I think RE5 should open in the midst of something big that's just happened.Then slowly start revieling what happened beforehand. Like how wesker got exact control of Umbrella.

As for umbrella...

It's interesting, but won't the world just shut it down again?

Who knows, Umbrella covered up their tracks in the Raccoon incident, I don't think they'll have trouble doing it again. Thats if they do for sure come back.

Well for one thing, Wesker will probably show up in RE5. Notice I said probably. As in he will, unless that guy in the RE5 trailer isn't Chris Redfield. We obviously won't know that until Capcom announces the story line for the next installment in the series (which is RE5, just in case any confusion has come up reading this post).

Umbrella's return will probably be in the openning FMV for RE5.

Yeah, but, Wesker showed up in RE4, and Chris wasn't in it. Wesker's appearance does not depend on Chris' appearance, so even if it isn't Chris he'll probably show up anyway. But I think it's been pretty clear that it IS Chris.
