Vaul nodded slightly as he received her answer. "That will be preferable" he said as he followed behind her. It would take them four to five days of solid travel and he wondered if he would be able to keep up with her. Pushing the thought from his mind he found resolve in it. There was no way h could let his people down in there time of need. "Is there any particular reason you left" he asked. It might seem like he was a little pushy but he was just curious about the matter. A few thoughts crossed his mind as he scanned the surrounding area. It seemed that they where in the clear but he saw something moving around in the near by forest. It was most likely an animal then another party that wished to attack him. Then again he did have some assistance at this time.

Marie Marie sighed a little and shrugged. "I didn't want to follow in my grandmother and mother's footsteps, I wanted something different for my life, something adventurous." She glanced around their surroundings and took in the sounds around them. Right now there wasn't anything suspicious near them, so she relaxed and walked a bit slower, it was only then she realized how fast she had been walking. "Sorry about that, I sometimes forget to slow down." She laughed a bit then stopped as if a thought had just occurred to her. "Were you chosen to come here? Or did you offer too?" She asked, wanting to learn a bit more about him. after all they were going to be walking with each other for awhile now so they should get to know one another.

Vaul Moon
Vaul walked behind her and she moved far faster then he could in his present state. Listening to her answer he nodded slightly and was about to mention something to her when she spoke once more to him. "Its alright and it dose not help that I can't move quickly in this state but it should get better" he said as he looked over at her. Pondering her question, he reached up and rubbed the back of his neck. "A bit of both. It was offered to me but I was a bit reluctant to go at first" he said as he scanned the area.
Reaching for his side he placed his hand on the wound he received not to long ago. "But when a close friend died it changed my opinion on the matter and I left my home a week or two ago" Vaul added as he looked else where. He was just scanning the area because he was waiting for an attack to come at any second. So far she was the first person that greeted him in a friendly manner.

Marie Marie listened to his story and nodded her head, "I'm sorry you had to go through that," She gave him a soft smile hoping to maybe cheer him up a bit. She knew it couldn't have been easy for him to tell her that. She glanced around occasionally to check for danger and noticed that Vaul seemed to be doing the same thing. She reached over and put her hand on his arm. "Don't worry, no one will attack us here, I won't let them."

Vaul was not really sure how to feel about the matter but he did enjoy seeing her smile for some reason or another. "It is a common event sadly" he said as he brought his gaze to her. A thought or two wandered about his mind as he looked over a the area once more and then he felt a hand on his arm and looked over at her. "I will hold you to that" he said in a bit of a playful voice. Something about her told him that she could be trusted with his life but it would take a bit of time before they got to that point.
After an hour or so of walking he looked over at her and put and hand on her shoulder. "I need some rest" Vaul said as he looked over at her. Scanning the area he found what looked like a comfortable place to rest under a near by tree. There where a few around it but for the most part it was an open space. Walking under the cool shade he took a seat and leaned his head back relaxing a little.

Marie Marie smiled happily when she heard the playful tone of his voice. But nodded when he said he needed to rest. She watched as he sat down and did a quick scan of the area. it seemed all clear but she knew that there had been people here before them, this unnerved her a bit because this path was almost invisible to everyone but her. Apparently someone else had seen it and taken it to go see the Witches village as well. She looked around more carefully but didn't see anything else that seemed worrisome. " We aren't alone on the path, But it's probaly nothing. I'll keep my eye out for anything dangerous though." She turned and faced him as she said this. She opened her bag and took out some food and handed some to him. "Eat, this well help you get your strength back." She sat down beside him.

Vaul pressed his back to the tree and closed his eyes for a moment. His body was tired and the black scrawl did not help him in any way. Although he knew if he pushed him self too hard it could be the end of him. Eventually he opened his eyes and looked towards her as she spoke. "We will just have to keep an open eye then" he said. It should not be to difficult to keep track of those that where around them at least for now. The area was rather open and the sun was still up.
He watched as she grabbed something from her bag and then he was handed some food. Vaul was not sure if he could eat at this time but it was needed to keep him alive. "Alright" he said. Although he shifted away from her when she sat down next to him and made sure his face could not be seen, he placed his mask beside him. "I am sorry if this seems odd to you but we do not normally show our faces to others" he said. "Unless they are family or lovers" he added before taking a bite of the food he was given.

