((D: I'd have no problem playing Malik, except that I love the way you play hiim so much that I wouldn't allow myself to take that character away from you.))

((Waahht? ^^;; I'm not very confident actually. I feel so inconsistent.

I mean if I really roleplayed him properly he'd be all... *spits the next word* NICE like he is in the end of the anime. BLEH. I don't like nice Malik. I like angry, emo Malik. Ah well. ^^

If you get off before I can post I'll come up with something tonight before I go to sleep and post it as soon as I can. ^^ I'm pretty much nocturnal... o_O))

((But inconsistent works so perfectly for Malik, because he's a moody little b***h! X3 And that works well with Jounouchi's character also, because he pretty much adopts the mood of the others around him all the time.
Nice Malik made me sad. D: And happy at the same time, because I was glad he wasn't a villain anymore, but he was just *too* nice... no one with that many issues can just suddenly see the error of their ways and become perfectly good Semeritans... XP
And okay, I'll probably just get off when I get tired. ^^ I'm normally a morning person so go to bed early, but once in a while I just don't get tired for a long while, like tonight, which I'm fine with as long as it isn't a school night.))

(( I know, I know. But he's my moody little b***h. *glomps him*

Yea. He seemed out of character. Like... his fairy god mother snapped her fingers and said, "you are emo no more! now go be happy and love the world!" IT DIDN'T WORK. I wanted to cry! x_x

Oh. Well, before I went to college I'd stay up until 12 ish on a normal night. 2-3 was late for me. But when I'm at school I have to stay up until at least 1 because of the noise. I usually end of falling asleep around 3... sometimes at 4. I hate it! I was content with 12... *whines*

I just like night. It's more peaceful. Morning is... enh.... I like sleeping during the morning. So I miss it a lot. ))

((Ooh, that sucks... I generally can sleep through anything if it's night and I'm tired enough. Once the sun peaks over the horizon though... any little noise or light will wake me. XP I can't tell you how many times I've fallen asleep to horror video games in the middle of the night... people tell me I'm crazy for being able to just fall asleep with all the creepy sounds haunting me and my last images being bloody ghosts trying to kill you, but if I'm that tired nothing can keep me awake... except the day time... XD;; I love mornings. They are the most peaceful to me because of the cool air and the quietness. Even party people who stay up all night are asleep by early mornings.))

((I see... you are weird! I don't do so good with creepy.... ~_~

I changed the music.... *still working on a post* It helps a little bit.... but I think I'm shaking because it is cold! O_O Ack. My little brother is being a brat! He won't go to bed. Even though he is six years younger than me he thinks we have the same privilages.... -.- ))

((I often don't do too well with creepy either, but when I'm tired that doesn't matter. XD;; I never even have nightmares about the games when I fall asleep to them. o.o
I didn't know you had a little brother. o.o What other siblings do you have?))
PostPosted: Fri Nov 23, 2007 11:31 pm

((I have one brother is all. He's 12 and very moody, arrogant and he loves his hair as much as girls love him. Sometimes he is fun. I'm glad I don't live with anymore though. X3;

I couldn't come up with anything... x_X ))

The blue eyed teenager threw his hands in the air distastefully as he spat mockingly, "Water bending this, water bending that! If ya love water bending so much, why don't you just marry it, Katara?! UGH!” He scowled, threw his arms in the air and continued his trudge through the miles of snow before him.

Now that both of his parents were gone, it was his responsibility to take care of his younger sister, Katara. Her stupid bending was just getting out of line! “We need to focus on more important things, your mundane bending isn’t going to get us anywhere!” Was one of the last things he recalled telling her before he had stormed out of their village with balled fists earlier today.

Thinking about it now, he felt a tinge of guilt. Maybe he shouldn’t be so hard on her. He sighed, looking into the distance. From his current location he could just barely see the shimmering sapphire of the ocean line against the white of the South Pole. That horizon reminded him of that cruel day that his mother had been taken away from him. He remembered the dark metal forms that he had seen growing in the horizon all too clearly. That day, the sky had rained black ash that blanketed the coast line. By now the ash was gone. Most likely covered by fresh snow fall, and distorted by the ever changing icy surface of his home.

Sokka kicked some more snow in the air, the layer of white powder arose the wind as if it was dancing with it and he was immediately reminded of water bending.

Maybe he just envied her for being given such a gift. He was the older brother. He was supposed to be the strong one. It irritated him to no end.

