Seto finally managed to stop laughing when he realized he was somewhat pinned to the bed, without actually being touched, by the furious man whose livid face hung mere inches above his own. The vulnerability induced by the violation of his personal space was sufficient abatement to his current merriment. It's not that he was even worried about being struck, though he wouldn't put it past the hot-headed Jounouchi to forget that he was supposed to be taking care of Seto and actually do so. However, having taken about ten life times worth of beatings in just the past 24 hours, he wasn't all that fussed about physical pain. It was definitely the discomfort of Jounouchi being so close that was unnerving him. Though beyond the unusual quality of the situation (given that nobody but Mokuba had encroached upon that personal bubble in quite awhile) he really couldn't say why exactly this unsettled him so much. Hell, this wasn't even the first time in the past 24 hours Jounouchi had been this close, at times he'd been even closer.
That final realization was a bit more than Seto could take, and with a slight shove of the other man's chest he commanded him out of his space. "You're such a damn sensitive idiot," Seto admonished once Jounouchi had stumbled a few feet away from the bed. He now could feel a flush in his own countenance, and he'd give almost anything at that moment to make the other man go away.

Jounouchi cursed as he was shoved away, going back to glaring at Kaiba, though not leaning on the bed this time, "I am not sensitive! You're sensitive!" he accused in retort, "Jeez, someone has a big personal bubble!" he crossed his arms and nodded in affirmation. He seemed to be calming now, glad to find another fault in Kaiba for himself to focus on, so he didn't have to think about his own shortcomings.

"I'm not, you are? That's your brilliant retort? Oh my, I am SO insulted," Seto sneered, relieved that Jounouchi at least didn't seem to have noticed the full extent of his discomfiture. He added, "I think my bubble is quite appropriately sized considering current company." Jounouchi fumed and the last of his prior discomfort abated.
"Anyhow I think I should probably get back to sleep, why don't you get one of the servants to show you were the game room is. You don't really need to watch me, I'm sorry, 'my carpet', while I sleep," Seto announced, moving to lay back down and feign an attempt to begin napping while Jounouchi vacated. He hoped his caretaker would leave anyhow. He had thought about adding that he'd have him called when he awoke, but felt that would just betray his intentions. Why should Seto have the consideration to think to have Jounouchi called, unless he wasn't really intending to rest and needed to be kept aware. A lack of call plan meant the other man would probably check up on him from time to time without warning, but he'd set up a camera surveillance. He should have plenty of time to stash his stuff and crawl under the sheets before any surprise visit.

Jounouchi made something akin to a growling noise in his throat. What, Kaiba was just dismissing him, as if this was something both of them were being forced to do, and the other was giving him a chance to escape? Hell no, this was Jounouchi's idea to begin with! As much as he hated being in this room with this b*****d, he was going to follow through on what he said he would do, and what he promised to Mokuba, and that meant staying here even when Kaiba was asleep! The CEO obviously not wanting him here and telling him to scram was just more motivation to keep Jounouchi following through; if he pissed Kaiba off, all the better, right?
"Hmph, go ahead and sleep, but I already told Mokuba I'd stay in here. I'll be quiet, so have fun taking your little beauty nap or whatever." he crossed his arms, flopping back down onto his chair before lounging back and glaring ahead.

Seto sat back up and glared at Jounouchi, how dare he foil his plan in such an irritating fashion. He actually hopped out of the bed and walked over to the chair the blond had just claimed, as if he had some sort of right to Seto's belongings. "I am not going to sleep while being watched, would you want to have someone ogle you while you napped?" he snapped, actually grabbing Jou by the collar and pulling him out of the chair. "Get the hell out of my room now you stupid dog," Seto snarled, shoving the taken aback man towards the door.

Seriously?! Kaiba was pushing Jounouchi around in the condition he was in?! Hell no! Jounouchi snarled in return, stepping back forward, "I'm not a ******** dog! And I'm not gonna watch you sleep either; that's the last thing I would ever want to do! But I am not leaving this room, and you trying to force me out is just making me more certain of that!" he huffed, "Now get back into bed you cocky a** moron, or you're gonna end up in the hospital again!"

Seto was absolutely livid, Jounouchi had no right to refuse to leave his room. It was his room, and if he wanted to be alone it damn it he had every right. Through clenched teeth he growled, "this is my house, you are a guest in it, an unwanted guest at that. If I tell you to stay out of somewhere you are damn well going to stay out. Even if I could sleep with someone in the room, which I might add, I can't, I would not just acquiesce to your creepy sit here quietly plan. What the hell would you do anyhow, it's not like you can read," Seto smirked as Jounouchi processed that last insult. Please go be a good little nuisance and just play video games or watch TV or I don't care, just go away so I can get a few hours of rest."
Seto really hoped that something in that insult heavy tirade would get Jounouchi out of his room before this turned into a fist fight, because he had every intention of steering this confrontation in that direction if he didn't get his way soon.

"I'll have you know that I can read just fine, you insulting, coat-wearing b*****d!!" Jounouchi now was pointing his finger rudely at Kaiba's chest, "And just because you've pissed me off, then no, I won't leave! Not only does that help me fulfill my promise, but it also gives me the chance to piss you off back!" he smirked in triumph; the more Kaiba insulted him, the more Jounouchi would want to bother him back by staying in here, "And if you can't sleep, that's your problem, not mine! I'm doing my job; all you gotta do is rest for yours, but I guess you can't even pull that off!" it was nice pointing out Kaiba was being the incompetent one for once.

