"You are the worst husband EVER!" she yelled after him, following closely and walking beside him. "Can't you at least pretend to be cordial while we're stuck in this marriage?"

After his tears finally stopped, Ben pulled back to examine his father, smiling tearfully. "Wh-why are you here? And disguised as Roy?" he finally asked, confused. "Not that I'm not happy you're back, I just don't get it."

"Nope." the demon repeated again, his arms folded behind his back.

Damian hesitated before looking away. "The real Roy's supposed to get married, see?" He nudged his head towards the window that overlooked the wedding setting. "Since I'm one of the head honchos up in Heaven now, I'm, uh... I'm not allowed to be around you and the family." His eyes narrowed with anger. "Stupid crap. They keep saying I'll get distracted and won't be able to train. They can say what they want, I'm going to have my family back. I mean, I got to talk to you, didn't I?" he asked and smiled at his son brightly. He reached out and ruffled Ben's silver hair before looking back at the window. "But your mom got married again, didn't she? Can't say I'm thrilled to find this out right when I come back, especially to the guy that killed me, but whatever makes her happy." The archangel sighed softly. "As for the Italian, or I guess Siren guy, I decided to take his place as king while he searches for the dames he loves. Your mom's married, so I can't exactly be with her again, but I'll be able to look after you all way better." After a pause, Damian looked his son in the eye, his expression suddenly turning serious. "Ben, don't tell your mom, okay?"

"B-but Mom HATES Armageddon!" he said, grabbing his father by the upper arms and shaking him slightly. "He's mean and abusive, and she married him because Roy gave them no choice. They haven't even consummated the marriage yet, and she has to sleep in one of the guest rooms because she refuses to sleep in the same room as him." Upon hearing his command, Ben's eyes grew even further confused. "Wait, what? Why can't she know you're back?"

"She doesn't?" Damian blinked, surprised by it. At the same time, however, he knew Myka wouldn't by that quick to leave him, and with Armageddon of all people. But why would Roy do it? "...Even if that's the case, I can't let your mom know I'm here. Whether I like it or not, Ben, I'm about to get married. I can't exactly run out since there's two kingdoms' fates on the line here, and I don't think I'd be able to stay focused on keeping this form if she knows who I am."

"But...you're already married," he said, tears again flying to his eyes. "You already have a family. Don't make another one." Ben shook his head, pulling away a bit. "That's not fair. You can't marry that cheap trick!"

"I won't make another family, I promise." Damian said, a hand on his heart. "I'm doing this because I have to, Ben. But don't worry, you live here, right? Anytime you want to see me I'll be here." he said with a bright smile. Inwardly, however, his thoughts were lingering towards a certain man with emerald eyes and an evil smile.

"It appears your wife has moved on fairly quickly." Damian remembered Erik mention. He even remembered what Erik did during that time, he was examining his fingernails nonchalantly as someone poured him a glass of wine. After Damian got over his astonishment, Erik looked up at him and smiled brightly. "She's marrying that man that killed you, Armageddon." He chuckled at the astonishment on Damian's face. "Oh yes, and she seems very happy. Her kids, too. That demon must be treating her well, sad to say."
Damian stared in disbelief for a while before looking down. "Then what was the point of me coming here?" He slammed his fists against the table, Erik didn't seem to take notice. "To be the goddamn Best Man?!"
Done inspecting his nails, the embodiment crossed his arms and looked at the forlorn silver-haired man, amusement showing on his thin grin. "You've lost your love, there's nothing I can do about that Damian. I'm truly sorry, but your reason for being here." He allowed the words to sink into the angel's mind and waited for him to settle before continuing. "It seems that marriage is in the air. Roy, as it turns out, has been in an arranged marriage since the day he was born, another reason for the kingdom to mourn its missing prince. The girls he loves are gone, to where, nobody knows. Because of that, Roy wants so badly to find them, but he's chained to marriage."
"So?"
Erik narrowed his eyes in disgruntlement from the interruption, but he went on. "So... I wanted you here so you could see the wedding. I'm not forcing you to do anything, you could say I was acting rather selfish. I wanted some company to the wedding, and I figured you would want to see your family again." Erik quickly put a hand to his mouth. "Oh! My deepest apologies, I forgot how awkward that would be with her being so happily married." He looked away shamefully for a second and let his fingers drum against his arm. "Quite a conundrum, isn't it? The woman you love married to the man you hate, and an old friend of ours being forced to marry someone while the ones he loves are out there somewhere. I wish there was something I could do, really I do." After a silent moment, Erik got up from his seat. "I'm sorry for burdening you with my troubles, it's not like you could do anything anyway. Anyways, I must be off, I have to go talk to a few people." Giving Damian one last smile, Erik walked away and left Damian with his thoughts.