Marie Marie turned herself when she saw him start to remove his mask, so that now she was facing the opposite way. she couldn't help wondering what his face looked like. "Has anyone besides your family ever seen your face?" She asked and suddenly was glad that she was facing the other way because her face turned red. What kind of stupid question was that? She scolded herself, Now he's going to think I'm flirting with him She shook her head, "I'm sorry." She said almost immediatly

Vaul was chewing on a piece of food she had given him when she asked about his love life. A smile slowly formed on his face after he shallowed and he pondered her question for a few moment. "There is nothing to be sorry about" he said. "There was one women that stole my heart years ago" he added but there was pain in his voice. A sigh came from him as he leaned his head back and stared at the leaves that where above him. "But like most of my people she two was taken and it will not be much longer before I am as well" he said in a grim tone. This was not a pleasant existence what so ever but they had to fight through such things if there race where to survive.
"Has anyone taken your heart Marie" Vaul asked in a curious tone. He felt it was only fair that he got to know that part of her seeing as she had asked him. It might seem odd that he was being open with her but then again this was his nature and it also common for his people to act in such a manner.

Marie Marie felt a twinge of sadness when he told her of another person he had lost. How did this disease come to place? Why did it attack only his people? She heard him ask her if someone had ever stolen her heart. "No." She shook her head a bit sadly, she had never found anyone she felt she could love forever. She always wondered if she should have spent more time looking, but thinking back she didn't think it would matter much. The boys of her village weren't people she wanted to be with very much.

Vaul finished eating the food she had given him and reached for his mask soon enough and covered his face once more. His crystal blue eyes glowed softly before he moved towards her once more. He sat next to her but there was some distance between the two of them at this time. "I see" he said as he looked over at her. There was a gentle expression on his face under the mask and it would remain hidden for the time being. A few thoughts crossed his mind as he watched her for the time being.
He was not sure what else to say, conversations where never really his strong point. "We should get going and thanks for the meal" Vaul said before slowly lifting him self to his feet. This time around he offered his hand to her. It was the mechanical one however and he hoped she did not mind it. "As well is there any village we can stop by on our way there" he asked in a curious tone.

Marie Marie took his hand without flinching. She didn't mind that he had mechanical parts on him, she saw through all that to who he really was or well what she had seen so far and so far he had showed kindness, and intelligence and seemed like a very good person. "There is a village about a mile away. They will take us in for the night, I know someone there." she commented and began walking in the direction. This time slower then before.

Vaul took her hand in his own and his grip was gentle as he helped her to her feet. Releasing his grasp he looked over at her and nodded slightly. "It will be nice to sleep in a bed once again" he said as he followed behind. He noticed that she was moving at a slower pace so that he could keep up and he was thankful for this. It was nice to have some company for once instead of traveling alone. "I take this person is a friend" he asked as he brought his gaze to her. A moment later he heard something move around the area and saw it was nothing more then a rabbit of sorts.

Marie Marie thought about what he had asked. "Yeah I guess you could say she's my friend. We haven't talked in awhile but she told me that if I ever needed anything to go to her." She heard a sound and spun around quickly, "Boone!" She smiled as a large shaggy dog came out of the trees. She ran toward the dog and leaned down to place kisses all over his head. "Vaul this is boone. He used to be a human before a spell went wrong, so he's been the village's companion ever since." She smiled/

Vaul nodded as she spoke to him and a few thoughts crossed his mind at this moment. He hoped that this friend was also open about others and would be willing to put up with him for a night. Hearing something else moving around them his attention was drawn towards her and then to a creature of sorts. There was a curious look in his eyes and he knelt down slightly to get a better look at it. "I see as well what is that" he asked as he looked back over at Marie. This was his first time encountering a being like this and he shrugged slightly. Although it seemed to be friendly enough as she was playing with the creature or so he assumed.
