okay, based on my personal oppinion......i hate ayaka.........HATE!!..........she is such a stuck up......* coughs * ahem.......ill be polite for the sake of manners........yesyes.......* goes to murder and ayaka pic * hmph!

to put it politely..........girls like ayaka......i like to piss them off and see them fume......and its soo easy to do......she thinks she's all that and she is soo not......she is rude in more obnoxios ways and has few manners, much as she'd like to argue differently..........

XD I dunno, I think sexual harassment is a big deal, I mean, poor Tenchi. No means no. XD

I think it is funny how Ryoko fangirls like to portray themselves as the antagonistic Ryoko personality type. XD

Do not get me wrong, I love the Ryoko, but I think the other characters - including Aeka - deserve respect.

I used to be an "OMG RYOKO IS SO AWESOME AYEKA SUCKSS" fan, but then I realized that that mindset is not what Kajishima intended. If you look at each character, they all have unique personality quarks. They don't all blend together to be one BLEH of a harem.

Really, how fun would it be if Aeka were not there to criticize Ryoko? And inversely, how fun would it be to not have Ryoko hassling Aeka? And what would we do without Mihoshi: Washuu's greatest nemisis? XD And who would domesticate them if Sasami were not around? And with Tenchi gone, what would the show be about? It would be very drab.

As stated earlier, I do not think one girl's personality is more or less annoying than the others'.

Though, it is good times to poke fun at all the characters, despite who they are and who we think "TENCHI SHULD CHUSE!!1"

So, uh, I guess I am saying that all the characters deserve some respect. <___<''

And, I need to go do something less dorky, now that I defended a cartoon character. XD

And why should you not look at deeper meanings? It helps you to appreciate the work of art that Masaki Kajishima has crafted. So, not only can you enjoy the story because it is funny and dramatic, but you can understand the characters and their motives, creating a richer experience.

Angry, close-minded fans are so saddening. T___T


Uh ... that's what I am saying: They are not all the same, and that makes for a better diversity. However, just because they are different, does not mean that they are any less important or whatever than whichever character you want Tenchi to choose.

Well, Ryoko remembers Tenchi's childhood, but Tenchi was not aware that Ryoko was even watching. So, the history only goes one way. And, I highly doubt that she "feels like an old friend", because she doesn't know how old friends feel like.

Your statement that "friends tease each other" holds no ground in this issue. Ryoko acts the way she does because she has very few social skills. Now, throughout the series, she does mature, but she still acts inappropriately. If you read the True Tenchi Novels, you will understand that teasing/harassing people is one way that Ryoko gets her jollies (especially when it comes to teasing Aeka) - not because she is mean, but because she doesn't know any better way to socialize with people.

I do love Ryoko, let you all not forget that.

I'm not about to say that Ryoko is perfect...but the thing is that Ryoko isn't hypocritical. Not to mention there is one thing about Ayeka's faults that are more glaring obvious that piss me off about her: She REALLY knows better. She was raised with the best of manners to be more like Sasami or Tenchi...or many of the others...but she doesn't. She'll destroy property, become rude, selfish, and many other things which she KNOWS is bad just because she gets a little angry or jealous or selfish.

Ryoko didn't have the upbringing that Aykea did...Ryoko has a long history of really NOT knowing better. Having so many houndreds of years to become set in ones ways is a a lot harder to get rid of. Ayeka has only had a rather short time to get set in any ways...she's not even 20 realistically with all the time she's spent in suspended animation...
