"And that's how Brad got his mechanical limbs, and Will changed into Slade." Alex sighed.

"...Wait..." She paused, batting her eyes before looking at King, the confused expression back on her face.
"What do you mean 'like how he acts to you'?"  

[Zahzi]

"He gave David all the space he wanted, was completely kind to him, and made sure he was constantly happy."

"...So because of what happened to Brad and Will, Slade thinks I'll turn into David if he treats me nicely?"  

[Zahzi]

"David shot Brad in the head and had a massive explosion erupt where he fell, making him fall into a Death Claw pit. Will was nearly shot to death by him and his friends, whom you know so fondly."

Alex then looked to the Statue of Liberty, as if she understood everything about Brad now.

"...Only people I know are the Regulators, you guys, and the Wolves..." She said softly.

"My Uncles aren't like that, you're telling the story in a different perspective, so it just leaves the Wolves..." She mumbled, before sighing.
"How deep in is he..?"  

[Zahzi]

"He leads them."

"...Is that why Slade refuses to let me be? Because David's leading them?"  

[Zahzi]

"That, and he feels personally responsible for failing his brother, and letting him slip back into madness..."

"Because I'm not like David!" Alex whined.

"I didn't have a traumatic life that threatens to make me snap! If anything, he's driving me to snap!"  

[Zahzi]

"I never said what Slade does is right....But it's all that he knows...All those scars you saw when you snuck into his room? All but a few are his reminders of his failure. There's a reason he has nothing reflective in there..."

Alex then looked at King as if he were God.

"...How'd you..?"  

[Zahzi]

"The way you acted. You're lucky he didn't pick up on it....."

"But you weren't even around!"  

[Zahzi]

"There were also the little spider bots watching."

"Why didn't they do anything to stop me or alert Slade?"
