My name is Gohlycos but I prefer to go by the name Achreus when it comes to occult matters. I'm a chaos magician and I frequently visit occultforums.com. Although I'm a freelance artist, I call myself the Slacker Mage because I rather practice magic than getting a job. I'm a Pisces born in the year of the Monkey so that makes me a celestial sea monkey. I used to practice Bardon Hermetics but I realized that chaos magic is the thing for me because I have a knack for creating my own techniques. My usual motto in magic is "As long as it works, who cares?"

Oh and I joined this guild because I want to improve myself as a magician.

Hey, Im Tom. I guess I would consider myself a Pagan in that I follow the traditions of many pre-christian religions however I dont practice ritualistic magic. I am a sophmore in college studying Engineering Physics, but my main hobby is mythology, occult history, etc. I grew up in a generic christian house but never really believed it. A few years ago I began extensive research into pre-christian and alternative religions. After going through dozens of books on Wicca, Druidism, Shamanism, etc I moved on to various mythological studies such as Norse, Greek and Roman, Celtic and Slavic/Eastern European. Ive also done research into other texts such as the fabled Necronomicon (did I mention Im a librarian at the university library?). Anything else you want to know just ask.

Hi I'm the name above my head. I am parinoid so you probly won't get me real name.

I was born under the sign ophucius in the year of the horse.
The first signifigant thing I did in life was play Jesus in the nativity ( i had no choice) and i often wonder if having a congregation of french chathoholics pray to me and over me so close to my birth has effected me in some way. Like a bad peanut, christianity has never agreed with me.

When i was young, after hiting a combine and laying in the snow for some unknown amount of time, i saw god(or at least thought i did at the time).
When i was older than that i did other things.

Many entities do not like to be in rooms with me.
I have been most often call druid
I was once called "the shining white protector of the north"
I call my self Polythistic agnostic with magickal tendencies or an Idiot Edit: this is subject to change at any moment and then change back if i like
I have studied stuff

i am a N00b to forrums really...only been one them about 6-12 months

well talk to you in there

Edit: side note black cats refuse to cross my path they start to, turn, look strait at me and go back..i personal find this funny every time

Hello, I am Lunaris Wolf, but you can just call me Brad. I will be 21 in February and am currently training to be a fire fighter.

I was never raised to be religious or anything, but I was baptised Catholic and did attend chruch for a bit when I was young, but not only catholic church. My mom and I lived in Utah for a bit and we attended Mormon churches with my mom's friends.

As I grew older I began questioning the existence of God and what not. In middle school I started to consider myself an Atheist, though I had many religious friends. But as time went on and I became only slightly wiser i began to consider myself Agnostic, which is what I still consider myself. I do not believe in structured religion, I don't think you have to go to church or pray or anything to believe. I also don't necessarily believe in god, I just feel that with all of the religions in existence, why does christianity have to be the irght one? I know, it doesn't make sense, but don't worry about it.

I have done a lot of roleplaying with friends and in these rpg's i came across the Roleplaying company, White Wolf Inc. They make various games such as Vampire The Requiem and Werewolf The Forsaken. Well, as I started roleplaying this I became more and more interested in the occult, more specificly, Werewolves. I love the mythology behind them and even before that I had a passion for wolves.

But the occult all around interests me and I love talking about it and learning other people's belief's.

Hello I am Thomas
You can call me whatever you want so long as you do not take offense when I take the same liberty.
I do not identify with any particular religion organized or not. I am currently working on several theories dealing with human perfection and truth and other such fun stuff.
My full views I cannot hear encompass as I do not have the time or energy, but I promise that you'll be able to piece together an interesting puzzle through what I hitherto have to say.
I was raised christian, in the sense that my family went to church every sunday, but at home we practiced something much closer to the teachings of paramahansa yoganda, with much meditation, communication with the inner soul, and barely any reference to christ.
It's been a long and windy road, there may not be any end in sight, but up ahead I see a magnificent overlook. That should be far enough for now.

should of done this first *mutters*

anyways! Hello, I do be Liberi Glacialis. You can call me something that fits the username, Jeral, or Mazer. Do not ask why, just know that you can. I'm not big on starting things (but I might start something on a semi-occult, psionics), but I do like to be a devil's advocate. I do not follow a religion right now, and have a few strange beliefs. Including the fact that I belive the paionics (the powers of the human mind) exist, but not to the extent that people belive.

hopefully I learn something. hopefully.

