Yeah poor Esme but the sum up of her background:
Esme was the socially awkward-shy type in an orphanage, and she was always teased. One time though, Claire stood up for her threatening "If you dont stop it,i will have you all turned into frogs"
so her and claire became best friends. The two were recruited into sin as laborers. But since Esme was good with strategies she was raised to work in that field. Claire on the other hand,didnt like being forced totdothings so she left when she was allowed to. The two still write to each other though, which are the mentioned letters in part 5.
Now days,Esme is more uptight about everything,but she cant stand up for herself. Add to it she is a bit innocent, and she becomes the center of Nicole's amusement.
....Poor girl xD

Lol she has Thomas to watch out for her though (even if he is younger), but she still gets targeted so often xD
