Yea I can see how dolphins make a much better swim team mascot than desert school mascot ^_~. But hey, one of the high schools' in my area mascot was The Farmers - I mean aside from the fact we are smack in the middle of suburbian east bay (one of the few places in the entire state where you actually are miles and miles away from the nearest farmland) that's just lame. Farmers? Really?! Although there rival school were the lancers which I thought was epic awesome - even if there isn't a knight in shinning armor to be found for miles anywhere this century.

Ooh octopi are awesome too. Yes I do like your sea creature list, those are all excellent choices. Almost laughing was enjoyable. I got to share that story later talking to a friend who was giving me band quotes (so that I can feel like I didn't graduate and leave the UCD band behind). The conductor said they were to do some sort of teresecada (I dunno how you spell it at all) scale but then this one french horns (who is ALWAYS getting picked on - obviously for good reason) said something like "wait we are going to play a terrorist scale?!" Ahh Olin, fun guy...^_^

Haha, seriously, I'd hate to be a Hayward High FARMER knowing my rivals were the Lancers...poor bastards. I don't remember what the mascot is for the third HS in Hayward actually...I'mma look it up right now.

AWW DUDE, the third HS is the Monarchs! That is severely rivaling Lancers here. Wow, that's just cruel. Monarchs, Lancers and FARMERS?!? Those poor poor bastards. I took the SAT II at Hayward High and remember looking at the giant farmer painted onto the building. It was one heck of a wtf moment. Had I known all they were up against I would have felt even more pity than I already did. Although way to nail the medeival class system Hayward, that's kinda spiff (you know, if you don't go to Hayward High ^_~).

I looked the Sun Devil up on wikipedia...he does look rather pathetic. Heck, he's a farmer on Halloween... razz

Ok, well more incentive to get through these apps so I can go find this attractive version of Kuwabara, haha, though yea I still can't imagine liking him as a character, but we'll see.

Right? I would refuse to go to Hayward High on the basis that there mascot is lame. Although honestly the Hayward District is kind of meh, so I'd probably refuse to go to all 3 schools. If I really had to pick I'd probably go with Mount Eden (to avoid being a farmer and going to Tennyson). Tennyson (the Lancers) have mediocre academics, awful sports, and no performing arts to speak of whatsoever. Hayward High is alright in the sports department but that so does not compensate for the farmer thing - in fact it makes it worse. I'll just be glad I lived in the part of Hayward that falls into the New Haven district - with so-so academics (better than Tennyson's by far though), alright sports (alright is still EXTREMELY better than Tennyson) and one of the best performing arts in the country - especially for music (the area in which I took part).

Only in America are kids more quickly suspended for sex acts (pretend ones at that) then violent ones. *sigh* - seriously though, at my HS people got up to some pretty heinous things and barely got more than detention, I think dry-humping a statue is at least pretty funny.
