I was sitting on my computer one day (lol such a surprise) and watching some music videos. It was either Bat Country or Unholy Confessions (I don't remember) but I listened to it and I loved how it sounded. So slowly, I heard them on my internet radio (launchcast) and now they're one of my favorite bands! I can never make up my mind, so it's one of my 4 favorite bands to listen to...yes it's my own little system...lol

A few years ago I was playing video games and there was this kickass song called "Chapter Four" on the soundtrack of the game I was playing.

Um, I was over at my friends house and we were watching Warped Wednesay. So she was all like: "I found this awesome band. Watch their music video." Yea.......it was Bat Country and I fell in love with the band.
But you should see me now. I wore an A7X t-shirt to school on a day we had gym. So we had this substitute dude who was all like: "Avenged Sevenfold is a terrible band. I bet you don't listen to any 80's rock." So I listed all these 80's rock bands I listen to. When I said Metallica, he said they sucked.
So I threw a rock at him and called him a hoe.

There was this kid on Xanga that I was stalking``admiring {{ xd }} had a nifty picture of Zacky as his background picture. I thought he looked neat with his purdy hair and all so I searched to see who he was and then found out about the band. After that I bought Waking the Fallen and have been getting friends addicted to them since. X3
``I wasn't really stalking him. He had the most amusing blog entries I had ever seen so I always went back to read them. ;D

Whell, I had heard of them a couple of times, but then I bought the Guitar World Issue that had the Bat Country lesson in it, I listened to it, and loved it, then I learned it and started listening to them on YouTube, And heard Unholy Confesions, then I went out and bought WTF, and listened to it while playing halo II. But the ironic part is that one of the kids who i was playing halo with said "I Dont Want to listen to that s**t", and then he became a slipknot fan.

I saw the Bat Country video and became addicted to the song. Obviously, I had to go out and buy City of Evil. A week later, I went on a rampage to get every other album a7x had ever made, and so acquired Sounding the Seventh Trumpet and Waking the Fallen into my possession.

AwwHellJacobiss ummm its called Radio... am i the only one that is sticking to the old way finding great bands... Radio these days is too corporate. They have a 50 song playlist that they repeat all day, and most of the good songs that get played are requests. Besides, until '05 A7X weren't on the radio, at least not around where I live.
