Kabina ~Winged Fighters~

[Faulty Ambition]

A loud knocking sound penetrated the air of Kabina.
"Much as I love the new security system, could you let me in?"
The race at Tarlow Highlands had ended.
A black motorcycle sat parked, floating just outside the barrier to Kabina.
Its rider stood atop it, knocking on said barrier.
"Aki? It's Ansem! Could I come in?"  

[Kikuka]

Aki blinked and looked up from where she'd ben planting trees. Looking toward the barrier her face lit up and she carefully loosened the area near the gate to gel so he might slip through.

Standing she wiped the dirt from her knees and ran over to Ansem. "Ansem! Wow! What called you here?" She grinned, it'd been a while.  

[Faulty Ambition]

Ansem sat back down onto his motorcycle and drove through the gel-like barrier.
"I was in the general area, so I decided to stop by."
He grinned back.
"What happened here?"  

[Kikuka]

"Oh, you know those attacks from a while back? Happened here too. The guy had sentinent weapons, you know there's nearly no way to stop that." She gave a pained smile. "My cousins rebelled at the same time, with his funding." She knotted her fists in the cloth of her dress. "Destroyed everything, killed my parents. I'm ruler now." She forced the pain of loss away. "They all escaped, my cousins fled." She sighed.

"Luckily people have been helpful, they helped rebuild. I though leave buildings for later and get back to the gardens, keep the place pretty, right?" She tilted her head and gave a smile, but her green eyes were sad.  

[Faulty Ambition]

"Looks aren't always everything."
Ansem frowned softly.
"But I'm sure it is beautiful. Nothing but beauty come from your hands."
He grinned slightly.
"Even for a blind man like me."

beginner flew towards kabina and slwed down at the gates "will i be able to enter?"  

[Kikuka]

Aki shrugged sadly. "I suppose," She sighed, looking wearily at her tiny garden. "Hopefully I'll rebuild it all in time. I have centuries that hopefully won't be cut short like my parents."

Aki heard Beginner's call and motioned. The barrier before her became jelly like, allowing her passage through.  

[Faulty Ambition]

"It seems you have quite a few around here more than willing to help rebuild."
He grinned as he put his hand on her shoulder.
"And this garden shall be the cornerstone."

beginner glided in and landed softly getting out she walked to aki smiling softy "i did my best...sorry i didnt win for kabina"
only then did she notice ansem
"oh hello....you where in the race...what clan was that?"  

[Faulty Ambition]

"It was more of a personal favor than for my actual clan."
He grinned.
"I just couldn't resist another race."
He turned back to Aki.
"You remember that time we almost crashed into the palace when we were little? We had borrowed a pair of air skiffs..."
His grin streched wider still.  

[Kikuka]

Aki nodded in solem agreement with Ansem when Beginner came beside her. Aki gave a kind smile. "You did well." She encouraged. "Not everything in life is of winning."

Then she grinned. "Ansem, you could never resist any race." She joked. Constantly when they were little he never stopped declaring that he'd one day beat her and her wings. She gave a soft chuckle as she remembered that one race had gone ary.

the race was for clan representives only...thats why erk couldnt enter...
beginner smiled
"how is the rebuilding dcoming along?"  

[Faulty Ambition]

A small puff of black smoke erupted in front of Ansem.
From it fell a rolled piece of parchment.
The smoke cleared away and Ansem unrolled the parchment and began to read.  

[Kikuka]

"I've been replanting, it's been alright I suppose." Aki said, looking and gesturing over to where she'd been working and also to her dirt covered clothes.

Ansem picked up something at his feet and Aki looked over. "Ansem, what's that?" She frowned, normally things couldn't be sent when she had the barrier up.

 

[Faulty Ambition]

"It's a summons."
Ansem frowned at the parchment.
Someone who didn't know he was truly blind might say he was staring at it.
Whatever he was doing, it was with a look of shock.
"I has died."
His frown deepened as he reread the parment once again.
"And I've been elected the new I."
He turned to Aki.
"I'm a clan leader now."
