Sighing out as she kept her eyes closed she bit her lip,hearing Ray.She let her eyes open,half lidded "I can't answer that question."She whispered,holding out her arms "Can you hold me so I sleep better?"She asked,her voice quiet since she was half asleep.She always found comfort in having Ray close to her,even just a hug made her feel better.Though her nightmares lightened and she felt much better.He barely let her though,he wasn't very affectionate with her.It made her sad really,he was the only one she had left and he didn't wanna hug her.He had even pulled away when she was trying to help him.What was wrong with him?She couldn't think about it now,she was half asleep and too tired to wonder."Pwease Ray Ray."She begged,sticking out her bottom lip and pouting.

Ray's face went bright red for a moment then he smiled and gather her up in his arms. "No problem..." He buried his face in her hair, "You smell nice. Like that dung we walked through last season." He grinned, prepared for a berating. But he didn't mean it, she did smell nice. Although it may just have been his biased nose. Either way.. "And don't call me Ray Ray..." He tried to hold but a yawn but couldn't. He then sighed, how much sleep had he gotten recently?

Sam smiled,happily snuggling into Ray's chest and gasping when he said she smelled like dung."Ray!"She yelled,looking up at him to see that grin and she scowled,flicking his nose."Not funny Ray."She sighed,letting herself rest against him again.She chuckled,hearing his yawn and yawned back"You should sleep Ray.Your always staying up and watching me..I'm sure were far away enough from Zack."She said,her voice quiet since she was so tired."We ran for miles and im sure we can rest easy,even if someone did come by we would hear it."She whispered,drifting off but resisting the urge to as she ran her finger over ray's ear"Why can't I call you Ray Ray?It's cute,just like you."Without knowing what she had said she had let sleep take over her and slept.The nightmare now just a blur of color that made her ears twitch gently.

Ray chuckled softly then rubbed his nose. She needed to stop that flicking. Annoying but funny. He shrugged at her suggestion to sleep, "I might..." He couldn't help but worry. Zack... was cruel... And highly unpredictable. But she was right, they would most likely hear him. Stumbling Wretch that the hunter was.
His face turned bright red. CUTE! Oh god..... He went to hide his face but realized she had fallen asleep. He smiled warmly and watched her ears move. He was hoping the nightmares were a tad quelled. If not... well, he would wake up if they got too bad. He yawned again and slowly drifted to sleep.

Sam let out a small whimper in her sleep.Puckering her lips in her sleep as her ear twitched.She curled into Ray and saw the light play of colors from her memories before it cleared to a clean color.She saw Zack's face and jolted up in a scream before covering her mouth with her hands and back away toward the fire,pulling her knee's to her chest and burying her face in them as she clenched her eyes shut.Tears teased her eyes as she sighed,trying to relax and not wake up Ray.He needed his sleep and though she was tired she really didn't really want to sleep knowing she would dream.This happened to much,it had been getting worse and that wasn't good,not at all.

In the morning Ray sat up with a loud yawn. He looked over at Sam, alarmed, "We're getting you some willow tonight. I'll mix it with the deidre. That'll keep away any dreams." He stood slowly, "I'll get breakfast. What do you want?"

Sam looked up at Ray,her ears twitching and nodding.It was like Ray to know what to get.She shrugged and blinked "I don't care.Anything is okay."She muttered,tucking some hair behind her ear and starting to put some branch's in the fire so it wouldn't go out."Just try not to kill anything okay.."She said,hoping he wouldn't.He always seemed to sneak away and do it anyway so she didn't know if he would listen or not.It as worth a shot though.

He tilted his head at her jokingly, "What? I'm supposed to find some things that have died a natural death? I don't think rotten meat is good and fallen leaves aren't edible." He laughed a bit then his mind wandered. Mushroom soup would be good, specially if he added some sage and wild onion.

Sam couldn't help but grin,darn Ray and his way to make her smile.She looked at him and chuckled "No,just,if you kill anything,make it painless."She said,rubbing at her arm "Please,just try for me,if you can."She said,a bit pleading.She hated killing.She really did,even if she had killed people before,she had always looked down on herself for it later,apologizing to the person even after death.She would drown in her guilt for weeks after but in the end,it was just something she had to deal with.

Ray chuckled then left the camp. "Hmm... So. Mushrooms..." He dug through the undergrowth, searching quite a broad area. He found a few of what he was looking for and began walking back. He spotted a large bird dying from what looked like a snake bite. He bent over it a broke it's neck. He glanced at the bite. The bird must've grabbed the wrong snack. He used magic to suck out the poison then carried the bird along with him to camp. "I'm back. Mushroom soup and Chicken ala ronge!"
