(OOC: I am having real problems with Gaia, and I need to leave for work in about five minutes. I'll set you up and ask dorkus-malorkus to finish, if that's OK with him.)

As you walk into the lightly wooded area, the air around you becomes filled with the hum of insects. Pretty flowers are everywhere you look, and the smell of pine lingers in the breeze. The needles crunch under your feet as you walk.

Off to your right, a swift bright-yellow bolt streaks up one of the trees near you and disappears into its dense branches. The hum of insect activity from that area grows suddenly louder.

(OOC: I am having real problems with Gaia, and I need to leave for work in about five minutes. I'll set you up and ask dorkus-malorkus to finish, if that's OK with him.)

As you walk into the lightly wooded area, the air around you becomes filled with the hum of insects. Pretty flowers are everywhere you look, and the smell of pine lingers in the breeze. The needles crunch under your feet as you walk.

You hear a soft rustling in the branch as you approach. Skiddish brown eyes glare down at you uneasily through the thick foliage. The droan of flying bugs gets louder, as well.

*tosses a rice cake she had in her pocket at it so it won't run away*

Its anger melted away at the sight of food and it quickly scurried over to the rice cake, nibbling it happily. "Pika!" it chided, enjoying the snack and becoming vulnerable.