I chose to take Roy's place, Damian thought to himself, It's really my fault, but Erik influenced me. The only question is, why? What could you accomplish by making me marry a princess, Erik?

rushing down the hall as she looked for any sign of Bennacio, Iris paused momentarily to take a breather. She'd finally gotten the princess ready, now the wedding could get started, if only she could find that knight!!!!

"I hate you and your a** face," muttered Myka to her husband as she sat in their assigned seat.

"But...you love Mom," he said quietly, remembering how heartbroken his mother had been in the years of his father's disappearance. "She loves you so much, Dad. This is...this is worse than leaving. I can't not tell her about you being back. She could get an annulment since they haven't had sex yet, and...and..." He bowed his head, trying to think of a way for this all to work. He brightened with an idea, then weakened once more. "Mom wouldn't dare demean the country by becoming the king's whore...but for you, I think she would."

"Funny, I was thinking the same thing, kid." the red-haired demon chuckled as he sat down with a grunt. He looked around the place and grunted again. "Fancy-a$$ sh_t. Fancy-Pants prince must have loads of money to throw away."

Damian placed a hand on Ben's head. "Don't call your mom a whore. That's what we call the French." he said with a smile and ruffled his son's hair. "We'll figure this out, Champ, but until then, she can't know about me. Promise?"

She rolled her eyes. "No duh, he's the Crown Prince. It's not like he's a peasant." Myla started to inspect her nails, sighing. "God, this is taking forever."

"Fine," he said reluctantly. "What do I do when she freaks out about you, then? I can't handle her panic attacks, what with you being so close."

"Prince of what? Karaoke fans?" snorted the demon. "Yeah, that deserves all the luxuries in the world."

"We'll cross that bridge when we come to it, kiddo." Damian assured. Before he could say anything else, a knock came at the door. As the door opened, the angel quickly shifted back into Roy and put on his lavender contacts. Bennacio walked in, dressed in his sharp yet knightly attire, a fretful look on his face.
"Sire! This is no time to play, you're almost late for the wedding!" the knight yelped and pulled the 'prince' up with quick speed. He looked Roy up and down and dusted off parts of his suit before getting behind him and pushing him towards the doorway. "Now if only we could find the princess. I had Ms. Iris take care of her, but I've yet to hear from her."

"Stop being such an idiot," she said, crossing her arms.

Ben stood and reached out for his father, unwilling to let him go so soon. "D- Roy!" Rushing forward, he wrapped his arms around "Roy" and hugging tightly. "G-good luck." After one last squeeze, he let go and raced off, sitting beside his mother and leaning on her. "Hey, Mom...and demon thing."
Myka sighed. "Ben, be nice to your stepfather."

"I would've found you sooner, if you had stayed in the place you told me you'd be!!" Iris panted as she came to a stop behind him. "I-I just finished g-getting her ready..... All that's left...." She paused, taking a second to catch her breath and fix her hair back into place. "All that's left is for someone to walk her prissy a** down the isle. And since she's an orphan, I nominate jr Captain America over there." She smiled, pointing to Ben.

Hearing Ben call out to him, Roy pushed Bennacio away long enough to hug him back. "Remember," he whispered into the silver-haired boy's ear as he rubbed his back comfortingly. "Whenever you want to see me, I'll be waiting." Giving one last smile to the boy, Roy turned back to Bennacio - unable to hold back a chuckle from the knight's look of disbelief from being pushed - then walked away with him in search for his bride-to-be.
The duo walked on for a minute before Iris' voice made them both jump. They turned around, Roy's expression that of surprise and Bennacio's relief. "The prince was not at the aisle already, so I had to bring him down myself!" the knight said in his defense. He took her suggestion into consideration, not seeming to notice Roy's eye twitch at the thought of Ben escorting a lady around, even if he was going to marry her. "Hmm.... That does seem like the only option available.... I agr-"
"Wait," Roy suddenly interrupted. "Orphan? Isn't she a princess? Doesn't she have a royal family or something? That's how royalty works, right?"

"You're the idiot." Armageddon grumbled under his breath as he folded his arms behind his head. He soon looked over to see the annoying boy that came from the annoying woman. "Well, well, if it isn't the patriotic brat." he snorted and looked away. He may be nice around his kids, but he couldn't care less about anyone else's kids.

"At least both my parents are still alive, and not half of them like your kids" he mumbled under his breath.
Myka gasped, smacking his arm. "Benjamin Damian Foster!"
Hearing his name, Ben stood and strode away to Iris, wrapping an arm around her waist and kissing her temple. "Hey, Auntie Iris. You realize I'm your dream guy yet?" Looking up at the knight and his father, the boy smiled. "I heard my name. What's up?"
