Elzingaiv Chibi Riku 22 Yami Takashi Tenchi Misaki1 Ghost in the shell is getting a live action, and keanu reeves has been approached for the cowboy bebop live action to play as spike D: Oh hell noes, that bill and ted reject as one of anime's most bad a** fake eye bounty hunters? I know Keanu's not the best for the role, but were you expecting the Easter Bunny or something? sweatdrop xd Or maybe someone who knows martial arts of some kind, rather than wire fu. @ Ayanami you play shadowrun? Neat, I have friends that play...no current GM in town so I just get to hear about it. Played a few other systems tho...mostly D&D and Dark Heresy...played Exalted years ago. WHO THE HELL SOLD FOX THE RIGHTS!?!?! Why couldn't they get Tony Jaa from http://www.hulu.com/watch/97894/movie-trailers-ong-bak-2---exclusive-fight-scene or Hell even Lou Diamond Philips could play a better Spike then Keanu reeves.

Tony Jaa would make an awesome Spike in terms of action and fight scenes, because he defies the laws of physics! But, I don't know how he would do on the acting side of things...granted I have only seen Ong Bak and The Protector so my opinion is based on 2 movies, but I didn't see a complex series of emotions...just sad/angry/determined. I think that you need someone with more acting cred or they won't get the job...but then again they are casting Keanu so I guess they weren't really worrying about acting so much as name recognition -_-

Read down to the bottom of this page: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2009-11-22/funimation-adds-sekirei-tetsuwan-birdy-decode-and-decode-02
The good news is that Funimation now has FMP. The bad news is that someone is also planninng to make a live action FMP, and they initially wanted Zac Effron in the film. Thanks Zac for turning the offer down!

Never heard of the series
I wouldn't mind seeing a live action Appleseed movie. I need to set some time aside and watch the Blood the last vampire live action movie.
Oh yeah DBE2 is in the work, so they're not done with the dragonball franchise yet.
I just hope its decent, I was like WTF!??! when Goku didn't bring gohan back.
They should make a live action Inuyasha movie!!!

In 5-10 years someone will direct a Dora the explorer live action movie, and put some sexual tension between her and Diego. Oh and Boots will be totally CGI and even more half assed then the CGI used for the giant animals in movies like Komodo Vs Cobra. Anaconda was the shits, it had really realistically snakes. the cool thing about them were they were clay puppets.

Ayanami Rei First Child astroninja1 I take back what I said about it automatically being bad if its american made. the Wachowski brothers are the ONE exception to that rule. They did great with Speed Racer, and The Matrix was partly inspired by Ghost in the Shell. Thats were they got the idea for the plugs in the back of the neck Actually I'd say that they stole the whole VR "The Matrix" thing from Shadowrun. Shadowrun RPG game came out first, and the VR thing was called "The Matrix" and it was sort similar to what they had in the movies. Except a lot more different. One of the things I love about Shadowrun is the lack of overall Character Templates like you find in D&D. There's only a handful of real "classes" and that's mostly to do with the way you want your character. There's only 4 main classes, and the variety with them is pretty unique Also for each point you have in a stat or skill or for damage, you get that many dice to roll for success, to hit, and to damge. The numbers are your dice, rather then adding that number to your dice like most other games. Example: Deckers, people who can be hackers similar to Matrix or Ghost in The Shell. OR There's the kind of people that use tech to have ultimate control over vehicles, or they can use drones for combat. Example: Street Samurai people who use machines in order to enhance themselves. They don't get to do as much damage, but they can hide weapons in their arms, and soak up a lot of damage to. Example: Physical Adepts. They may use a little bit of tech to gain more initiative dice to try to go first, and more importantly gain tech to do extra attacks. They have the most dice for weapons, and can basically start with 12 damage dice PER HAND for SMGs. Or do a little bit less damage with a rifle. Unfortunately for each bit of technology they get, they get less magical goodness to enhance their physical abilities. Later on after gaining enough exp they can even start enhancing their stats and other fun abilities. They can also get extra dice for manipulating people. Example: Shamans. They use their charisma for drain, for casting magic has a chance to do stun damage on you. So they're the best casters, and great for manipulating people, because they are encouraged for high charisma. OR there's Mages who use their INT power for drain, and are therefore more encouraged for more professional stuff to gain money. They are better weapon smiths, non-magical doctors, and other good stuff. The best part is, you're not limited to what you SHOULD do with your class. A mage can learn to be okay at guns and learn stealth. A Shaman could even implant some tech for extra actions and other goodies. A Street Samurai could learn to be a ninja, learn non-magical medicine stuff, and other stuff. So you're really free to make your character how you want it. note i said PARTIALLY inspired. i knew i remembered there being other inspirations, and i think that was one of them

Concerning Keanu Reeves as Spike... I love Keanu and think he could possibly do a good job.
Ghost in the Shell... could be good, if casting and direction are done right.
What if there were a live action Tenchi?