Hi, my name is Alicara.
I'm a girl of 17. I read, a lot! Yup, a little book worm. I'm pretty quiet, at least on the net. I'm Wiccan, have been for 3 years now. I listen to a lot of rock (Opeth, Queensryche, Ozzy, Nirvana, Danzig) but I also like Fleetwood Mac, Les Mis, Forgotten Few, stuff like that. I'm a Rocky Horror junkie and I hate zombies.

Hello, all. I've been a member for some time but as of yet have not gotten around to introducing myself. This was predominantly because I was in the final stages of finishing up my business course. I only have a few typing tests left to do and then I'll be a certified Medical Office Assistant. smile

So now that I'm taking a little time off to recooperate, you'll likely see my name around a bit. I hope to make some friendships here and have great conversation.

To give you a basic idea of my angle on magic/k:

- Discordian
- Shamanism student about 1 decade (mostly totemic animal studies). I learned most of what I know from my "brother", who is Cherokee, Choctaw and Irish. As you might guess, I've known him for a decade as well. His Cherokee roots are from North Carolina. I think I'll be able to point Dust.And.Echoes (from page 1) in the right direction, as she mentions that she would like anyone who knows anything about Shamanism (and I imagine, her particular ancestral path of Cherokee), should contact her.
- I very sincerely believe that music can be a conduit for magic/k.
- I think critically of any occult book I come across.
- I don't care at all for certain publishing companies (that I feel make a mockery of magic/k and practitioners in general).
- One of my intellectual influences, where occult study is concerned, is the time that I spent on alt.magick, from 1996-2000 (off and on). That is not to say that I like to spam, troll, or otherwise be some cause of negativity.
- I am not a Satanist, but I do identify to some degree with the LHP in both my philosophy and my practises.
- I prefer to follow the beat of my own drum. I always have. I can remember being a child and somehow knowing what to do.

To give you some idea of my personality: I'm supposedly an "INFP person", tend to be a by-the-book Libran as well as a by-the-book Monkey Year person (October, 1980), am a musician, a fan and student of dance, have an interest in Inanna of Sumeria, and I am at a point where I am just "coming back" into my magic/kal self.

I'm also coming back into my spiritual self. I've followed the road through a number of different spiritual/religious affiliations, but have found at this point that I am very comfortable, at last, being an Eclectic.

A pleasure to meet you all.

Um, hello, I'm not that good at the Introduction thing, so I'll just put some info down.

I'm a 17 year old bisexual, and my name is Cameron. I am not religious, however I do have beliefs its just that I don't worship anything/one. When it comes to magic I practice a lot of things, and well if I was to type them up I would most likely forget a few, but my practices are best summed up as Direct Magic.

more then that you will have to find out from my posts as I'm not sure what else to put

Hi, my name is Matt. I'm 14 and Ive pracitced some form of magik or another on and off for most of my life. My entire family is either die-hard christian or 'atheist-christian'(My dad goes to roman ctholic mass but doesnt belive in a god...) and a few of my family members would probably try to lock me in a mental asylum if i showed myself to be a part of any religion besides theirs. I really dont belong to any formal religion though I do have my own beliefs. Im a natural empath (I can read intentions/emotions like a billboard eek ) and Ive picked up a good bit of occult knowledge in my reading. Im excited to be here, and I hope I can learn from you and maybe teach a thing or two as well.

introductions go here ...got it. I am an initiated ritual hermetic magician. I do apologize ahead of time if there is something i do not wish to talk about please do not be offended it is not personal.

why and how i started ? well it is best to quote crowleys poem Pilgrim Talk,
o thou that settest upon the path
false is the phantoms that thou seek
When thou has it thou shall know all bitterness
thy teeth fixed in the sodom apple
thus thouh hast been lured along that path
whose terror else had driven thee far away.

or on lamen terms...it doesn't matter. At the end of the day i am here and studying despite the crap that i have experienced magickal and mundane.

Yes i do use the spelling of magick in stead of magic, due to my work with quaballah and gemetria .

And i really don't care what you call me as long as you don't call me late for dinner.