Seto clenched and unclenched his fists, preparing to deck the arrogant fool. Even if Seto had really been planning on resting, Jounouchi's "plan" would only interfere with that. If his promise had been to badger Seto to death he was well on his way.
In the end Seto decided it wasn't worth it, and instead just stormed out of the room. He'd be exhausted having to deal with the dog all day and working all night (Jounouchi had his own room for a reason, he was not allowed to sleep in Seto's room, nobody was allowed to sleep in Seto's room except Seto. Even Mokuba wasn't allowed to anymore, granted he was at this point too old for that to even be considered an issue anymore). Somehow he'd get through it though, grab a couple hours of sleep in the early morning perhaps.
At the moment though, if he wasn't allowed to "sleep," and Jounouchi wouldn't leave his room, then he would. Staying in the room would be pointless anyhow, he really would be unable to sleep knowing someone was just sitting there, watching. His bedroom had two purposes, sleep and work, and as both were momentarily barred from him he'd wander off elsewhere. Jounouchi could just damn well deal with it.

Jounouchi stood there in silence for a good few seconds. He just... didn't know how to respond to that. He had never seen Kaiba storm out of a room like a fourteen-year-old getting grounded. Yeah, it was kind of funny, but it more just took him off guard than anything.
Finally regaining his mind, he stuttered after the already-gone form, "N-now wait just a minute, where the hell are you going?!" he took off after the other, managing to catch up soon enough, "You can't just leave you're room! You're supposed to be in bed recovering!!" he said this, half pissed, half flabbergasted.

Seto smirked at Jounouchi's declaration that he "couldn't" leave his room, barring all recognition of the fact he already had. "And how, I ask, is staying in my room going to be restful? I already told you I can't sleep with someone present, you are insisting on being present, so I suppose I will only be sleeping at night when you retire to your own room - which you will do. I do not need dog drool all over my expensive chair, so don't even think about curling up there," Seto lectured, tone even, but he laughed on the inside at the hackles raised by the phrase "dog drool." Before he could be interrupted though he continued, "if I'm not allowed to sleep there is no reason for me to stay in that room, so I refuse to do so."
That said he began to march down the hall again, not sure entirely where he planned on ending up, but making sure to give Jounouchi no clue that this trek wasn't purposeful. He'd pick a destination/activity eventually, there had to be someway he could be productive, under the guise of "rest", and leave his babysitter none the wiser.

"b*****d, resting isn't just sleeping; it's staying in bed so you're not moving your frail, messed up body around!" Jounouchi was marching after Kaiba now, "Fine, I can tell Mokuba that you're just gonna be sleeping, but I'm not doing my job unless I get you back into bed!" ((Yes, the relation to prostitution was intended on my part, but not on Jounouchi's. XD))

"Yea, I'd like to see you try and get me into bed," Seto retorted, then, just to be a complete pain in the a**, he decided to run. That'd probably piss Jounouchi off, nothing like a good run through the mansion to be doing the complete opposite of rest.
((No pun intended on Seto's end either. ^_~))

"What?!" Jounouchi suddenly shouted as Kaiba took off. Oh, that was it. Now this wasn't just a responsibility; it was a challenge! And Jounouchi never backed away from a challenge. He would get that Kaiba's a** into bed if he had to shove him down and pin him there.
And so he took off after the CEO, flinching from the pains in his torso after all the recent incidents, but deciding to ignore it and concentrate on the fact that he hadn't been hospitalized! No, it would just be an embarrassment not to win this challenge with the current circumstances. He planned to catch Kaiba quickly and drag him back; he should win with their differences in injuries.
((Hur hur))

Seto laughed as he sprinted away, gaining a bit of a lead while Jounouchi picked his jaw up off the floor. He also had the advantage of knowing his way around the mansion (which also had the advantage of being a sprawling mansion with several places to turn and hide), whereas Jounouchi did not.
After several minutes of darting, leaping and other un-Kaiba like nonsense, complete with a novel's worth of swears from Jounouchi, Seto decided he really needed a break. Unfortunately he'd accidentally run himself down into his game room, which was a basement with only one way in or out. Jounouchi had to be exhausted as well, but Seto wasn't going to bank on being able to force his way directly past the blond in his worn out state. The only real option, besides acting like an adult and ending the game (and make Jounocuhi's life easier - never!) was to hide. Jounouchi, having slipped a few paces back, gave Seto a few seconds alone to decide where he'd throw himself. Some place he wouldn't be easily found, that was relatively close to the door, so that after resting he could dart out while Jounouchi hopefully wandered around the wrong corner of the massive room.
He decided the easiest place to take cover would be under the nearest sofa. It was massive, but if you lifted up the ruffle it didn't appear able to fit a person underneath it, the base appearing a closed box. Unless you knew that the boards that made up the sides of the base frame gave way when pushed against firmly enough. Furthermore the skirt was sheer, and the boards were composed of a special one-way mirror. Sure, the giant fluffy contraption was designed more to hide from vicious criminals than annoying young men. It would probably serve the latter purpose just fine though. Ducking out of sight about 10 seconds before Jounouchi finally made it into the room Seto attempted to control his breathing. He'd just look like an idiot hiding under a couch like a five year old if he couldn't manage to stay quiet enough to convince his babysitter to look elsewhere.
((I hope the couch description wasn't too confusing, sorry, not good at the whole describing a visual deal. sweatdrop ))
