Miles dashed ahead of Yousei, pulling the Nienna to a stop. He slid off, standing infront of Yousei. "Don't go inside before you tell me what you're in such a rush to do," He demanded, His fists clenched and his knuckles white. "That's my home you seem to be rushing at to tear down," He called out, his voice shaking.

Yousei paused abruptly, "Your home.....?" She turned to Miles, tears streaming down her cheeks, "Your home is where Camthalion is being held prisoner..." Suddenly, it had all made sense to her. The word "cult" echoed throughout her mind.. "And..." she continued, her eyes losing focus, "It is because of your home.. that mine is now gone..." She stood there, remembering the fire, and her mother's distant screams.

 

[[Z_]]

Miles shook his head, stepping towards her. "That's impossible. My people wouldn't do something like that," He urged, approaching her still. "Please, calm down and we'll find Camthalion"  

[[Faelan]]

Yousei slowly backed away as he approached her, shaking her head. "No...." she muttered, running past him once more. She stumbled once, but forced herself onward. As she ran, her surroundings seemed to change to that of her home land. She saw herself as she was ten years ago... The angry shouts outside the door, and soon, her mother's scream. She faded back into reality and kept running.

Miles stood, letting his arms fall to his sides. He sighed deeply, staring down at the sand. He stood up and turned to Eden. "They're not bad people," He muttered, gripping his cloak.  

[GreyZone]

Having caught up to Miles, he listened to the end of their brief conversation before speaking. "So," he asked, slightly out of breath, "Mind explaining what the hell's going on, exactly?"

The guard escorted the old elf to the gallows as soon as he said it was time. It was a long walk for Camthalion, who was still in much agony after using dark magic. Never in any of the books he read stated what to do when someone was captured without weapons, or what spells to conjure. He remained quiet until he reached the center square, where the hangman's noose was. His eyes widened.

An...underground city! But that is impossible. Under all that sand and dust and a city is thriving? The guard seemed to see his expression change and sniggered. "Yeah, we are underneath the city you call Eden. However, that part of the city is where the unfortunate live. So, we built this underground city where all the trade and surplus is made. This is the real Eden, and this is where you will die." Again, the guard laughed his head off.

Camthalion was shackled making it hard to move. He thought of a way out of this, but couldn't. A crowd was forming, pitchforks raised and vulgar words spoken.

"Kill the foul beast!"

"Cut his f*cking throat!"

"Make the b*****d scream!"

Their voices made him sad and closed his eyes in sympathy.

Witium looked up to karasu and chuckled some, "Thanks for the lift." He climbed up onto her back swiftly and patted her head, "I'm glad your still with us karasu, we were worried." The elf caught his breath quickly and blinked, "So are the others at the city already?" Witium thought to Yousei quickly, "So whats going on in your end Yousei?"  

[[Faelan]]

Yousei picked up speed, and finally, entered the city's gates. She shook the horrible images from her mind and finally came to a hault, just inside of Eden. ~Camthalion. I'm here.. Where are you?~ she asked, panting.
Two children playing in the streets noticed her enter, and froze, staring at her. She looked over to them curiously, examining their peculiar expressions. She then realized that her cover might soon be blown and quickly ducked into the shadows. Witium's voice took her by surprise. Yousei replied, still quite out of breath, ~I've made it to Eden.. Camthalion's in danger, so I'm trying to find him...~

Karasu smiled to him and in one stroke of her mighty wings, they were off once more. While in the air, Karasu was stricken with a horrible feeling. Something was wrong... She felt Yousei's pain, and quickly flew to Miles's side, just outside of the city.
~Is Yousei all right? Where is she?~ Karasu inquired, concerned. She looked to Eden, knowing that that was the only place she could have gone, but hoping that would not be Miles's answer.

 

[Lyf Orion]

Lyf was having a very pleasant dream. A Nice Lady had found him while he slept and had cuddled up next to him. Even now, she was licking his face..."Mmm..Kinda rough.." Awakening with a start, he was very much suprised to see their actually WAS someone there. A someone with a tail. Giving a strangled yell, he attempted to jump up and defend himsself, forgetting that he was wrapped in his cloak. With a tumbled he landed back down on his bottom staring fearfully up at the apparition before him.

Witium leaped off Karasu and looked back to her, "I'm going to try and get a better look at the city to find camthalion." He looked over to Hile and waved him over, "Hey buddy, your a pretty tough guy from what i saw at the golem fight. How bout you join me in a little rescue mission." From there he grinned to him and sprinted into the city and began to climb up the first building he saw. When on the roof top he kneeled down low so few could see him and waved Hile over. After every couple of seconds he would leap from one building to the next to get a better view, "From this view point we might be able to spot anything suspicious or uncanny". The elf concentrated and thought to Yousei, "Thanks for the info, I'm on the roof tops trying to get a better view. This place doesn't seem too barbariack."
The elf now tried to send thoughts to Camthalion, "Alright buddy, I hope your still alive. Now do ya think you can tell me where you are in city?"

Miles shook his head drawing in a long quivering breath. "She rushed ahead into the village," He said simply, pressing on in afterwards.
He entered the Village of Eden, Glanding about at the home he'd left behind those many years ago. The large oass in the center of the village gave life to grass they hadn't seen since they left the gabin. He looked around at the plant life and to the Clay houses.
Spotting Yousei, he followed her gaze to the two children. He smiled, calling their attention with a whistle and waving to them. He headed over, kneeling down beside them and reaching into his pack. After a moment or so of diggiing around he removed three small bags, passing one to each of the children and emptying the contents of the last onto his palm. He Held up two fingers on his free hand and muttered something, casting a small flame onto the black sand that now filled his palm. The powder instantly jumpped to life in magestic colors and shapes, creating what appeared to be a couple dancing the waltz.

Hile, caught off guard by Witium's appearance, followed him along the rooftops. He scanned the crowds below, looking for anyone who stuck out. When he saw nothing of interest, he turned to Witium. "Gimmie' something to look for; clothing, hair color, anything."

Yousei looked over to Miles as he entered the city. She was still unsure as to whether or not she could trust him, but nevertheless, she couldn't miss this chance. She stealthily crossed the street, behind them, and ducked behind houses. Once in the shadows, she donned her hood and strode down the dark alley until she was far enough away to continue down the street.

Karasu cursed under her breath as Miles told her what had happened. She watched curiously as he proceeded to enter the city and play with nearby children. Soon after, she noticed Yousei swiftly cross the street behind them. She quietly followed suit, making sure to remain in the shadows.
