Blur Makes Fun of Mario Kart

I played a demo of Split/Second. Holy god, I'll take that one over either.

Dunno, but Split/Second works just like Mario Kart. If you get blown up, they just drop you back down in a new car a few seconds later.

And you get blown up a LOT.

Dunno, but Split/Second works just like Mario Kart. If you get blown up, they just drop you back down in a new car a few seconds later.

And you get blown up a LOT.

I downloaded Split/Second because of you Allegro.
The first demo race I did was ok.
The second one was AWESOME!
The floor blew up under me! Then I drove around in an underground parking garage! Wat!

It's a good concept and executed well. It reminds me of burnout, but with sucky crashes.
Maybe rentable, I'm not one for racing games, but it was done well.

Split/Second was cool for those first few races. But I can't help but feel it'd get old real fast. Like when that airplane comes crashing down. Man that was awesome the first time I saw it. Significantly less so the second time.

It works for Excitebots. As long as there's solid racing behind it, it's probably got enough lasting appeal.

I can't think of any game that couldn't be made better with spiderbots.