He continued his bitter trek down to the water line, his village becoming a tiny trail of smoke in the distance.

((I'm the youngest of six siblings... D:
And WTF, are you crazy?! That intro was amazing! You should've started the RP. XD;; ))
Katara was in quite the annoyed mood. Seriously! What was with Sokka and that attitude of his?! "Mundane bending?!" As if! Waterbending was an important part of their tribe's heritage, and had been an extremely helpful aid in the war against the Fire Nation thus far. How dare Sokka call it mundane! If only Katara knew more than just how to manipulate water in the most simple ways, she could give Sokka a good smack with the stuff! There had to be a way she could show that stubborn brother of her's how helpful Waterbending could be...
Katara sighed to herself, strolling along a random pathway with no particular idea of her destination. She knew she should be working on her chores, but she wanted to dispell her anger against Sokka first. Then, suddenly hearing the oh-so-familiar "UGH!" scowl of Sokka, she smirked to herself, glad to hear that he was even more frustrated than she was.
Katara proceeded to hide behind a large hill of snow, peaking out and over it at the distant figure of Sokka throwing a little temper tantrum. She giggled to herself, wondering if she could give Sokka a scare by bending the snow around him. If only she could manipulate water that far away... the young Waterbender stuck her tongue out in concentration as she waved her arms sloppilly in Sokka's direction, surprising herself when she managed to make a bit of snow rise up in front of Sokka's face, before it quickly fell back down to the ground.

Zuko's expression soon changed to one of satisfaction as he saw the white ice of the South Pole begin to come into view. It definitely wasn't another large ice burg; this was too much to be anything but the real deal. He glared at the land triumphantly, as if he had caused it a great loss simply by arriving into its view.
"Uncle!" Zuko called impatiently, "Uncle, we've finally arrived!" he turned to look in the direction of the doors leading below deck impatiently, as if he expected his Uncle to come straight through them, as if the man had been waiting right behind them, waiting for Zuko to give the signal to come out.

((Uhm... sure. Six siblings? Like full siblings, or half siblings too? ))

As he walked, a light fluster of snow had begun to fall around him. He pulled his fur lined hood over his head and shoved gloved hands into his pockets. "Maybe I'm not good enough to take care of her..." He said to himself, his insecurity fogged his mind like the wispy white clouds had seemed to wrap themselves around the blue-grey sky of his home.

He made his way down to edge of the white; where ice meets water. Even though water and ice were basically the same element but in different phases the two seemed so different. Water was always changing, always moving. Water never gives up, it just keeps... well, doing the things it does. Kind of like Katara. He couldn't help but feel more like the ice. Sturdy, never changing, weak in comparison to the water which would slowly but surely break it. He wanted to move, to become something better, but he felt stuck. Without bending, what can I do?

Sokka pulled out his boomerang from it's pouch on his back and made a hole in the ice with it. He kept trashing at the ice until he had made blue appear. He bent over and cradled some of the water in the palms of his mittens. The water disappeared into the leather. He let out an annoyed cry. So much for experimenting! "What's so great about water anyway?!" He whined, rather irritated by the fact that his hands were now wet, and cold at that. "I can water bend too! How hard can it be!" He slowly rose his arms in the air, and twirled them in a circle over his head. (How silly he looked; mimicking a ballerina moreso than a water bender) He threw his hands and arms in every which way, pointing them towards the small hole in the ice. "I'm sooo cool because I'm a water bender!" He cried mockingly.

Nothing was happening.

However, it did appear as though he got pleasure out of the chaotic arm movements and he even got a kick in every minute or so.

((I dunno how to play Iroh... O__O; ))

"Uncle" had been stirring a fresh cup of tea, eyes glimmering with anticipation. Not for the arrival at the South Pole, but for a nice, long sip of that tea. It smelt so good. He closed his eyes and inhaled it for a moment. The distant shouting of his noisy nephew could be heard. Looks like... the tea would have to wait. "Zuko?" He replied calmly, " What is with all the ruckus? I am trying to enjoy this warm cup of tea..."

