what? give up my soul? but why my soul? she asked herself silently.
She looked at her brother and then back to the captain.
"How will I know if you will keep your promise...can't you just make some other deal with me? I mean, if you won't accept anything else...my soul..."
she looked at Darren. "Darren would not like that, especially since you are an old friend of his...I mean, I even remember you..."

"Darren, it's one life or thousands...could there be a way...that you got my soul...but I was still able to be with everyone...as a vampire?" she asked, almost regretfully.
"Why don't I give you my blood and my human life...instead of my soul..." Serene asked, almost regretfully.
