Maybe they don't exist in the sense that they're actual spirits. They could exist as manifestations of an overactive mind.

Of course, how would anyone PROVE that there are lingering spirits around us? Or even prove that we have souls?

So many questions, so few answers. And no sound evidence has been brought up to prove or disprove any of it.