((One full sibling, the rest are half siblings. ^^;; I get along better with all my half siblings than I do my full one though.))
Katara giggled to herself as she watched her brother attempt to Waterbend. Sure, he seemed as if he was only attempting to mock the art, but it was still funny to watch and listen to him. Getting an idea, she smiled to herself, carefully, though not extremely gracefully, attempting to bend the snow around Sokka again. It was just too hard to make more than a small pile rise up at once before it would quickly proceed to fall back down. Sighing to herself, Katara then noticed the few holes Sokka had made in the ice, where fresh puddles of water lay. Maybe that would be easier to manipulate... she did have more experience with pure water afterall.
Calling up her determination again, Katara proceeded to stand up to her full height, waving her arms down and up in a motion to attempt to bring that faraway water up with her movements. Finally, she got some. She carefully concentrated on keeping it together, then used one eye to watch Sokka's movements (while still keeping the other eye on the water she was bending), attempting to manipulate the water according to his sporadic motions. It was tough since Sokka was far less graceful than Waterbenders were supposed to be, and Katara ended up sending the water splashing back against the snow. She sighed, hoping Sokka, in his fit of wild movements, had at least noticed that splash and assumed he himself had made it.

Zuko, hearing Iroh's reply, quickly made his way down below deck in the direction of the voice, "Uncle! We've finally made it to the South Pole." he said, and while his face and tone of voice betrayed every feeling of excitement he was experiencing, his eyes had a gleam in them that showed he was happier than he had been in a long time. "Tell the men to prepare for dock and for battle. We will be invading the Water Tribe village as soon as we reach stable land." he commanded, before turning on his heel and walking off towards his quarters to begin suiting up for battle.
((You're doing a fine job of playing Iroh dear. ^^))

W-was that? Did he just see water shoot up into the snow?!

"N-no way! That's impossible!" He exclaimed, jumping away from the hole in the snow from which the water had splashed from. He stared at it rather fearfully for a moment. Maybe it was just a otter penguin or a turtle seal or something...

He lowered his shoulders after a few moments past. "I know your hiding!" He shouted. He couldn't have possibly bended. Some little animal was playing tricks on him. He rose an eyebrow and crouched over to the side of the hole to stare into it with a wide open eye, "Come out, come out wherever you are...."

"Yes Zuko." He replied with a nod, as he stood up to leave his room and collect his own armor. He sighed turning back and seeing the tea standing all by its lonesome. At least he could enjoy it after the ambush. The important issue right now was to make sure Zuko stayed out of trouble and they could get through the task of collecting benders with little difficulty.

As tempted as Katara was to bend water right into Sokka's face at that moment, she held herself back, knowing that in order to convince Sokka that he had performed Waterbending, she would have to wait until he tried doing so again. So she waited patiently, watching Sokka and his silly actions with baited breath.
Zuko quickly proceeded to put on his armor. It was a bit difficult getting everything on without help, but he wanted all of his men preparing to dock and getting their own armor on, so he managed. Zuko quietly approached a small mirror that was identical to the ones in Iroh's and other higher-status crewmen's rooms. He stared into it, realizing that this was the first time he had ever worn armor for an actual battle. He had participated in training and agni kai (sp? o.o) before, but those never required armor... he was truly beginning his mission now, to capture 100 benders... it would start here, and then Zuko would finally be one step closer to returning home.
The young Prince looked over himself, making sure the armor was tied correctly and that the helmet was on straight, before turning around and heading out of the room. He was certain his uncle wasn't handling commanding the ship well at all. He was far too lenient on the crew. At this moment half of them were probably chatting amongst themselves or stuffing their faces. Zuko glared bitterly to himself as these thoughts crossed his mind. He would make sure they were all ready; he wouldn't let some lazy crew or his carefree uncle ruin this important moment in their journey.

Moments pasted. After what felt like an eternity, Sokka gave an exasperated sigh, as he removed his eye from the hole in the ice. "STUPID HOLE!" He screamed, finding his boomerang and flinging it forcefully at said hole.

It got caught on the side of the ice that rimmed the hole. "I know. Why don't I just BEND it back to me! Ooo because water benders get to be lazy and use water to do all their damn work!" He made more of the mocking motions with his arms.

((Gah, sorry, I forgot. XD;; Anyway, from what I've observed of the season one episodes, Iroh only fights when he's needed. If there's enough soldiers or whatever to take care of the problem, then he won't bother, but if something happens where Zuko and the others are struggling, then he'll step in.
And lol at that Wiki entry. XD *can't wait for new episodes*))
Grinning to herself, Katara proceeded to attempt more bending. She attempted to use Waterbending to p***k up the boomerang, but it was too slick and hard to support, so she ended up just bending the water up around it. She then quickly went into sporradic movements again to immitate Sokka.
