I'm not a violinest but I've wanted to be for as long as I can possibly remember. Everybody I know wants to play the guitar or the drums but I wanna learn the violin. Only problem is that we don't have any teachers around where I live ... *sighs* Not to mention that the nearest place I could buy a violin would be a few hours away in the nearest city ....
Instead, I spend my time listening to every violin piece I can find and simply adoring anyone who plays my favorite instrument. Kudos to everyone who is a violinest. I give you such praise and good luck with your practice!!

Hello! I'm Alexis! I have been playing about 5 and a half years. My violin is called Lena. My favorite piece to play...is probably Lord of the Dance X3 amazing song! I also play the piano and guitar and i sing a little.

Hello, I'm Mizu-Chan, and I've been playing the Violin for... 5 years, almost 6... And i named my violin Jo.... After this CD game.... i don't know if anyone has heard of the JumpStart Learning Systems, but i named my violin after the character in JumpStart 5th grade.... anyhoo....
My favorite piece(s).... I like "Three Chinese Scenes" by Harry A. Alshin. It's based off the C, F, and G pentatonic scales. I also like "American Gaelic" by Shirl Jae Atwell (thats a very Irish name i think >3) And "My Heart Ever Faithful" By Bach! The first violin part! (normally i'm a second, but for one concert i had to do first (except on one but that was a combined orchestra thing.) and it was fun!) I also love "Gauntlet" by Doug Spata... Lets not forget "An English Folksong" arranged by Terry McQuilkin... And my absolute favorite Solo for violin, "Sarabanda #6 in C Major" By Bach.... Awsome!
So Yup.... I also love writing stories, Drawing, and reading... ^^

Hm... Well, I've been playing for about 10 years... I've recently started viola lessons... I want to learn how to play Tchaikovsky's Souvenir D'Un Lieu Cher (I've started learning, but sort of stopped.) and I would love to play Vitali's Chaconne. ( I don't have the ability just yet.) My main problem right now is my vibrato because I don't do the freaking thing right... (Gr...)
I named my violin Edward Chiaki... For anyone who has seen Nodame Cantabile. As for the Edward, he is a super talented guy in my orchestra... who is graduating this year. He also happens to be cute. (*ahem* Sorry 'bout that.)

Wow, it's so amazing how people have studied violin for so long! I envy you guys. Haha. wink Anyways, as for me, I'm still learning the violin. I hope I'm going to be as good as Paganini. Haha!! LOL. I love his Caprice. It's so fast and... and.. fast!!! biggrin I have been playing the violin for a month now, and I haven't thought up a name for it, but I do remember a girl every time I play this violin of mine. biggrin I shifted from piano to violin because it's kind of comfortable for me to play the violin. And my father said that I read notes fast, so I can play them more easier than I can play piano. If ever I were to choose what to violin piece I would play, it would be Paganini's Caprice. wink

hey there! I've played violin for 7 years and my all time favorite concerto is Summer. I teach children and run a company for violinists mainly but other instruments are welcome too. Hi! I've played for 5 years now. My violin' name is Artimus, like the greek goddess. I decided to name it that because my violin represented something to me an dmy innocence at the time (stupid right?) So snyhoo...
My favorite peice to play is Mozarts Presto. Why? I don't know....
I enjoy playinmg and the violin is muh life.

Cool! I've played for 8 years, and my violin's name is LeCroix, because it's French. 3nodding I love Vitali's Chaconne, though the hardest part is just a little beyond my level. I'm currently working on Vivaldi's Four Seasons concerto. I love that piece!

ive been playing for about 8 years now ^w^ my violins name is fred[idk it wuz random] i do not have a favorite piece :c i have played too much to remember, i am a first chair violinist nd have performed at many concerts[im also a solist] ish fun :] biggrin

I played for around 13 years now and still going forth with mastering the violin. I have 2 violins that are different colors. One is a pure vanilla violin that i call Lucid, and the other one is an average violin named Angelic ((because the sound of it is unbelievable since it's 30 years old)). My favorite piece to play is Bach's Sonata in G minor, and Partita in B minor. They are both very interesting pieces x3

Cool I'm Becca I've been playing violin for up to 3 yrs!!! this is my 3rd yr playing in my violins nickname is Da Vinci (i have a pic posted of it on my profile) XD
One of the most greatest pieces I've played so far Is Phantom of the Opera! n some of the other pieces I've played is Mozart Menuetto 3rd movement K421 in D minor, Russian Sailors Dance and I also play so japanese songs from animes such as Blue Bird from Naruto, Link by L'Arc~en~Ciel and way more.
I paly for my school orchestra and my ultimate dream is to b a violinist for the Philharmonic! and another thing is that I don't take private lessons I usually teach myself how to do and learn stuff! my orchestra teacher says im doing good so far =) but if you guys want to learn more about me and my experinces please feel free to message me anytime you wanna!!!! and thank you!

Hi Im Megan. I have played since i was 8, so i have been playing for about 6 years now. My violin's name is Baya. No reason why, just is. I cant remember some of the peices i have played back in the height of my violin career (when i played in the state orchestra). So yep thats a little bit about myself.
