Those aren't real games. rolleyes Computer games are like Diner Dash or WOW. They have a story and a goal, other than viewing pics of naked chicks.

These games do have stories, character goals,
and even extras that you don't have to get before the "End Game" screen pops up.
And yes they do have definite start and stop points.

Japanese H-games have alot more story to it then you'd think.
Characters even have backstories.

Perhaps you're just getting them mixed up with those stupid little flash games that use japanese text.

I'm talking about the 2 to 3 disk installs that gives you a character with a backstory and the events in the story are chosen by you and your decisions.
I guess that they would be classified as "Dating-sims" with hentai.
But they do have story to them, some with more then others, like anything else.

True, True.

But there are those that are 3D.
And the majority I've played have h-scenes from start to finish.
Not just as rewards for completing the game.

I've played 2d ones with alot of story, 3d ones with no story, 3d ones with a little story, 3d ones with alot of story, and even a 2d one with alot of story and 3d action sequences. It just depends on how much story you want as compared to the h-scenes.

But these are the big 1-to-2 disk ones that you need a virtual drive to install.
They're from the big japanese game companies that unfortunately don't want any of their products getting out of japan. Thank fansub groups and torrenters that any of them get to america at all.

AHEM - that is if you like that sort of game

As you can see, dude likes to spend a lot of time on these things. xp It's kinda pathetic.
PostPosted: Wed Feb 11, 2009 10:30 pm
I don't spend nearly as much time as I did when I started, but most people could and probably would call everyone elses "things" just as pathetic.

It just just depends on who your talking to really.

I'm not talking about normal pathetic, like "I spend too much time on my stamp collection" or "he's on his computer all day and never goes out." An obsession with sex computer games is at the bottom of the barrel on the scale of pathetic. Obsession of any kind is to be avoided because it alters your perception of things and changes the way your brain operates, getting you stuck in one mode and one perspective. A brief fascination with a subject is one thing, but if it lasts more than a few months and consumes your every waking thought, it becomes unhealthy, whether it's war movies, porn, or licorice. Substituting an obsession for something you feel you lack in your life is bad for everyone. 3nodding

(I've been doing a lot of psychological rants lately, haven't I? o.O)

A lot of that is true, but as long as you don't become obsessed with it, it's no more of a problem then anything else.

I'm not saying that it's something everyone should do, I'm saying don't try to pretend that the desire that makes someone interested in something like that doesn't exist. If you ignore anything completely, it will eventually drive you nuts. You have to let off steam (so to speak) every now and then. Like punching a pillow when you get mad, it's not healthy to keep anything bottled up inside. Yet that is exactly what our society is trying to make everyone think. That it's best if you become an emotionless robot that doesn't think or feel at all. As long as you control any desire, and release it bit by bit when the time is right, then it's not hurting anyone. And the stress relief can actually be healthier for you. Besides, it's better then holding anything in and not being able to concentrate on anything else. Which is harder for us guys, because we can't control blood flow with our minds.

(yes you have - and very nice costume BTW)

Playing something or doing something always doesn't make it a stress buster. It's an addiction and that's never healthy.
