I'm glad you quit a place that was treating you bad *hugs* Now you have more time to spend with us at the guild xd

Blue Media Designs sounds the best I think, but you might want to check if someone else hasn't already registered that business name already wink How exciting! Does it cost money to register a business in USA? It costs $100 here, which is why I'm just staying a sole trader sad

//EDIT: I got a trunk making this post! Silver's thread is lucky!

I like blue media designs as well. Blue line media sounds pretty good. I had a dream that I thought up a really kick a** name, but it is long since gone.

*Crosses fingers* I hope I get a rare event!

Get ready for a SilverUpdate. (wow, I'm a nerd)

My computer at home is all set up and ready to rock! 3.2GHz, 512 RAM, Radeon X600XT Video card... plus a sweet case. I have like 6 fans! Its pretty cool. I'm just getting all my stuff set up on it, like programs and everything.

I got a new computer at work too. Its even more insanely powerful... somehow I just couldn't afford a $2000 computer for myself... but at work its fine.

I'll need all that processing power now that I'm the ONLY ONE in the ad dept!! Both of the people I worked with have quit. Sam is going to be there just tomorrow most likely. I'm not too worried or anything.... he hasn't really done much in the way of projects for awhile, and I think I can handle everything till they get someone to help me. The only problem is, they're looking to hire fast and not necessarily hire right. Sigh. Why does everything have to be crazy and messed up? Sam gave them a proposal full of suggestions and comments about how the dept is being run, and I think they just looked at it and said, oh, Sam is complaining, not really saying anything important. They're certainly acting like they don't care about the people who work for them!

Let's see.... in other news.... I'm working on a couple websites. One right now in particular. It will be www.jeffstahman.com when I figure out how to upload it! I really am just being lazy, I should be able to get on there and do it. But I'm learning CSS in the process of doing this... and its really helping, its just hard to do it on my own without Hizzahn's help. Here's the layout. http://www.albertson.edu/student_pages/~ahahn/site1.jpg

And finally, I am really frustrated at GoLive right now. I'm trying to edit some music tracks, and I can't find information about the error message I get.

Thats all for now. I hope I can be on a bit this week!

Feh! What a week! Getting everything done plus interviews!! We finally found just the perfect person for the job though, and he starts Monday. I'm excited! We've been emailing back and forth already too, I figure if we can get to know each other a little before we jump right in to all the training we're going to have to do, that will help everything go smoothly.

Here's his site of photos. http://www.devilboxdesign.com/ (click on photoblog)

It was a fun challenge getting everything done every week, but it will be nice to have someone to help.

The guy who owns the company talked to one of the other people we interviewed who was realllllly good but didn't have enough personality really to be a good addition to the dept. So he's going to work for the head honcho. I don't envy him! Hehe. I think it will be really good.

So yes. Weekends are good. biggrin

Well, I'm back, I hope! Its been crazy... I've been fighting being sick, and really tired, and just nuts for awhile. I decided I really needed to start organizing my life, writing things down somewhere else than just Post-it notes....

So yes. I am desperately trying to think of a business name so I can print some business cards! I am getting some big projects lined up, and I want to have something professional to give them to remember me by!

I had thought of Blue Line Media, and I still like that. But I just don't know if its quite... personal enough? I'm just not sure. I can't believe how stuck I am. It feels very much like the frustration I felt at not being able to think of a solution to the design of a couple charts we do every month. We wanted them to look "cool" and creative, but there's not much you can do with a chart on a page.

Anyway, I digress. smile Wanted to use that word.

I am also almost done redesigning R2K2's site, and I just need to put the code together to put it up. I'm really excited. I've been getting email orders from the website and I figure I should have a form to fill out so I can get all the information I need to get it shipped fast.

So. Busy busy!!

Oh yeah! My birthday is the 29th of June! Almost there! I don't really have a wishlist (for real life or Gaia)... I'll be 23! Wow!

For the past couple weeks, I had been going through a serious burnout! I felt like I didn't have any ability to design something creative for the project we're working on at work, and I just felt really blah. So I found tons of design blogs to look through and I just kept looking for inspiration. Also, I had to convince myself to just start on something. That was the hardest part. Suddenly, on Friday, I put the first postcard together for the project, and after that I just had so many ideas and designed like crazy. It felt really good.

I also had two ideas for websites. One is a project that I'm going to work a little more on and then I'll show you all. The other is my own personal website! Yay! I'll get started designing that soon. My business name is now "Creative Media". Simple, yet spiffy. wink I just need a name to bring together all my projects under, and to be able to print some business cards.

I finished the redesign for R2K2, so look at the new layout here. Let me know what you think! ( I have yet to fix the whole thing so it displays right in Mozilla...)

I'm going to post a bunch of resources in the resource thread because frankly, I've found a whole bunch of new ones.

I'm so happy that my inspiration and creativity is back. Its great.... I felt so empty without it!
