Malik's eyes narrowed coldly back to Jounouchi, "Oh, don't play the fool Jounouchi. " He rammed his fist into the coffee table, before jumping out of his seat, and standing before the other, "You know what I'm talking about! So damn it, admit it already!"

Jounouchi's eyes narrowed slightly as he stared up at Malik, "How did you know about that...?" he asked, remembering that he hadn't been wearing a shirt for a while, "Were they... still there...?"

"Of course it's relevant!" Jounouchi huffed, "This has to do with the markings afterall! Isn't it significant if they're still there or not?!" he was getting annoyed, "I thought they would've dissappeared by now, God!" And yet, after all that, he stood up anyway and took his shirt off, turning so his back was to Malik.

(((Well, that's good - I started writing before you answered and I suppose I guessed right. ^^ )
There it was... this was real. Jounouchi's pale back, painted in wretched crimson and pink lines.
Malik let out a gasp, his anger ceasing up a bit and transmuting into fear. "S-so it is real! Your back is bloody covered in these marks...!" His hand flew up to cover his mouth, blood made him sick - and yet - this couldn't possibly be a coincident. Did... did I really do this to Jounouchi? Even he couldn't believe he's sink so low as to betray the blond again... but who else could've done it. The evidence was so clear.
"Where did they come from?! Tell me where!" The Egyptian gasped through gritted teeth.
((He's being bossy again.... *sigh*))

((XD And poor Jounouchi usually automatically follows Malik's commands. He wouldn't have shown him the marks if Malik hadn't *demanded* it. razz ))
Jounouchi turned around with his arms crossed, "Look, I already told you. They were there after I woke up." he huffed, "So they're still there...? Weird..." he began walking over to the bathroom to go see. "Seriously though, you should calm down man." he said as he walked, "It's not a big deal. They don't even hurt anymore. Besides, you're more banged up than I am."

Malik grabbed the other's wrist before he could leave, "Don't you get it?! How could you be so... damn indifferent!" He growled, staring hard at Jounouchi, " Why don't you get it?! I don't care about me! I just want you to..." The angry voice came to a nervous fade when he realized what he was saying, he lowered his head to the ground still holding Jounouchi's wrist tightly, " T-to... be okay."

Jounouchi blinked in surprise as his eyes widened, "Wh-what...?" he asked, seeming in disbelief. Why the hell would Malik, of all people, care for Jounouchi's well-being more than his own? It just didn't make sense... He turned to face the person who was holding his wrist, "Y-you don't mean that..." he smiled nervously, "You're joking... right...?" he gave off an exasperated laugh, "I mean, that just doesn't make sense after all... why would you give a damn about me at all, let alone more than yourself?" he asked as he ran a nervous hand through his hair.

((I was wondering that the other day actually. When I was lifeguarding. I get so bored out there. XD; ))
"I-I don't know...." The creamy bangs fell into his eyes, and hid the pain that filled them nearly to tears. He couldn't understand why, but to hear Jounouchi say this... it hurt so much. No wonder he was so annoyed with me earlier... he thinks I'm a selfish jerk...
It hurt... it hurt so damn much. Not the cuts or scrapes, but everything... everything that had been happening...
He felt his legs go limp from under him, and he stumble onto the floor beneath Jounouchi, this resulted in his withered hand falling down a bit from the other's wrist, and slipping into his hand, he held tightly to it and didn't let go. "What.. what kind of guy do you think I am...? I'm not... that bad, am I?"

Jounouchi looked down at Malik in shock as he leaned forward so their arms weren't stretching so much. This was just so weird... to see Malik so upset... was it over him? Did Malik really care that much about Jounouchi. "No... of course you're not..." Jounouchi replied quietly, "But... you're not that good either... to put aquaintances before yourself... to not care about yourself but care about someone you hardly know... most people aren't that good... I know I'm sure not..." he laughed bitterly.

Jounouchi's hand felt soft against his rough one, he could feel his eyes fill up with a top layer of wet tears still mostly covered by the downpour of bangs,"Except you... you keep coming here to protect me... When all I ever did was hurt you. I just... I feel bad okay!"

"Malik..." Jounouchi stared sadly down at him. He went quiet for a few seconds, "...the past is over with now... aren't I allowed to forgive you...? Aren't I allowed to be your friend now...? I mean... you really have changed... so why can't I change too?" he suddenly leaned in, wrapping his arms around Malik's neck, pulling him in for a hug, "You don't need to feel guilty... I don't deserve your guilt... I've done horrible things, just like you... instead of regretting and feeling guilty for it though... I try to make it up by doing good things now... so can you forgive yourself...? I know you've been trying to do good things, but it will be really hard to unless you forgive yourself..." he closed his eyes, "I forgive you..."
((*sigh* I should be getting off now... XP Sorry, but I gotta get up early tomorrow... good night!))
