"Huh?" Damian stopped laughing and blinked at her. "Oh, yours is pretty good, but not everyone can have this beautiful mane of hair." he assured and flipped his hair, the gel causing only a few strands to swing with his head, and plenty of sparkles to shine again.

"Yes, but is that mane going to get you laid ever again?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.

That night, Myka lay on her side in the bed, staring out the window. She had tucked in the children, done most of the dishes, cleaned most of the house, and even showered and dressed for bed in her red silk pajamas. Settling the blanket at her waist, she sighed and blinked slowly. What a night, and she wasn't even tired.

"Well that party was pretty fun." Damian commented as he stepped out of the restroom, dressed in his own sleeping clothes which consisted of black boxers and a loose white tee. With a heave he jumped onto his side of the bed and folded his legs under his head. "It could use a football game, but hey, beggars can't be choosers." He turned his head and looked at his wife. "What'd you think of it?"

Naw man. It'd be creepy having characters keep saying my name.

"It was alright," she said quietly, standing and walking over to her vanity. She pulled off the remainder of her jewelry and, now wearing nothing but her wedding ring and her pajamas, stared into the mirror, breathing softly.

"Something wrong?" Damian asked and propped himself up on his elbows, tilting his head.

She sighed and shook her head, bending over and resting her forearms on the vanity. "I...I don't even know," Myka murmured, one hand sliding up to loosen her hair.

The bed creaked with weight change and soon Damian was standing besides Myka, bent over with a concerned look on his face. "Hey, what's wrong? You feeling dizzy? Had too much to drink?" he asked and gently put a hand on the small of her back to give it a comforting rub.

"Please. I only had one glass of wine and Ben ended up spilling it on the mayor," she laughed weakly, leaning on him and closing her eyes. "It's nothing, I'm just being silly."

"If you were silly than I'd be laughing." Damian pointed out as he kissed her temple. "C'mon, you know that I know when something's bugging you. Don't make me turn into a puppy and stare at you, because I will!"

Curling into him and taking a deep breath, she tried to relax in his strong arms. "My thoughts just made me a bit sad, is all. I don't want to think of this moment ending."

Damian smiled and wrapped his other arm around her to complete the embrace. "You've got Ben and Arwen's play to distract you." he suggested.

Oh Jesus, are we already coming to the ending?

"Don't remind me," she sighed, nuzzling his chest and relaxing fully against him. "Oh Damian...I love you so much," whispered the angel's wife, her eyes squeezed shut and her body starting to shake. "You can't even imagine how much I love you."

Damian gave her a look. Here she goes again, acting as if he'd disappear any minute now. "I love you too." he said while rubbing her back soothingly. "C'mon, let's get to bed. That director wants Ben and Arwen there early to make them rehearse all day. 'Course I'm not going to let my kids get worn out from that jerk." he mumbled the last part under his breath as he walked his wife back to the bed.
