Viceroy arrived at the scene of the battle at speed and promptly dropped Clancy to the ground.

KO jumped off his back, heart pounding, and hurled his Quick Ball as instructed.

Maybe it would be alright? Maybe they'd get out of this in one piece after all?

Jerome stood as Turret slowed upon reaching the battle field, wasting no time he threw the quick ball he had at the large deer.

Kyle drew up with Slender eventually, though having mostly run there took a moment to lean down on his knees and catch his breath.

Koios was still functioning well enough to serve as a mount - though nothing else - and thus Frost's progress was somewhat expedited, and as an added bonus he wasn't out of breath as they halted before the cornered Legendary.

Frost rose from his crouch, took his last Quick Ball from his pocket, and hurled it at Xerneas.

Clancy was dropped to the ground and fell to his hands and knees.
"Oh bloody 'ell I feel so bloody sick...!" He whined, blinking at the ground and trying to quell the spinning feeling he had in his head and his gut.
He looked up and blinked at the scene.
The lights from Xerneas did /not/ make him feel any better...
Something rolled out of one of the pockets on his stolen uniform... Oh! There was his quick ball...
Closing his eyes, so he didn't have to see the lights again, he half-heartedly threw the ball at the legendary before returning to his hands and knees, retching.

Tambrey hopped from Kois as soon as it was safe to do so, and moved cautiously toward the scene, calling out Ella as she did so.
She didn't have a quick ball to throw, having already thrown it earlier in the cave. She had normal pokéballs, but they'd be no use at all at this point.
"Get ready with a Protect, Ella..."

Adam felt and watched the world tilt as he fell, face first, and rolled. Dust billowed behind as the cave in ended. Thank god.. But more running. He followed the pack to where the two agents stood, trying to keep Xerneas pinned.

Pulling out his Quick Ball, he threw it at the legendary as soon as he was in throwing range.

Lex panted as he looked up, okay, Pokemon that could be ridden should be looked into. He looked at the legendary unsettled, lights bright and twisting and hissed, reaching up to feel the dampness of blood in his hair.

Great, it looks like he managed to possibly give himself a concussion in the earlier fall. He pulled out the quickball and held it up where anyone can see it. "Someone grab this thing and throw it... I can't aim worth s**t anymore."

He fumbled with his belt, managing to call out Spins, the Ariados on instant alert.

As they all miraculously made it out of the cave, Shadow only dared to open his eyes when he felt his feet touch the ground. The Elite Agents and Legendary pokemon were before him. He stared, slack-jawed for a moment before remembering what he had to do.

Taking out the Quick Ball he'd been given earlier as well as the one he'd gotten from Frost, the grunt hurled one at the Legendary a little after Adam's as back-up. He didn't want to think about what those little lights around the Fairy-type meant.

Having caught his breath enough, Kyle streightened up, catching sight of the Legendary Deer, he took a cautious step back, quickly grabbing the Quick Ball from his belt to throw it.

From the large number of quick balls thrown at every angle, preventing the legendary from dodging or deflecting them all, the first to reach its mark was KO's. Xerneas was drawn into the ball's light, and as evidence of its struggle, the sphere tossed and turned upon the ground. It was only a moment, however, before the quick ball stopped moving, having succeeded in its aim. With the disappearance of the region's god of life into the ball, an eerie stillness descended upon the area.

Rook, for one, continued to hold her breath even after it became apparently that they had avoided a confrontation. Once she began to come to terms with the fact that yes, it really could be that easy, she looked to the Rockets with an expression that was faintly perturbed. "We are getting out of here. Right now, before something comes along to ******** this up."
