character's last name is the kid's middle name. xd

And I shouldn't be VC if RE5 is considered noobish, 'cause then you have a noobish VC. And the day I'm noobish is the day Mars is populated by man. RE is my lovechild. And 4 is like the redheaded stepchild that everyone abuses and beats up (aka, it sucks and I wanted to cry when Leon became a douche because my ears almost bled). [/minirant]

As for the question, hard to say. I guess it depends on how much you look into it. I mean, they show his dead body. However, they continually mention it, as if setting people up for a huge twist that he didn't die.
"What a horrible way to go..." or something like that.
And my personal favorite:
"He's sleeping with the ultimate failure!!" xd Oh Chris... heart

Does it make you a noob if you think Wesker could survive his demise in RE5? I'd prefer to hear an actual answer out of this, not "lolre5". Btw, since I know you don't care enough to look it up Bio, he gets shoved into a pit of lava then as Chris and Sheva escape, he latches onto the copter. So Chris and Sheva blast him with a rocket launcher apiece, hitting him as well as showering him in more lava.

Canas... Your noob points have gone way up since you pre-ordered RE5, so I expect to see at least SOME people on Mars.

And don't worry, you're not gonna get a "lolre5" answer, I'm gonna give you a "lolcrapcom" answer:
No, it doesn't make you a noob, because the writers of Capcom are retarded enough to pull something like that.

Here's one from the other thread that made me think:
Does it make you a noob if you don't care about Resident Evil's storyline?

...Okay, so liking RE's story makes me a noob? *puts on a noob T-shirt and waves a banner* biggrin

Depends. If you like the storyline that heavily involves the T-Virus, zombies, Umbrella, Progenitor, etc. like RE0-5 (one certain little "gem" excluded...), then of course not.

If you like that "gem", then yes. >_>

Does it make you a noob if you won't play a Resident Evil game despite its very RE story?
PostPosted: Sun May 03, 2009 1:19 am
Well, first of all RE5 isn't real RE, so liking its story is not the same as liking RE's story. And second, what makes you a noob is that one day you say, "Buying Imagine Babiez is higher on my priority list than RE5" then you tell someone, "Save yourself $60, don't buy this game," then less than a week later you say, "I pre-ordered the special edition."

And my question meant if you play RE with no regard for the story whatsoever. The whole series.

If the 'RE story' sucks, then no it doesn't make you a noob. Afterall, UC sucked, despite having Umbrella, T-Virus, Zombies, etc. And I'm staying the hell away from that. Same with RE5.

Does it make you a noob if you've never read any of the RE novels? Movie or Game based.

I would have to say no. I don't read any of the novels, but that's because I cna't finds palces that sell this stuff. I would locve to read them, but since I'm limited in a place where the english stuff they do sell is rare...So yeah no. Hwoever if they never knew tht such things existed...well I think that would qualify them as sort of one.

Does it make you a noob if you do an inaccrurate cosplay of a RE character?
PostPosted: Sun May 03, 2009 8:48 am
I would say yes. If you're gonna do a cosplay, you have to go all the way! biggrin

Does it make you a noob if you have RE... ahem... "pictures"...? sweatdrop

If it's monster and zombie and Wesker porn, then yes. ESPECIALLY if it's Wesker and Birkin stuff, that s**t's just wrong, I don't care about your 'personal lifestyles'. Also yes if it involves Sheva or Excella. Otherwise, enjoy your Jill Sandwich, Claire Soup and Rebecca... Umm... Donut?

Does it make you a noob if you try to connect other zombie movies to RE's canon? Like Land of the Dead, or some of the old school ones like NOTLD?
PostPosted: Mon May 04, 2009 1:58 am
I would have to say yes since some of those Zombie movies actually have no explination as to why they turned that way. (Talking about Dawn of the Dead) I mean the daughter in the beginning wasn't bitten, and I'm sure as hell know a virus air born can't get that far with out being dilutted, so she woudln't be abl eto turned into a zombie and eat the daddy, which almost bit the female protagonist. also something like 28days later wouldn't count since it's actually soemthing else, and also the zombies run fast, not like RE Zombies.

Jill Sandwich, Claire Soup, Rebecca Eclaire...I had to add that last part, since Donut doesn't do her justice. I mean she knows medical stuff you can't leave her out to dry. I would to include Sheva, but then someone like Bio would mouth off at me.

Does it make you a noob if you think voice actors for characters like Leon and Carlos are the same as before?

I wouldn't know or care, so it depends upon many trivial details so.. maybe it does.

Does it make you a n00b to know almost everything about the series, (key ALMOST) but you keep forgetting about the Ashfords? *doh doh doh!!!*
PostPosted: Mon May 04, 2009 4:19 am
No, since people forget about things every now and then. I highly doubt though that someoen knows almost everythign bout RE That would imply a lot, and also you would have to define almost everything.

Does it make you a noob if you think that Alfred Ashford is perfectly sane?

Alkaizer87

PostPosted: Mon May 04, 2009 12:25 pm
Yes. There is no question about it. Alfred is a total nutjob. He dresses and talks like his sister and sends letters to her when she's actually frozen in Antarctica. Anybody who thinks that his behavioral habits are of the norm, they need to revise their own lives a little bit. O_o

Does it make you a noob if you wish Billy Coen was in another game? Really, it wouldn't have hurt too much to have a cameo appearance in another game. : Especially since he was on a mission in Africa - which mind you is where the T Virus was found.
