"No 'but's. Promise!" He pulled a little harder.

"Geh! Owie! But...I don't wanna promise! Because...I know I'll break it! And I don't wanna break any promises to you..." She got really quiet.

Allen paused looking at Lavi and then at Didrika. "But we can't keep watch over you all the time." He frowned.

Lavi sighed and let go of the girl's cheek.

"ow!..."

"Well...What are we gonna do with you?"

"....I dunno....? I promise to be less reckless in general...but...I'm still gonna kick him..." She coughed slightly. "It's his fault for being so fun to kick!!!"

He chuckled. "I guess there really isn't a way to keep you 100% out of trouble. ." Allen sighed.

"Of course not! I'm only thirteen! I'll be getting into to trouble a lot! I mean...Look who my Mommy and Daddy are!"

"Eh! ....She's right. We're...not exactly the best role models, are we Allen?"

"Eheheh. . . I guess not." He answered nervously. "I guess we'll just. . . well. . There doesn't seem to be many options. What is there to do?"

"ooh! I know! I know! Pick me! Pick me!" She said, waving her hand frantically.

"Yeah? What is it?" Lavi said, pointing at her like a teacher.

She had a serious and determined look on her face. "We...can go eat."

Allen blinked. "Well. . . I am kinda hungry." He looked back at Lavi.

"Okay. We'll go eat. But this isn't over, got it Umeboshi-chan?" He poked her forehead.

"Heh heh...yeah..."

"Sounds good, we'll deal with it later." He agreed with a nod. Allen turned the other direction and started off towards the dining hall.

She clamped on to one of either of their arms and smiled. "Yay! Food! I haven't eaten yet today!"

"Me either. I was busy being yelled at by a panda for talking about things... Didrika."

"Eh heh heh" She sweatdropped. "Sorry about that... But...Let's go!" Then she ran off, dragging them both.

"Well, I guess we can finally all enjoy a good first meal of the day together." He smiled before being dragged off by Didrika.

"Yes! Food! Hey...Mommy? Why do you eat so much and not be fat?"

"Didi! That's rude to ask your mother that!" He laughed, calling Allen her mother.

"Really? Sorry! Just...curious!" She smiled and stopped in front of the dining hall.

"Eh? I don't know really." He laughed. "Maybe I'm just used to it."

"Really? Wow! How do you get used to not getting fat while eating so much...?" She said, walking in, still holding onto them.

"That's still rude!"
