"Sunny this, whatever it is, is hurt" Nicky said kneeling down trying to get a better look at him.

(I was totally not looking at porn, totally.)

She took a closer look at the huddled beast. He was most definitely feral. "I think I've seen this species before... in a biology text book. It looks a lot like a dire wolf." She shook her head. "That can't be possible though, because... they've been extinct for thousands of years."
She looked again at the furry under the bush. "Hey, are you okay?"

Desmond looked from the hyena to the human, back to the hyena again. He couldn't understand why two such different species were working together. He growled again.

"So what should we do?" the young boy asked looking up at the woman, seeking guidance.  

[Pinoeo]

Name: Aiden Rienheart
Species: Calico Cat of leopard-like proportions/ Modern species.
Age: 19, going on 20.
Personality: Clever, witty, optimistic, and perhaps overly passionate at times. He's got a tendancy to blame himself should something go wrong, and is the type to hide his pain behind a smile for the sake of the others around him.

Sunshine noticed the way the dire wolf kept looking suspiciously at the human boy. "I think he doesn't trust you," she said. "Maybe if you stood out of the way somewhere, I could talk to him and calm him down just a bit. After all my species is more similar to his than yours." She smiled awkwardly, hoping she hadn't said anything offensive.

"Fine it's clear you don't need my help. See you around Sunny!" Nicky was angry and ran off off pissed. Sunshine was one of his few friends and he felt unwanted.  

[Celtic zombie-kitten]

"Wait, Nicky!" she called. "Don't leave! I still may need you once he's calmed down. Please don't be upset!" But he was already gone, so she sighed sadly and turned back to the feral boy under the bush.
"It's okay," she said in a soothing voice. "I promise not to hurt you. I only want to help."
More quietly, she added, "How on Earth did you get here? You guys are supposed to be extinct..."

With the human gone, Desmond relaxed slightly, but he was still scared, and he was still in pain. He whined a little, but remained hostile to the strangers...

((Aiden, this might be a good time for a scene transition if you want. If not, I'll continue from Desmond's point of view.))

" I'm afraid that might be my fault, miss. Or, at least, the organization I work for. You're correct-- that furry's breed is exstinct. He doesn't belong to our time. "

Having pursued the dire wolf by DNA tracer to this point, Aiden paused to catch his breath, mildy dissheveled in his normal work attire. His expression was apologetic, and his ears half flicked back behind his goggles.

He noticed the other guy coming up to her and did what he knows best, spying. Nicky hide out of sight and listened in on what they were saying.

"I thought so," Sunshine replied. "Those teeth are too big to fit a normal wolf, and he's so wild... But anyway, why am I telling you this? You're the expert. How did he get here, and how are we supposed to help him? He looks like he lost a fight!"  

[Pinoeo]

" We opened a portal to his time by incident-- I was the first to protest delaying it's closing, but my professior and the leader of the project, a human by the name of Gabriel Hoss, saw it as an opportunity. He hoped to collect samples of the species DNA, in hopes of perhaps studying them and seeing if they could be used for the purposes of helping cure modern illnesses for furries, like Feline Leukemia. " Aiden stated professionally, sighing, " That Dire Wolf managed to escape through that portal and get through our lab. "

" As for why he looks injured, I don't know. We've been trying to track him down for a while now, but he's eluded us. Who knows what he could have encountered? "

While the scientist was speaking, Sunshine found that her dire wolf friend had scooted closer to her. She looked back at him, surprised.
"So how do we get him out of the bushes? He needs help." She looked down at the long scars on his leg, thinking poor thing.
