I was thinking the manga would be better too, that's why I gave the series the benefit of the doubt and started reading it.
I stopped after four chapters ^_^; Sorry, it's not my kind of show.

That's why I love the FUNimation version.
They freakin rescued it from 4kids' screw up! ^_^
People bleed, like they did in the original.
And the guns are water guns!

But I can understand, Ukyo.
I can see why some people might not like One Piece.

the best manga i've read so far is Fairy Tail (not that i've read a lot of mangas ^_^ wink

and the best anime i've seen so far is Darker than Black (even though i dont get wat the storyline is, it looks cool)

Estu, I think 4kids screws everything up, but that's just my experience with it.
So is their blood still radioactive or something? lol
You should see the episodes of Pokemon that is not allowed to air over here if you want a good laugh. One of them was banned because Brock got a cold and the symptoms were similar to SARS or something xd Another episode had to be taken out because of the showing of a gun. Countless others had to be edited because we didn't want to explain to children that rice balls are good for you -_-;

I've seen some of the pokemon edits with rice balls. Especially the one where 4kids is lazy and, instead of editing the rice balls out, just has the chars refer to them as jelly filled donuts

Or cap guns. xd I nearly died of laughter in the flashback episode when Luffy was remembering how Shanks saved him, when in that one guy pointed a gun at Shanks and his second mate shot the guy in the manga. Then in the anime, the guy pointed a slingshot at Shanks, and then the second mate shot him with what appeared to be a gun. then Shanks says, "When he wakes up, tell him it was a cap gun." rofl
